An error occurred while saving the comment Cindy Cooper commentedI think this description means a list of people waiting for an event yet to be scheduled. It doesn't mean a waitlist in the Wild Apricot terms. We do this by created an event called "Interest in Book Club" for example. People can register for this and the next time we have enough, we start a new club. This way people can see themselves on the list and self cancel if they are no longer interested.

An error occurred while saving the comment Cindy Cooper commentedThe capability to do this is available through use of a password, but that is awkward. We would rather have a simple way to create a limitation on who can sign up. Further, we would like to put a numerical limit on some groups, while allowing different limits or unlimited registration by other groups.

The thread was divided into two, managing guest registrations in admin app and registering guests in the member app.
The latter is in progress, you can find the update here: https://forums.wildapricot.com/forums/308932/suggestions/48343238

But for now, since admins must perform this function, we should have the ability to do it on the mobile app like we do on the website.

Even though it is not a direct implementation, I hope this could be helpful:
We just launched integration with Integromat platform, which helps to build automated workflows. We also provide several templates for quick start, and one of them allows to copy google calendar events into WA events. So if you share a google calendar for events submission, then the scenario could copy submitted events into your Wild Apricot account.
You can try this integration by this link https://www.integromat.com/en/integration/2275-copy-google-calendar-into-wild-apricot-eventsAn error occurred while saving the comment Cindy Cooper commentedMost of this looks terrific! I take it all of these would be free events as I see no place to put price. Also no limit or waitlist capability, unless the administrator can add it later?
No approval from administrators - you make a big assumption that we would trust all members. Usually it's just a few who might go outside the norms, and it's impossible to create groups of "approved" for events without offending those who are not approved for events. At least the option to have an administrator emailed when the event is created allows quick response to take down something that would not be approved.
More likely, additional questions might need to be asked for the event to have full information before it is sent out to members, such as carpooling, etc. We have an approval process for new members, seems there should be one for new events.

Sorry for the late update.
The first step was finished and emails can now be carbon copied to contact’s alternative emails. To do so the contact fields which store the alternative emails must be explicitly marked on the email setting page.
Unsubscribing will unsubscribe all alternative emails simultaneously because they all belong to the very same account. The person clicking “unsubscribe” is warned about this on the unsubscribe page.
For now we paused the development of this feature. but not for good. :) So I’m changing this wish status back to “collecting comments”.
Thank you everyone for a valuable feedback.
An error occurred while saving the comment Cindy Cooper commentedI'm not sure why this is requested. We put a second email on our profile form and can easily use this email in addition or instead of the primary email.

An error occurred while saving the comment Cindy Cooper commentedWe send emails to most of our membership for events. However we would sometimes like to exclude a group (i.e., Past Presidents) from a mailing. We would like to be able to EXCLUDE a group from a mailing. Currently once a group is included in a mailing, there is no way to remove individuals or groups from it. With over 400 members, it is too time consuming and error prone to add each one individually to a mailing just to exclude 15 people.

An error occurred while saving the comment Cindy Cooper commentedAn Event Manager admin doesn't have access to other info. HOWEVER, we have numerous people managing maybe 1 or just a few events. We don't want to give them Event Manager admin permissions because we have already used our 10 admins for other purposes. We would like them to have the ability to set up and manage just their events.

Oops I have to edit to say there is a manual way, we need the automated, prescheduled way.
