Email macro for Organization Contact Name
It would be good to be able to specify an "Organization Contact Name" under Settings->Organization details. The "Organization Contact Name" could then be a macro that could be incorporated into emails to members, so that we could say something like: "If you have any questions, please contact {Organization Contact Name} at {Organization Contact Email}." It is nice to be able to let people know who they will be contacting -- it's not so nice just to give them an email address to contact without a name. Of course, we can write a person's name into each email without a macro, and that's what we're doing now. But that defeats the whole idea of using macros, and means that we have to change the emails every time there is a change in the person who should be contacted.

Please allow custom Organization macros. We have a Membership Director, and we like to put their name at the bottom of the Membership emails. Since we have over a dozen membership levels, that is a whole bunch of email templates that must be manually modified every time the person in that board seat changes. I'd like a way to create custom macros at the Org level, one for each Board Member's name, that can be inserted into emails.

When this feature is added, it would be nice if several custom macros could be allowed. We have six membership levels, but offer one-, two-, and three-year memberships. That means that effectively we have 18 membership levels. Maintaining the renewal emails is tedious whenever anything changes, such as a change in officers/directors or new accomplishments or plans for the new year (that we mention in the email reminders). If we could put each of these into a (boilerplate) macro, it would greatly ease maintenance of the renewal reminders. Just so you understand, I am asking that a few of these custom macros be extended text fields.

This is a good point. I've added it to our queue but unfortunately it's clear that this is not something we are going to have in 2011
