Ability to change all Pages / System Page Templates at once/in bulk
Hello - this is in regards to Version 5.
It would be nice to be able to change the page template all system pages at once, or be given the option to update all system pages when a new default page template is selected. Currently we have to edit each system page to update it to the new default template.
18 votesWe are considering two scenarios here: applying existing template for several pages and save changes in template for selected pages (new template will be created).
Please post your feedback and comments according these cases. -
Default registration form for events
In the same way that there are default announcement and reminder emails for events, it would be great to have the same for registration form. We have 12 to 14 very similar events during the summer and currently I am having to add additional fields to each event. In Version 5 with the ability to select contact fields, which is a great move, I will have to select the contact fields as well.

add a visitors counter to our website
From time to time we receive questions at our support like "I want to add a visitors counter to our website. Telling a user: "Your are visitor number: #".
From design point of view and the current state of web development, visitors counters (or hit counters) are mostly considered as outdated, not used any more. But it still might be important for you and so I decided to create a wishlist thread to collect your opinions on that.
Please, share your thoughts!

Variable pricing for additional (i.e. "guest") registrations
I would like to reiterate a request I have seen in various forms in other posts.
There needs to be the option of selecting different prices for "guest" registrations. At most of our events the person registering online brings a guest. Sometimes this guest is also a member of our organization (at which point they should be allowed to choose the "member" rate) and sometimes they are not (so they should be able to choose the "guest" fee.)
We have just moved from using Constant Contact's "Event Spot" as our event registration software and find WA lacking in this area. Through Constant Contact you could choose varying levels of guest registration. I think it is a great model for you guys to look at.
Loving everything else, but this is a BIG problem.
Thanks so much!
Monica

Webinars via Wild Apricot
Hello,
I am Ryan Woroniecki and work on the board of APRA-MD. We host educational webinars for our members on a regular basis as well as bag meetings on site. It would be ideal to use WildApricot to integrate a webinar service such as GoTo Meeting, JoinMe, MeetNow, etc...
Has anyone else ever requested this?
Thanks!

Tracking On for Manual E-mails
Presently tracking is off by default for non system e-mails and can only be turned on in an e-mail by e-mail basis. Would much prefer the option to have tracking on always for non system emails

Tracking attendance using card swipe system
We are considering using WA to support our group, however we really need to account for attendance using a card swipe system. I am disappointed that this functionality is not currently available, and worse yet, does not even seem to be on the priority list. Seems pretty simple.

Check if a registrant is still a member by event start date - and if no, do not allow member price
when an event is created have the option to get member pricing based on:
a) Member status on date of registration for event
b) member status on date of event
or c) Both: member must be member at date of registration AND member on event date.
Currently only option "A" above is used, so if a member is a member in January, and registers for an even that is scheduled in May, and membership lapses in February, they still get member pricing because they are member on day of registration, and date of event is not used.

Make saved searches visible to members at member directory page
We would like to have a number of "canned" common searches available at the top of Member Directory. The Admin creates and saves a search then makes this available to others. Access should be selectable to "All members", and to each of different Admin levels.
We have members who are likely to do the same search and the only option is to give them instructions and for them to create the advanced search each time. Equally Admins are likely to be doing a search for features that they are responsible for eg renewals, this is easier because they can save searches but they can't share them with other Admins.

Event organiser macro
It would be good to have a macro for event organiser. The event organiser is already identified for "reply to", and we would like to put a more personal sign off name at the bottom. A choice between <Event organiser full name> and <Event organiser first name> would be ideal.

Location field for Events should have each piece of address on its own line
Please add two more field lines for event location!
Now, if we have a building, street, and city/state/zip--it is all in a run-on sentence!
Location should have each piece of information on its own line so attendees can easily and clearly read the location.
field line for building name
filed line for street
field line for cross street, or additional street info
field line for city/state/zipor else, give me ability to force a hard return in the location field so location lines can be separate.
thank you!

Set different privacy settings for bundle admins & individuals
I would like to hide the profiles of all non-admin bundle members. It would be great to be able to to have a different set of member privacy settings for bundle admins than for bundle members.
It would also be nice to be able to do this as a batch process (i.e. deselect "Show profile to others") either through exporting/re-importing the info or through the interface.

PayPal Standard limitations on WA
PayPal now offers many new options on it's site. For example, a basic subscription can have a duration (12 months for example). For an extra fee they also offer Installment payments and automatic billing (which is quite different than subscriptions) which would be great for our sponsorships which have a high dollar value. But WA hasn't changed it's software to reflect these new options and allow us to utilize them.
Can these options, in full or part, be added through the code? I know PayPal has the ability to add them through API but I can't tell how to make it work with WA. (and don't simply tell me to add a separate paypal button which would add a ton of work for us!)
Having these features would solve SO many problems we have with payment plans as what we are offered now is not adequate for us or our customers.

Add social sharing options into email announcements and other emails
WA should consider incorporating into the platform the ability to distribute social-media updates simultaneously with email 'newsletters' and other blasted communications. I envision the user programming into their social-media account information, and from the email-newsletter/communique-creation phase one would have the ability to add whichever social-media outlets they choose. From there, you would either send out the subject of the email and a link to the newsletter/communique as a default or it could be edited to fine-tune the blast to the different social-media outlets. Email newsletters/communiques could also have the ability to be 'Like'd or tweeted by readers, which would post to their wall or send a message referencing the subject line and linking to the newsletter/communique. Please reference Constant Contact's 'Simple Share' feature here http://search.constantcontact.com/services/index.jsp ...
I~ am hoping that is will be a new feature your developers can produce and find it would add more value to your service as it is extemely popular with Constant Contact. It saves time on my end in haveing to make seperate announcements using different plateforms to reach our potential members.

Importing: skip existing contacts
Would be very nice to have an option to ignore existing contacts when importing, rather than allowing records to be updated. So that only unrecognised end up being created as new contacts. This is important when importing from lists where the quality of personal information data might not be as good as what already pre-exists in the database. (Esp for people who are members).

Album changes to support photo contest
Our association runs an annual photo contest. The Album feature in Wild Apricot goes part way to helping us with it, but needs the following enhancements to reduce the external administration we must do today: Allow custom fields when uploading images and store info with image Submitter's Name (text) Email (text) Phone (text) Caption (text) Comment (text) Contest Category (radio buttons) Nature Life on Kahshe etc Agreement to rules and regulations (which would be on a previous page) Yes/No (radio buttons) Admin Flag each photo uploaded by a non-admin so it doesn't show until admin authorizes it Ability to show/hide custom fields when displaying gallery Want to hide submitter's ID info before judging takes place but show it after Other Store images under a pseudo file name to cover for situation where two users upload images with the same name (e.g. DSCN1000.jpg). Need to also keep original file name. Ability to limit the size of an image being uploaded (e.g. to 3 MB)
There are photo contest administration websites available, but the cost is prohibitive for small organizations like ours. This capability would be a great value add to Wild Apricot.

Designate an attendee as a non-member if they are registered under a member attending
To have a field that designates an attendee as a non-member if they are registered under a member attending. The way it is now, non-members who sign up for an event under a member are listed as "members" and this is not correct.

Meta tags for blog posts (specifically open graph for Facebook)
I manage the articles of my magazine under the functional blog page. Individual blogs are not editable under page management. I want to insert meta tags for each individual post, specifically Open Graph tags so that my articles can be shared with the correct title and description and not the overall title and description of the functional page. Any meta tags or OG tags I insert in the html of the blogs become erased when I save the html code after the system "cleans up html coding". Has any one else had this problem or would know of any way to accomplish what I am looking to do?!
Thanks,
-Ryan

Blog Post Triggers Email Blast
It would be efficient to have the option when a blog post is created to automatically email the content of the blog post to the email group that has subscribed to blog updates. Currently, an email has to be manually generated. Thanks.
