Card Readers
One of the key missing features for Wil Apricot is the ability to integrate it to a entry system for clubs and venues.
You should have the ability to let your members have cards (RFID or BTLE) and a scanning-system to validate that they are current members. Ideally scanning there card would grant them access to a physical space.
For example http://www.gymmastersoftware.com/gym-access-control/

This would be a huge plus for our application. Sales pitches from other membership management programs often point out this lack of support.

I want to also place a request for some kind of ID card/tag scanning system that integrates into the wild apricot for rapidly checking in members that come through our front door.
If there are other solutions that utilize the API, I'd be interested to know which systems work and how to implement.

We are a not-for-profit private neighborhood swimming pool. We would like to scan a membership card at the gate to verify membership and track daily attendance.

Well, I do not think we will be able to connect in the nearest future - there can be plenty of different card reader system on market, each one with its own connection interface, requiring different programming (similar to payment processors). Until it's widely requested and we are able to figure our key market players in this area, chances are slim that we will have any progress here.
Instead, I would suggest using our API to connect WA and any other system together (assuming it supports API access).
