Want ability to choose more than 1 name at a time from contact list
Allow me to pick more than one name at a time from the contact list for an email.

And give the option of "Reply All" when sending a small group email, for example an email to the board of directors, when the ability to respond to a question that all can see and comment on, is desirable!

I will spend more time creating and validating a search than if I can just select all the names I already know when creating the email.

You can define searches using "Advanced search" under Contacts or Members, then add the full results of the search to your emails using the "+ Contact list" feature. You can also add special internal fields to your database to make this kind of searching easier.
If you just want to add a handful of names on the fly, I agree it would be nice to be able to select more than one at a time.
