Consolidated event announcements
We run 3-5 events per week, so using the scheduled event email blasts are not an option as we would be bombarding people with emails all the time.
What would be great if we could consolidate all of the events in a single email and send that as a newsletter. I imagine it being something like the events list that could be inserted into the email like a widget or gadget.
Is there a way to do something like this currently?
Thanks Kerrie-Anne

We too would like to see a widget to add to our weekly email that is the same as the upcoming events widget in web design. Right now I have to copy and paste them individually into each weeks email.

Our association would take advantage of this as well. It would work much like upcoming events (gadget) in a Newsletter. Meaning, I would want to pick the event tags included in the email and the number of upcoming events with those event tags to include in the email. I would be able to select the event macros to format the newsletter. In another thread I suggested an "Event Promo text", which is a shorter version of the event details that would be more appropriate for newsletter publication.

This is a great idea.
Also if there could be a mechanism by which events are linked so that a discount can be applied if individuals register for both events as an incentive this would be even better. -

I have 2 events happening 1 week apart, and I want to encourage registration to both events from our membership. Currently the most convenient way to encourage registration is via the announcement email Registration Buttons. However, I would like to have ONE announcement email for BOTH events that would have Registration Buttons for each event. This way, I could send the announcement email once for both instead of two separate emails (spamming members).

I agree that having a "Digest" version of upcoming events would be great.

Automatic assembly of an email promoting selected coming events. Each event would include either the "Details" description used on its web page, or a separately entered (probably shorter) version that was entered when the web page was set up. Ideally, the email would have an additional option for automatically choosing content: Up to four events (not necessarily all the sooners) featured at the top of the email, with descriptions, and other events listed below, more as "line items" (not necessarily any photo or long description, just the title, date, link, etc.)
If there can be an optional third section for custom content (e.g., manually entered photos from recent events, or general news or announcement text), that would be nice, too.
It should be possible to create the custom parts of each "omnibus" email ahead of time, so that it will be assembled and sent by the WA system as scheduled. -

Our organization typically has multiple events on 4-5 days per week. Combine that with up to 3 announcements per event and we are creating an email blizzard. The solution Kerrie-Anne suggested would be a huge improvement.
Another approach might be to give members a choice in their email preferences to choose whether or not to consolidate and at what frequency (daily vs weekly). Consolidated announcements would be sent automatically.

We are looking for the exact same functionality as Kerrie-Anne suggested. We're currently using a trial version of WA but would love to find this feature get added.

This is exactly what we need.
We're a non profit, enterprise level paid subscriber to Wild Apricot, and we love it but the need to manually create newsletters listing our events is our biggest challenge due to the template restrictions.
The perfect solution would be an ability to generate a newsletter by selecting upcoming events, responsive for mobile as well. It could just take the first paragraph of text and the picture and that would be fine. -

Hi Kerrie-Anne,
Sorry, what you have described is not currently possible in Wild Apricot.
Sounds like a good idea though for people who run many events, I will split this off into a separate thread.

Sorry, just realised that this is probably in the wrong thread as it relates to consolidating event list instead of the automated event email notifications - saw the bit about consolidation from the first poster and was the closest I could find to what I am asking!
Still keen to know if this is possible in the current system tho!
Cheers
