    Current features:
    Each contact/member (company or individual) can only have one email that is used to receive messages.

    Desired features:
    Allow contacts/member to have multiple emails that can be used to receive emails.

    Sorry for the late update.

    The first step was finished and emails can now be carbon copied to contact’s alternative emails. To do so the contact fields which store the alternative emails must be explicitly marked on the email setting page.

    Unsubscribing will unsubscribe all alternative emails simultaneously because they all belong to the very same account. The person clicking “unsubscribe” is warned about this on the unsubscribe page.

    For now we paused the development of this feature. but not for good. :) So I’m changing this wish status back to “collecting comments”.

  2. Listserv i.e. ability to submit forum posts by email

    Current behavior:
    Discussions and collaborations between members can currently only be handled online (within forum or blog pages)

    Desired behavior:
    Listserv functionality where members can mail-in comments and receive email summaries of all comments

    Notes:
    1) The biggest challenge is how to enable this without overloading our servers with email traffic. This can ramp up quickly.
    2) We are starting the work on forum email notifications, this handles this need at least partially.

    We'd like to improve the current workflow of creating and using email templates. In this thread we've collected all the comments we've found about email templates and merged related threads. Feel free to add more ideas.

  4. Allow admin to define multiple sender emails and use them across the system

    We've had a number of similar ideas - allow administrators to setup multiple "from" emails addresses (sender email) and use them in various scenarios like email blasts, event reminders, membership emails, etc. Currently all emails are sent from single FROM email, defined at Settings > Your Account > Organization Details > Email Settings

  5. Inserting Gadgets in eMails like upcoming events or recent blog posts

    Very glad to see the gadget feature just introduced.

    Is it possible to insert the gadgets into emails generated through WA? This would be great for newsletters etc. and would save us the need to use a separate service to read RSS feeds etc. We could then start to consolidate our mailing list into WA as contacts (more $$ for you guys!)

  6. Automatic web archive of email blasts

    Our membership would like the ability to see archived e-blasts sent to "All" members. In our membership model, all members are "equal." I could see this further broken down by Group, e.g., members belonging to Board group could view archive message sent to their group; e-blast sent to "all" members could be view by "all" members, etc. Also, having the ability to show messages sent within a certain time period, e.g., messages sent within the last 6 months (rather than messages archived forever).

  7. Create a full-featured newsletter system

    Email Newsletters are essential for communicating with different user segments within our organization.

    I would request that WA spend some time developing a fully-function newsletter system that has:

    1. Unlimited newsletter/campaigns
    2. Automatically archive of newsletter for viewing by members
    3. Assign newsletter "managers" to specific newsletters
    4. Members can unsubscribe or subscribe using radio-buttons within their profile
    5. Ability to save a "draft"
    6. Ability to manually subscribe members to newsletter (csv or saved search/group)
    7. Track opens/bounces/unsubscribes

  8. Insert Picture Into Text

    With the new email update, I was told by Wild Apricot that you can no longer insert pictures into the text. This is an issue especially, for example, if I want to include a signature block and cannot include the company logo below the name, address, etc. I would have to instead include an additional image gadget and line it up just right with the signature block.

  9. Allow to set specific sending time for automatic event emails

    I would like to have the ability to modify the event notification email reminder time. As currently designed, the notification goes into the queue 30 minutes before meeting time. This doesn't mean it goes out at that time so members are getting the email 9-12 minutes after that, whichi gives a 20 minute notice. The reason we put an event reminder on the day of the event is so people don't forget it and ensure it's part of their daily schedule. This 20 minute notice does not do that especially considering our meetings go out to members across the community…

  10. Be able to followup on email recipients that did not open or click

    My wishlist item:

    The result I want is a segmented recipient list that allows me to, for example, send a follow-up message to those who clicked on a certain link or those who didn't open the email the first time.

    Right now, I can download the saved list from members/contacts then manually mark opens and clicks as I find them in the email log. I can't download the recipient list from the email log including opens & clicks, though. That would make this easier.     Constant Contact just launched AppConnect -- a destination for software providers, and developers who want to integrate or connect an application to Constant Contact. AppConnect gives others access to their web service APIs so they can create tie-ins with their contact and reporting data. Constant Contact gives their service away to many non-profits and chambers of commerce. At present, companies export email lists out of W/A and into Constant Contact. The downside is the extra work involved with moving the data and keeping both data sets up to date; plus the "email history" is being lost from the member's record.…

    We can customize some alert emails, such as activation and renewals, but cannot customize the password reset email.

  13. notify administrator about disabled email delivery

    Current behavior: contacts who experience persistent email delivery problems will eventually have email delivery automatically disabled.

    It would be great if there was a way to automatically notify website administrator when email delivery for certain contact or a member gets disabled because of persistent delivery problems.

  14. Add the ability to cc and bcc people when sending an email

    When I send an email to a select group of members or contacts, I would like to be able to cc or bcc people not in that group, with that shown in the email log. For example, if I'm emailing someone about an issue with his/her member account, I'd like to be able to cc or bcc the membership coordinator for our group.

  15. Ability to Customize Password Reset Email

    We'd like the ability to customize the Password Reset Email that is sent to users to let them know if they reset their password it does not change their password for all of our other systems as the registration site (wild apricot) is not integrated. It is a separate system.

  16. Email Editor Cancel Button, undo changes

    Within the Email Editor, there is no Cancel button. If a serious error is made when drafting an email (particularly one that has already been saved), there is no way to escape and discard the changes and start again. Almost every other editing module on the site has a Cancel option.

  18. Email Calendar

    a calendar that is a visual summary of all scheduled emails that are being generated by events automatically. This is so we can time the sending of other emails manually, as well as social media posts, to give our membership space without sending too many emails/messages on the same day.

  20. Newsletter Template/Great Service

    The newsletter templates are difficult to use as there are always issues with spacing, sizing of photos & type formatting. It would be great if you'd invest in making the newsletter templates easier to use. On a positive note, I was fortunate to talk with Chalini Vallepuram in your Service Dept., and she was incredibly helpful. She's a gem. Thank you for the great service!
