Allow secondary/alternate emails for members
Current features:
Each contact/member (company or individual) can only have one email that is used to receive messages.Desired features:
Allow contacts/member to have multiple emails that can be used to receive emails.486 votesTeam Husky respondedSorry for the late update.
The first step was finished and emails can now be carbon copied to contact’s alternative emails. To do so the contact fields which store the alternative emails must be explicitly marked on the email setting page.
Unsubscribing will unsubscribe all alternative emails simultaneously because they all belong to the very same account. The person clicking “unsubscribe” is warned about this on the unsubscribe page.
For now we paused the development of this feature. but not for good. :) So I’m changing this wish status back to “collecting comments”.
Thank you everyone for a valuable feedback.

Customize how Member ID is generated
Is there a way I can designation a "starting number" for the member ID field? For example, if I am setting up a new membership database and I would like our member ID numbers to begin at 500.

Re-Sorting Event Registration Types
The event registrations are sorted by $$ cost only and cannot be resorted. We have a big 3-day meeting and one can register for 1 day (any day), 2 days (any 2 days) or 3 days, then different member categories, then non-members can attend too, and the 28 different registration types are all messed up when sorted only by $$ cost. Can you fix this so we can sort the registration types by other means? Thank you.

Gadget to show recently updated pages
Current behavior:
users have no way of knowing which webpages have been recently updated - unless administrator manually creates a page informing them of updates.Desired behavior:
Some kind of module/widget which can be inserted onto any page and which dynamically would show most recent updates.Notes:
1) ideally track which pages users has already seen.
2)What's the best way to show updates? Simplest idea: Top 10 mostrecently updated pages. For each page - show page name, date updatedand user who updated it (probably show this only to logged in members, not to the public)11 votes -
Login widget for embedding WA into external sites
Current behavior:
Wild Apricot pages can be embedded into other websites using our 'widget http://help.wildapricot.com/display/DOC/Adding+Wild+Apricot+functionality+to+other+websites ' functionality. This includes member-only pages.Desired behavior:
'Login' widget which displays a login box and after login redirects to a particular 'target' page selected by the administratorWorkaround:
Embed this 'target' page instead - it will display a login prompt to users and then redirect to the target page.24 votes -
Ability to export backup of the whole account
Current behavior:
Wild Apricot automatically backs up all the datain all accounts daily. However, this is intended for emergency serverproblems only and these backups are not accessible to clients.Restoring a specific page or set of records on client request is a timeconsuming operation (which we currently do not charge for).
Thereare also export operations for all the key data sets (members, donors, event attendees, payments) but these do not cover settings and webpages and have to be run manually one by one.Desired behavior:
Ability for clients to initiate a full backup of their account at any time.Notes:
1)The key issue is to generate backup which can be browsed in some way,for example to manually retrieve some records for manual emergencyrestore - or to transfer the data into another system.
2) ideallythis backup can be imported back into the account. However thisincreases the volume of work required by a huge margin.Current behavior:

Add moderation of new forum posts
Current behavior:
All posts and replies are published immediately (subject to the user having appropriate access rights on the particular forum)Desired behavior:
Ability to moderate posts/commentsImplementation ideas:
- Administrator can specify whether forum should be moderated or not (maybe by each membership level?)
- Administrator can assign moderators
- All new posts/replies according to settings go into moderation list
- Moderators receive notices (probably option: each message/daily digest)
- Moderators have online list of messages to be moderated and can approve/reject/edit them
- once approved, message is displayed.

Listserv i.e. ability to submit forum posts by email
Current behavior:
Discussions and collaborations between members can currently only be handled online (within forum or blog pages)Desired behavior:
Listserv functionality where members can mail-in comments and receive email summaries of all commentsNotes:
1) The biggest challenge is how to enable this without overloading our servers with email traffic. This can ramp up quickly.
2) We are starting the work on forum email notifications, this handles this need at least partially.275 votesEvgeny Zaritovskiy respondedPlease review results of our analysis and design:

Preparing and printing event participant badges
Current behavior:
To print event participant badges, attendee list has to be exported into Excel and something like Microsoft Word mail merge used. This provides a lot of flexibility but obviously is less convenient than a built-in badge generatorDesired behavior:
Built-in functionality to define badge layouts and to print out badges in common label sizes right from the systemNotes:
We would appreciate feedback about desired label formats (sizes) and customization needs for badge layouts/design176 votes -
Limit number of selection for individual registration options
Current behavior:
Automatic cap of event registrations is currently set for the whole event only.Desired behavior:
Many people use custom event fields to handle registrations for specific sessions within large events. What's needed is the ability to specify for each option in such fields that it should be limited to certain number of people. Once the limit is reached, option should become unavailable.
An example:
Which extra sessions you want to attend?
[] Golf $150 - Max 30
[] strip club $100 - <No Max>
[] History museum $20 - Max 50160 votes -
Affiliate program integration
Current behavior:
There is no way to send an autiomatic confirmation to the affiliate system if it is used to drive new membershipsDesired behavior:
Ability to capture the affiliate source for member coming to the application page and then send a confirmation upon successful member application.Notes:
1) Confirmation will probably be implemented by allowing custom Javascript code to run after completed memberships
2) Need to figure out a way to distinguish when that should be sent (how would the system know where the application is originated)
3) Different processing for different membership levels is probably needed58 votes -
Member to member messages
Current behavior:
Currently one member can contact another only outside of the system - and only if that member has disclosed his contact information (email/phone)Desired behavior:
Members should be able to contact other members right on the site, without having to expose email addressesNotes:
Messages can be forwarded to member emails - or displayed to each member when logged in.85 votes -
Online payment discount for event registrations
Current behavior:
For event registrations, whether people choose online or manual payment, this does not affect the price.Desired behavior:
Becauseof possible no-shows, it is desirable to be able to motivate people topre-pay online instead of manually or at the door. Thus, administratorshould be able to specify a discount applicable for onlineregistrations (probably a dollar amount)7 votes -
Document Library Gadget
Our community organization maintains a lot of short legal PDF documents for reference by our members. The current website we use has a document library function which makes it easy to load a lot of documents into a web page. This page then lists their titles, when they were added, how many hits each document has had over time, etc. You can also sort and resort the documents by clicking on the various column headings.
Right now, we have to manually insert details about each document into a static HTML table. Keeping the documents properly sorted is also difficult. If WA were to offer this type of Functional Page, the folks responsible for maintaining the document library would be much more enthusiatic about the migration. Thanks!

Members to be able to submit events
Current situation:
Not supported, only administrators can create events.Desired:
Members have the ability to submit simple events which can be approved by administrators.267 votesDmitry Smirnov respondedEven though it is not a direct implementation, I hope this could be helpful:
We just launched integration with Integromat platform, which helps to build automated workflows. We also provide several templates for quick start, and one of them allows to copy google calendar events into WA events. So if you share a google calendar for events submission, then the scenario could copy submitted events into your Wild Apricot account.
You can try this integration by this link https://www.integromat.com/en/integration/2275-copy-google-calendar-into-wild-apricot-events -
Wild Apricot in other languages
Current behavior:
Wild Apricot administration is only available in English. Websites and emails can use different languages, but system pages and gadgets may contain some uneditable English text.Desired behavior:
Support different language sets, which will update all labels to the selected language.112 votes
