1. SEO: Custom meta description and title tag for each Event. Also a "list title" as opposed to Page Title and Headline

   Please give more robust Search Engine Optimization capability to those of us who know its importance and know how to use it.

   It's more than "SEO"; it's a matter of site functionality.

   We get a lot of visitors from search engines. Often they find and go directly to an event description page, or the overall list of events, where they register and have are not even aware that they should know more about us first. For this reason, and for SEO reasons, we would benefit greatly if we were able to tweak the displayed page title and search snippet for EACH event description. Otherwise, Google picks up fragments of text containing the search words, which is usually does not help convert to a clickthrough, and does not help us explain what they've found.

   I believe HTML 5 allows meta tags to be contained in the body of a page (rather than in the header), but it requires a certain specification in the header. I am unfamiliar with the required code and syntax, but surely someone at WA is. However WA's HTML editor immediately deletes any meta tag in the event description, unless it is contained in an HTML comment tag, which will probably make it ignored, or worse, look like spamming. So that needs attention from WA, too.

   Please rocognize that a Title tag, a page Headline (e.g., H1), and the title of an event as shown in the master events list are NOT the same things (and for that matter, neither is the page's file name, which we cannot customize for an event, either, right?). Each serves a different purpose and needs to be worded specifically for that. The title that appears in a SERP would look stupid, wordy and redundant in a list of events, and would not be an attractive headline. It might contain stop words and punctuation and would often be relatively long, so it would not be good as a custom URL, either.

   In summary, each event description (and similar generated pages) needs the following fields, which can contain defaults but need to be individually customizeable for that particular event:

   • Custom URL (file name, for that particular event)
   • Title tag (for that particular event). Field length should match Google's typical minimum (although actually Google goes by the space used, not character count, so allow a bit extra).
   • Meta Description tag (for that particular event) (ditto regarding field length)
   • "List" title (appears on the list of all events and as the Title macro in emails)
   • Headline for the description text (an existing capability)

   This is mainly about Google but of course all major search engines are relevant. And this is all standard SEO/marketing best practices, nothing "black hat" about it.

2. Ability to customize security aspects of {Registration_buttons} macro (warning message, auto-login behavior) in event announcements emails

   Current behavior:
   When an event announcement email includes the {Registration_buttons} macro
   - buttons has the ability to auto login recipients
   - security warning advising against forwarding the email will automatically appear in red at the top

   There are some issues with this solution:
   - "scary" security warning may reduce attendee engagement
   - risks of having autologin link in email might not be clear enough
   - there is no customization available (i.e there is no way to switch off autologin functionality and remove message)

   Desired behavior:
   We need to find proper balance between usability and security here

5. have better event tag management

   Currently it is possible to add arbitrary words as tags to an event's event tag text field. This allows events to be filtered on calendars/event lists and on the administration side allows them to be filtered for by those tags. Currently tags can be added in the edit mode for any given events. Currently tags can only be deleted by going into each even that has the tag and individually deleting the tag.

   Aside from dates/times and locations tags are the only means by which it is possible to categorize an event for event workflow, administration, and display purposes.

   This proposal is to make tags more useful by allowing them to be managed centrally from the administrative backend.

   1) In Administrative View on the Settings page under Events there would be an entry for Event Tags. This entry would bring up a text box containing all event tags used on the system. This text box would be editable.

   a) Adding a tag would add the tag to the list of available tags for all events. Next to the text box there would be an administrative toggle present that would restrict or allow tags to be added in individual event descriptions (the latter of which is the current practice).

   b) Deleting a tag would delete the tag from all events.

   c) Changing a tag would change that tag for all events.

   2) Each event could be edited to be allowed to show on its web page a subset of the general pool of events tags, as defined in the event.

   This proposal is intended to be an interim proposal that will allow organizations to compartmentalize events among administrators, to establish rudimentary event workflows using tags, and to display some tags on event descriptions for end users (such when used as program codes).

   If this proposal is combined with the existing proposal under review to allow end users to submit events the event proposal form could be improved by having UI elements that map to specific tags. This would allow for data validation within the organization's event submission workflow.

   When a member registers for an event, he/she receives the standard event confirmation email. I would like to be able to set up different confirmation emails for each registration type.

7. emails: choose a list of contacts and then manually be able to delete or add individual contacts to that list

   Many many things. But one is the following. When sending an email blast I would like to be able to choose a list of contacts and then manually be able to delete or add individual contacts to that list. There might be someone who is in a list I made of donors that have donated since 2012 that I do not want to email this time. I can't seem to do that currently.

8. Easy linking to anchor on another page

   Fix the Insert Link tool to allow pasting a URL that includes an anchor!
   Editing html for this is a big pain, especially in pages with thousands of words of text and reams of paragraph/span codes, and scores of potential links. 9. Provide secure FTP to Resources folder, WebDav is too slow and unreliable

   File upload via the main files 'widget' is slow and cumbersome, and WebDav uploads are very slow, and often unreliable. Secure FTP should be straightforward to implement, and would make life much simpler when managing large numbers of files.

10. Slack Oauth integration

    Slack https://slack.com is taking the world by storm on community building. You may have heard of how easy it is to participate in a real time discussion, with easy to use collab tools. It's killing email, they say.

    Slack has OAuth v2 support. Wild Apricot has Oauth support. How about single signon support for Slack from WA?

    This would make it really easy to add collab groups to an existing WA community and extend Wild Apricot's functionality to run meetings, projects and other collaborative, geographically distributed projects all through Slack.

11. Bulk event management

    Bulk event management (create/delete/modify) bulk delete can be done in the UI via checkboxes on the event list bulk create/modify could be based off spreadsheet export/import like we can do with contacts The current functionality is a serious impediment for us trying to add multiple events per week for several months ahead.

12. Importing payments from QuickBooks online

    An extremely useful feature would be the ability to export payment data from QuickBooks (including the online version) into WA. Many of our corporate members pay by check, and currently we have to manually update WA to reflect those payments. That shouldn't be necessary.

13. Event attendance comparison report

    Hello All.

    The organization that I set WA up for has multiple events each week, month, year. They are looking for a way to easily capture the number of registrations and compare them over the month/year.

    The feature that I would like to see is an option to select an event name (our events have a relatively standard naming system) and compare the attendance of each event that was held over a definable period of time.

    It would be nice to also be able to see a list of attendees, which could be sortable/searchable by the number of times the individual attended the event in the given time period.

    We would also like to be able to compare the attendance of multiple events as well. What I mean by that is to be able to see attendance from Event 1 and Event 2 over a defined time period on one screen.

14. Ability to embed Google Adwords Code to track advertising effectiveness

    Google AdWords has a great function that allows you to set up a variety of codes that track "actions".

    I am trying to use AdWords to get people to sign up for our annual conference and to join the organization. Both actions require a credit card transaction to be considered a "success".

    I understand that I cannot put google code on the shopping cart -- (because WA controls those pages) but I must have some means of tracking the effectiveness of our advertising dollars.

    Can you please add a page that I can use that appears right after the point of purchase? Something where we can say "thank you" and put that code right on the page?

15. Make Member Since field available in Member Directory

    See note below. Our members would benefit to learn when everyone become part of our organization. It offers continuity and a since of longevity. I contemplated just creating a field, but that was too easy, so I decided to add this to the wishlist to see if others agree and it would save me the time to create the field and maintain it since it is already a system fields. Do all of you agree?

16. A Robust Blog Feature

    Blog Widget. I'm used to Wix or Square that can be easily shared on social media. This Wild Apricot feature is not robust enough to draft articles, see it in full page form and link individual stories into a newsletter. Any chance there will be some focus on this feature soon? 17. Sort/Filter items on online store products page

    It would be really helpful if we could filter and sort the items in the online store products page. Right now we have to scroll through a long list to see what is out of stock and what is available. If there are only a few items it isn;t a big deal but it makes inventory management very challenging with a long list of items.

    Enhance polling capability to allow for multiple "announcement emails" similar to the event announcement capabilities. This would enable us to invite members to take the poll and not send the email to members that have already taken the poll.

19. better read only administrator access control

    We need to give some Admins read only permission to our members data but also full Events admin access. In this case we would want them to maintain the 'write' access associated with the Events Admin but also have the additional Read Only components added with the 'RA' access.
    The selector does not allow this combination to be selected.
    This is a critical issue which is preventing some of our members from fulfilling their roles in our club. We do not want to solve it bu giving them full configuration access.

    The ability to separate core configuration access and read access for each of the main access types, and to be able to select a combination thereof would address this (although our priority for this is for Membership data)
