  1. Preview website and forms as they look for visitors or members

I'd love to see is a preview that shows the page without outlines, and other components from the editor so I can see the page as a user would (Think the "Preview page" option in Word Press). Sometimes we notice little things about spacing, positioning, etc. that are easier to see in a full layout and not as much when there are borders and artifacts.

I have merged several similar suggestion together – they all about previewing various site functions from members perspective. For example, wen pages, registration and application forms, etc.

  2. Ability to manually enter author name on blog posts

It would be nice to be able to indicate an author of a post who might be different from the person entering it. Our blog is moderated by one person, but many contribute content. It would look much better and give credit where it is due if the post carried the actual author's name.

  3. Refunds from Wild Apricot

It would be great if I could actually submit a refund through the Wild Apricot system, instead having to post the refund to the member's profile and then going to the gateway to actually process the request.

  4. Allow for end of month renewal deadlines instead of just the 1st and 15th of each month

    Hello,

Our membership renewal deadline is September 30. It would be great if there was more choice in picking the renewal deadlines in Wild Apricot instead of just the 1st and 15th of each month.

    Thank you!

  5. Customize forum notification emails

I'm going to have a hard time getting people to subscribe to our neighborhood association forum vs the "next door" forum that has been building over the last year here. I'm attaching visuals for reference.

The wild apricot email summary is visually uninviting and instead of asking people to engage by hitting "reply" it offers them a chance to "unsubscribe" first.

It doesn't include a picture so it's not as personal as it could be and I don't see an option for people to sign up to receive every message in a forum as opposed to a daily summary should…

  6. If then Event Regisration form

We would like to have the ability for the form to recognize that if a registrant selects a certain workshop session then it automatically eliminates other sessions that may be scheduled at the same time.

For example, Selecting a two hour session from 10:30 - 12:30, grays out the two one hour mini-sessions scheduled during the same time frame and vice-a-versa.

  7. Allow parent-child relationship and ordering for Non-Menu Pages

My Wildapricot Membership Backend is getting MESSY! I am not able to organize "Non-Menu" items to have "children"

Is there something in the works where I can create a page and then create SUBPAGES that are Not Menu Items?

When I click on Reorder my Pages, it only allows this functionality for Menu Items.

    Thank You

  8. "Link/URL" transforming membership field

When we use normal text fields and members want to post a lengthy URL (for example to a Facebook Page that includes browser parameters in the string) it totally destroys the page layout since the long URL will not be "word wrapped" into multiple lines but remain one single liner that extends the layers divs.

Solution: Have a NEW membership/contact field type named "Link field" where a member just be able to fill in legit URLs and the field encloses the URL in a link tag where you can either then have it displayed as "Link" in the member profile…

  9. List of Past Events on a Calendar

I would like to see an option to limit the number of items listed in "Past Events" at the bottom of a Calendar page. Because of the number of our events, the list gets too long - yet the historical information is useful to our membership. Perhaps limit by number, by month, or by year. At the very least, by actual number.

  10. Card Readers

One of the key missing features for Wil Apricot is the ability to integrate it to a entry system for clubs and venues.

You should have the ability to let your members have cards (RFID or BTLE) and a scanning-system to validate that they are current members. Ideally scanning there card would grant them access to a physical space.

    For example http://www.gymmastersoftware.com/gym-access-control/

  11. sort membership levels on membership level change form

We can now manually sort membership levels on the new member application form so we no longer have to use numbers to get the various levels in the desired order. However, if a member wants to change membership level, the levels on that form are not manually sortable. If you want the levels to be listed in the same (logical) order on the change-membership-level form as on the new member application, you still have to resort to the old number system, which pretty much negates the value of the spiffy new manual level sort "feature".

    Please make the level ordering…

  12. Control access level for specific gadget on a page - e.g. show some gadgets to specific membership levels only

Improving the process of restricting/allowing access to 1 screen.

Currently it is a complex process that often results in unanticipated results . . . or inability to properly configure that ultimately requires technical support. The process is not intuitive.

It is not easy to manage access to a gadget by membership level and/or group when a gadget is on a page that may or may not be restricted by membership level and/or group.

Allow setting permissions and access by membership levels and/or groups for pages, and for certain gadgets on one page. And make the selections obvious and intuitive so…

  13. Allow Members to post comments pre/post events

    Current Behavior:

Members can not post feedback about the event at any given point in time. Prior to the event members can see the event description, attendance list, event details (date time etc), but they are not allowed to provide any comments

    Proposed Enhancement:

Have club members post comments about upcoming and past events? I would like them to be able to post comments even prior registering for the event. For a sample implementation of this feature - see groupspaces.com

    Motivation for the Enhancement::

Our club is a very social organization and members often like to submit general comments for…

We are going to include it into our next year plan.

  14. Ability to Sort Membership Level in Admin View - when adding new members

I saw a request about this in the thread in general questions but would like to make a formal request - When adding a new member manually, i.e. in admin view, to allow the list of options for Membership Level to be sorted so that the first one in the list is our preferred choice for new members. When we set up the Membership Levels we weren't aware of a problem we'd have when we added new members manually. Our primary Membership Level, which is the only level available to new members, is Regular. It happens to be 5th out…

  15. All common fields checkbox - turn off all common fields

I have many common fields. If I want just a few of them on a registration form for an event, I have to turn them all off individually. I'd like to see the All common fields checkbox turn off all the common fields, or turn them on, respectively. Currently, turning off this checkbox only gives me the ABILITY to turn off common fields in my registration form. What is the point of that?

  16. Ability To Require Completion of Common Fields on Events

While it is nice to be able to choose which common fields to include on the registration form for each event, there are some events where these fields may need to be required also. Currently the required setting is for the contact fields which makes it system wide. The system should be enhanced to allow override of required setting on event by event basis.

  17. Email a Friend gadget

I've added external code so that people can recommend our website. Our own members are the best promoters to new people and people are more responsive to people suggestions than any other marketing technique.

It works OK, but a better one could be built. The idea is to have a button on the page that says something like recommend to a friend. That would prompt a pop-up with a place to enter and friends email (or perhaps more than one), and a captcha code entry. From then it would generate a form filled out with the emails listed, the users…

  18. Show event on calendar until end of day

We don’t register for most events – yes the people who post the events want them to remain on line for some period after the start. One person wanted them to remain for about 2 hours in case an event was cancelled so they could note that that occurred – editing them after they are disabled didn’t seem possible. Why I am not sure but that was the ride leader consensus.

We have to account for events for insurance purposes. Also keeping them on line for at least some time after the initial start allowed people who were late to…

  20. Blog Features

It would be VERY helpful to our members if we had a search feature for the blog posts! Additionally, the ability to schedule posts would be nice for the post author.

Also, I've read from earlier threads that Google Feedburner could be utilized by members to subscribe to posts via email. Is that still operational?

    Thank you!
