Ability to embed Google Adwords Code to track advertising effectiveness
Google AdWords has a great function that allows you to set up a variety of codes that track "actions".
I am trying to use AdWords to get people to sign up for our annual conference and to join the organization. Both actions require a credit card transaction to be considered a "success".
I understand that I cannot put google code on the shopping cart -- (because WA controls those pages) but I must have some means of tracking the effectiveness of our advertising dollars.
Can you please add a page that I can use that appears right after the point of purchase? Something where we can say "thank you" and put that code right on the page?
Many thanks!!!

The suggestion from Vaughn would work in a pinch, but then every event would have to have a different goal URL in google analytics, so it's not really a good solution. With weekly events you'd use up all available goal slots pretty quickly in Analytics...

I was able to track Google Adwords Conversions by embedding the tracking code from Google Analytics. You can do this by using the "Goals" feature in Google Analytics.
You will need to connect your Adwords and Analytics accounts through the Analytics platform. Do this by clicking on the gear icon in the bottom left and then under Product Linking choose Adwords Linking.
Once you have linked your Google Adwords and Google Analytics account then you will need to click the gear icon in the bottom left corner of Analytics. From this screen on the far right, you will see, "Goals."
Click on "New Goal" and then set up your goal using the custom feature. You will need the registration address to determine a conversion. I usually register myself and then copy the correct address.
Now that you have determined the goal in Analytics you will want to go back to Adwords and click on the wrench in the top right corner. Under the measurements, section choose "Conversions."
Click the blue plus button and then choose "Import." Import the goal set up in Analytics. If the process was done correctly you will see the goal you created in Analytics. Once you find the correct goal add it as a conversion in Adwords.
By doing this your Adwords Campaign will track whenever the goal was completed after clicking on your ad.

This is pretty important, I can't believe people haven't voted this up. Not being able to track registrations or sales in GA is a pretty bad oversite on WA's part.
A bit of a work around. I know that when people pay for a new membership it eventually sends them to an invoice page. Mine is this
https://kdreport.wildapricot.org/Sys/FinDocument
followed by a "/random_numbers_here" You can set a goal in Google Analytics to trigger off of "Begins with"
So that the goal tracks all visits to this page and any other pages in the Fin Document folder.
So all these pages would trigger the goal

https://kdreport.wildapricot.org/Sys/FinDocument/8798427394
https://kdreport.wildapricot.org/Sys/FinDocument/0889723Etc.
If they revisit the page, it will trigger another sale but this is better than nothing.

Being able to track the conversion when spending money on ads it definitely a must have. Please move that request to the top of your list for future developments.
Google tracking code needs to be inserted in the sale confirmation page, there is currently no such page.
Thank you.

I think technically this is very similar problem to what is discussed at http://forums.wildapricot.com/forums/308932-wishlist/suggestions/8825569-affiliate-program-integration-2986

Hi Chief,
Google AdWords has a great function that allows you to set up a variety of codes that track "actions".
We are using AdWords to get people to sign up for our membership and we really want to track how many members are from AdWords so that we can control our ROI.
We must have some means of tracking the effectiveness of our advertising dollars.
Is it possible to add a page that we can use AdWords tracking code right after the point of purchase? Something where we can say "thank you" and put that code right on the page?
Can you put this requst on the Roadmap?
Thanks.

We are greatly interested in this as well. Actually, we want anything that can help us track new signups, new paying customers, etc.
This type of conversion tracking is critical for anyone trying to learn what is working on thier site.
