Multiple invoice templates
I search the forum, but I can't find anything regarding my situation...so I am posting it here. If there is a similar post and you can point me towards it, I would be greatful.
I guess my first question would be - can we create more than one invoice template? I have a template set up for new members and existing members who renew. This all works fine as I have the {Payment_Instructions} set up so that they make sense for these types of invoices. The instructions thank them for their membership payment and goes through some other 'membership' specific instructions.
What I am trying to do is invoice also set up an invoice that can be sent to our sponsors and other entities NOT associated with us as members, but more as contacts. So now when I send an invoice the {Payment_Instructions} for members is attached and it does not match what I am really trying to do.
Is there a way to create multiple invoice templates or even multiple {Payment_Instructions} that can be picked based on the type of invoice I want to send?
I hope that makes sense!!

Improving manual event registration to avoid errors
With the introduction of the the new screen for Administrators to add people to their events, many are adding existing members as new contacts. I have had four of five examples of this. The reason I believe is that they do not notice the 'Select existing contact' button and go straight to the blank attendee registration form. We hardly ever add new contacts, so the set up for us is wrong.
My suggestion is that the screen be redesigned to make the Select existing contact more prominent. Ideally, in my opinion, there should be two buttons: the first, labelled Select existing contact' and another labelled 'New contact'

Provide ability to delete manual email blasts from the log
So far I am very impressed with the WildApricot CMS, it's features and usability.
But I feel that the built in Email Log is lacking some features:1) Function to delete individual entries from the log (Administrator only)
2) Function to clear the email log for individual categories (Administrator only)
3) Function to clear the entire email log (Administrator only)An added advantage would be if the administrator could assign privileges to other users for deleting entries/clearing the email log(s)
Also relating to the email log, it would be advantageous if the log entries would display the date/time when an email was opened and a link was clicked.
These simple additions would improve what is already a great system.

Print Calendars in Landscape Mode
Would be very helpful to have the ability to print the calendars in landscape mode one month at a time for handouts (currently it seems to do a random number of weeks based on the current date), and control the fonts.

Filters
I would like to be able to have custom filters for all Filter check boxes. For example, I would like to see only this year's donations, or members who joined last year, etc.
Ideally the filters would all use the same SQL logic/fields, and be available for all or just selected lists (e.g., [Last Name begins with 'G'] would be available for all filters, while [Donation greater than $1,000] would only apply to the Donations section).
I also imagine a grid maintenance view, where all custom filters are listed from top to bottom and the various sections are columns from left to right. Any filter that is not technically possible for any section is shaded out, and the administrator can select and de-select any of the available filters with a check box.

Customizable username for forums
Does anyone know how to change how members show up when they post a comment in the Forum?
Because we have members real names blocked, all members that post show up as "Anonymous Member" in posts.
When members apply for membership, they select a "Profile" Member name.
Is there a way for this discreet "Member / Profile" name to show up in posts instead of having to unblock their real names or only show "Anonymous".
Any help greatly appreciated.

Scholarship Application Management
Our non-profit provides multiple scholarships throughout the year- we take applications from students, early to mid-career professionals, and professionals nominating a mentor.
Currently, we are at a loss on how to best create these. We have been using the events section, but it seems to be confusing the people who need to fill out the application.
It would be nice to have a module dedicated to Scholarship Application Management with the ability to require that someone be at a specific membership level to apply.

Internal Notes box on Event Details Form
Would it be possible to have an internal notes box on the Event Details form? We often want to store information relating to an Event, such as minimum required numbers, target number of participants or internal deadline dates, but we don't want these to appear on the web.
Would this be useful for anyone else?

Enhancements for dealing with lapsed members
I understand that this most recent software update has introduced a change in the way that lapsed members are handled. Let's assume that we have WA set up so that renewal is once per year and occurs on the member's join date. According to the way I understand the online documentation, if a member is lapsed, then if they renew, a new renewal date is assigned, meaning that they don't owe any back dues. However, if a member is active and they are in arrears, they then do owe the back dues. (It's not clear from the documentation how this gets handled -- does the member have to renew, and then renew again? This is how it was handled in the past, and it is very confusing for members -- it seems to me they should be charged the back dues + dues necessary to be a current member all in one shot).
I'm finding it difficult how to make this work for our situation. Here is how we handle things. We give our members a 48 day grace period after their renewal date. If they haven't paid by then, then their records get archived. Periodically, some of those members will come back and say, hey, I want to be a member again. So, then we de-archive them so that they can renew. We want them to pay their back dues. I hesitate to mark them as "Active" because that is one more thing to have to remember to do (and so it might be forgotten) and because it seems inaccurate to mark them as "Active" when really, they are behind in their dues. So, can you help me figure out how to handle our membership pages given this new change in the software?

Email macro for Organization Contact Name
It would be good to be able to specify an "Organization Contact Name" under Settings->Organization details. The "Organization Contact Name" could then be a macro that could be incorporated into emails to members, so that we could say something like: "If you have any questions, please contact {Organization Contact Name} at {Organization Contact Email}." It is nice to be able to let people know who they will be contacting -- it's not so nice just to give them an email address to contact without a name. Of course, we can write a person's name into each email without a macro, and that's what we're doing now. But that defeats the whole idea of using macros, and means that we have to change the emails every time there is a change in the person who should be contacted.

Access Guest information in macros
We register members and guests for our events. We need to get to all of the guest information easily online in WA without having to export it for manipulation.
How come there is no macro for [EventField_All} for guest registrations? Right now all we can do is get to guest price, name, and price.
We need to send our members confirmations of their event registrations that include a lot of detailed information. The members need all of this information for the guests, too.

Consolidated event announcements
We run 3-5 events per week, so using the scheduled event email blasts are not an option as we would be bombarding people with emails all the time.
What would be great if we could consolidate all of the events in a single email and send that as a newsletter. I imagine it being something like the events list that could be inserted into the email like a widget or gadget.
Is there a way to do something like this currently?
Thanks Kerrie-Anne

Update Event fields via file Import
Hi
It would be great to store user feedback linked to the user and event.
I've created a custom event field called Feedback. Now it would be great if I could import the feedback collected via Wufoo via file import.
This would mean I could export the data from Wufoo, and import here, instead of having to enter each entry manually.
Many thanks!

Report for Updates
When emails are returned as undeliverable and the changes are made a daily report of updates made by administrators so the email could be resent would be helpful.

Change setup of recurring payment for membership levels - Allow member to choose if he wants to pay recurring or not
For membership fees, recurrent credit card billing (ie., auto-renewal) doesn't work the way it does in every other subscription management system. Instead of having two payment options on the membership form (or in my case, since I have five membership levels, TEN payment options), the member should select a level and then be provided an option at the next step (like the manual payment versus online election) that allows the person to select recurrent auto billing. The way you have it set up, its basically unusable (IMHO)

Manual donations or pledges
A big selling point for my board in adopting WA is that I promised them that we could accommodate all kinds of payments for new and renewing members. I have found two areas where WA does not currently do what I expected:
- for donations, there is not manual payment option, only online. My most financially capable donors are older and really, really like getting an invoice and mailing in a check On the whole, I love WA! These, and a few other little feature/functions are the only issues I've got. And, user support has been fantastic. I'm in the e-commerce business (when I'm not being the volunteer web meister for my neighborhood association) and I know how hard it is to build and support a product of this complexity. Overall, much applause for you!

Block Comments entirely/hide "add comment"
As I stated in the wishlist thread for Job Modules, I had originally hoped to use the blogs module to manage our jobs postings, since they're relatively infrequent, and since it has an RSS feed, but at the time it didn't look like the "Add Comment" could be shut off, and we definitely don't want comments with job posts.
I went back and revisited this, and when I switch all the possible visitor types to 'Read', the 'Add Comment' is still visible to the public. I can log in as a member, type out a comment, and click the button to add it, and only get blocked at that point.
I get the generic message:
This makes sense in the logic of how the blog module is set up, but for my purposes doesn't work. "Add comment" being visible always invites comments. It seems better to me to have its visibility determined by user type and if it's allowed to comment.

Mandatory email in Bundle Memberships
When a person is added to a bundle membership, I want to make it mandatory that there be an email address.
Without the email address, I see no way for that person to be able to logon.
I understand that it used to be mandatory and that the decision was made to change that.
If nothing else, the end user/site admin should have the option to make it mandatory.

Add and manage xml sitemap for SEO
Bing, Yahoo! and Google all recommend a site map be submitted to their crawl services in order that URLs on a website are brought into their crawlers' awareness. Otherwise the bots generally rely on quantity of cross linking from other sites and for many of our members this is very hit or miss — resulting in many member page never making into SERPs.
We would greatly appreciate some mechanism for adding and managing XML site maps for all, or better yet, specific pages of a WA member site.

TO ADD A SITEMAP.XML to a WA SITE:
Create a new folder under file mangement called sitemap.
Then upload your site map to this folder.
Sumbit your site map to Google, it will look something like this yoursite.com/resources/sitemap/sitemap.xmlA good place for free google sitemaps is:
xml-sitemaps.com
