I would love to disable the "maybe" for the registration button on a simple invitation. Right now we need to determine quorum for a meeting prior to everyone's arrival and when people choose "maybe" we have no idea if quorum has been reached. People show up and then we have to cancel.

Need to be able to disable the "Maybe" button in Simple Events. It's not there in the Advanced Events emails. It makes the Simple Events mechanism unusable for us.

As with TangentRW and Anonymous, I would like to see the ability to change the options shown through the widget. In our case I would like to see the ability to remove the 'Maybe' option from the widget. When you have an event where you need a hard count of attendance, such as for meeting space or a headcount for meals, a 'Maybe' just makes it tough. Our issue is with meal planning where we have to give a count to the cater. If we count the 'maybe's' and they don't show then we are on the hook for those meals. You have 15 Maybe's and meals are $20/person, you can see how this adds up if they do not show up.
Please consider either allowing the widget to be modified or offer a couple of choices of the registration button macro.

I agree with TangentRW that it is critical to be able to remove the "Not Attending" button -

We would also be very interested in that feature - to customise the behaviour, link and look and feel of these buttons.

We generate invitations using a Graphic Designer and would really like to incorporate these buttons into our invites but the colours / style / theming needs to be able to modified. Love the addition of 'Not Attending' - so helpful and relevant when following up with invitees!

I would also request an option to delete the Not Attending button.
I confess that I have not observed exactly what the Not Attending button does but some event organizers will not want to see that as an option for their events because it subtly encourages casual readers of the email to simply make the easier choice of not attending. I can see why some organizers would want it but other organizers should have the option of not offering it.
Incidentally, I could not find anything in the documentation about what the Not Attending button does. When I press it, it simply takes me to the event web page. Does it do anything else or is it part of a planned future feature?
