Go back to basics - look at the core member functions like the directory
We moved to WildApricot because it sounded like the best ever membership software for the web. Yes it's member management is great, love the app and it's easy to use. BUT is it loosing sight of it's core purpose in favour of glory features? The wishlist is full of ideas for online shops, blogs etc and events seems to have been a major piece of work last year. Yet when you look at the core member functions like the directory this is failing to deliver in layout flexibility and search engine visibility.
Surely as the premier membership software it should…

A/B testing of email newsletters
WildApricot emails do have an open & link tracking system in emails to contacts.. however, after you've spent the time and detail to get your email to members just right, ENSURE YOUR CAMPAIGN GETS THE BEST POSSIBLE RESPONSE by involving at least some measure of testing.
An A/B email testing will ensure your emails perform better!
This works by sending 2 emails (aka "A" and "B") to test the highest open rate, engagement, etc. After automatically testing to 10%, the winning email with greatest success is sent to all members!

Email event reminders relative to the END date of an event
Schedule emailed event reminders relative to the END date of an event.
For our art exhibits, we need members to drop their art off for the first day of a show, and pick up their art on the last day of the show. This translates to reminders as the start approaches, and as the event ends -- we currently would have to create 2 separate events.

Provide an event registration flow chart.
I would like a registration process flow chart of all the links within an event registration. Some registration links/buttons are straightforward, simple, and require few clicks before completing the registration and/or payment. Others are very convoluted, as you have to go back and forth clicking on the various links to see where they lead. As the admin, I have to try every option and link to test the process. I would also like to have the chart to give to registrants if needed. Can something like this be set up to be created by the system?

Donation Acknowledgement Internal Field
Hi! I would like to add a field to my database so that I can track whether or not our organization has sent a Thank You Note to a donor for their donation. This is NOT the same note as the system-generated confirmation of their online donation, this is a personal note written by our Executive Director. Is there a place that I can add a internally viewed field (that would NOT be seen by the donor on his/her profile when they logged in) that is attached to the donor’s individual donation? My ultimate goal is to be able to…

More flexible report formatting and search options
Each month I want to know who's overdue for the previous two months, who is due this month and who will be due next month. I can get it - but it takes more effort than it should, I think.

Seperate Data and Time in Data Exports
Add a separate database column for time. Date and time combined is a pain to sort in excel.
Also allow for member levels and created on date to event registration reports to help for priority seating lists.

Show the "Changes History" button to any admin on pages where they have update rights
Our club runs 7 related programs and as webmaster I've given restricted access to all 7 program directors to manage content on their own program pages. But the Changes History button is not visible to any of them. Apparently that very helpful feature is only available to Account Administrator with full access. It would really great if they could restore old versions of their pages when they mess something up, but currently they have to call me and ask me to do it.

Hide Member fields based on Member Level
It would be great to allow only certain Member Levels to see certain fields. For example I would like to block free members from seeing other members Email and Phone. I would also like to allow Recruiter Members to see a secret field called "Looking for Work" but no other member should be able to see it.

Optimized the site for visually impaired people.
We have three members of our club that are visually impaired.
They are claiming that the captura tool that is being used is not compliant with their screen reader software.I'm not sure how that works and what the technology behind visually impaired screen assistance reader.

Better integration of event registration process when embedded into an external site
We would love for Wild Apricot to provide a seamless transition and a more optimal user exerpience. We tried to integrate our website with wild aprioct so we created a wild apricot event link on our personal website. When the user clicks on it they are expecting to register for the event. What is happening is that they register and provide their personal information (member application form for first time users who are registering) and after that it doesn't continue on to register the person for the event. It confirms the profile data and stays on that screen. A more…
