Allow us to have as many of member renewal notifications as we want - not a fixed number of before, on and after emails
Because our members don't have access to funds until the renewal date, the pre-reminder emails are not especially useful. However, we would benefit greatly from having additional post-renewal date reminders. We need least two more post-renewal date reminders for a total of four.

Allow me to sort a members event registrations by event name or type when in "admin view"
When a member has multiple events in their accounts, as the admin I cannot sort the list of event registrations in any way. Should be able to perform a simple sort by function (either date registered, event name or event type should do).
6 votesFrank respondedWe do have a similar request (http://forums.wildapricot.com/forums/308932-wishlist/suggestions/8826139-sort-admin-event-list-17082) which is when we may address this requests also, but it’s possible that this could be addressed seperately so I’ll keep this issue by itself for now.

Recurring events: separate registrations for each occurrence (e.g. monthly board meetings)
Original recurring events request was to complex for us to resolve in a single release, so we decided to focus it on a simple scenario where event can have multiple sessions, but event registration is one and for all - like courses. See http://forums.wildapricot.com/forums/308932-wishlist/suggestions/8825581-recurring-events-scenario-1-event-with-multiple for more details on this one.
Another important scenario is when event is actually a recurring series of events, but each occurrence of an event may have a separate registration and updated description of event. Example - monthly board meetings. Event is created in the beginning of year with a monthly recurring schedule, but each occurrence can be updated as soon as time comes close to this particular event.

option to "not renew"
This might seem obvious, but is there a way for a member to choose to not renew their membership, archive themselves and thus stop the renewal reminder emails?
Each year about a third of our organization ages out but we don't know in advance who they are so we can't proactively archive them on the admin side. They get annoyed when the first renewal reminder emails start showing up, and their first reaction is to bombard the membership chairperson with requests to be removed from the email list. It's a pain.
It this isn't possible, do you have a suggested workaround that doesn't require the membership chair to do anything explicit?
Thanks,
~ Kim

Blog Enhancements
Blogs can be a versatile tool for posting news and announcements. A number of features have been suggested to enhance this but they are scattered around the Wishlist. Perhaps they should be consolidated?
- The one I would like is the ability for the Recent Blog Posts gadget to include the full blog post for the first few. So in addition to the "Show last 5 posts" setting there would be "Show full text of last 2 posts." This would show the last 2 posts in full, and the next 3 in summary. That way we could present substantial information in the limited space on our home page, plus a link to the full blog.
Other desirable features:
- Enter a beginning and ending date for a post. It would appear on the beginning date, and go away on the ending date.
This was mentioned in http://forums.wildapricot.com/forums/308932-wishlist/suggestions/8826262-way-to-automatically-remove-or-hide-blog-post-as and also http://forums.wildapricot.com/forums/308932-wishlist/suggestions/8827858-blog-features .
Control whether posts are displayed oldest first or newest first. This makes more sense if suggestion #2 is provided. http://forums.wildapricot.com/forums/308932-wishlist/suggestions/8826943-reverse-order-of-blog-posts
Control whether the poster's name and/or date are displayed, in both the blog and recent blog posts gadgets. I mentioned this in the above thread.
Allow the poster to specify where in the text the "Read more" link appears. At the least, let the teaser size be specified as in http://forums.wildapricot.com/forums/308932-wishlist/suggestions/8825692-allow-to-customize-blog-post-summary-teaser-size . But sometimes you only need one line; sometimes you need ten, so it's better for the author to be able to insert the break, subject to a settable line limit.

Add Flickr to Social Media Gadget
Add a URL field for the photo sharing platform Flickr.
Or, include one to two additional free-form URL fields in the Social Media Gadget with the ability to upload the graphic for the additional link.

Allow admin to define multiple sender emails and use them across the system
We've had a number of similar ideas - allow administrators to setup multiple "from" emails addresses (sender email) and use them in various scenarios like email blasts, event reminders, membership emails, etc. Currently all emails are sent from single FROM email, defined at Settings > Your Account > Organization Details > Email Settings
I merged all posts together so we can address them together properly. Quotes from some of original posts and comments:
"To avoid all site-related emails coming from a common sender, and risking email fatigue for our members, it would be terrific if one-off and system emails had a feature to customize the "From" email field to be someone's personal address, or even just a different alias. This would allow emails for specific purposes (e.g., particular forums or events) to come from an appropriate contact rather than our entire organization, which is less likely to be read."
"We would like to have an additional "From email for events", so that events would come from that address instead of the "From email" used everywhere."
"We would like to create additional emails associated with the *******.org domain through WA, so that our organization's officers have org-specific addresses they can send emails to other members from. Thank you!"
"We have various committees (governance, event planning, membership, public relations, and financial), each of which has its own email address. The committee chair and secretary sometimes each have their own email address. We would greatly appreciate having membership-related messages (membership application, invoices, confirmation messages) go to the membership committee email address, and event-related messages (registration, payment) go to the event planning committee address."

Overhaul WA HTML e-Mail to send out REAL HTML standard
A while ago I realized why my RESPONSIVE HTML e-Mails weren't responsive: I found out that the Wild Apricot eMail System does not send out WW3 confirm HTML eMails, as it "cleans" all HTML code from the templates that are not inside the <body> tag while sending it out.
This is a real problem because eMail clients like Apple Mail and others totally depend on the correct DOC Type and <meta> tag structure and content to correctly display HTML and give the viewing device the chance to arrange the layout according to the designer's CSS code. Without the complete HTML structure ---> no correct layout.
It might be that this wasn't recognized by anybody because standard templates look "as if" they are "ok" but when it comes to fully responsive eMail design the Wild Apricot standards do cut off that functionality.
I want to give my customers full viewing pleasure on any mobile device, so I want WA to adapt to current web standards and provide full HTML structured eMails instead of their preproriary eMailer code…
This is what it has to look like (just as an reminder…)
<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd">

Create the option of indicating the distribution list in an email blast
It would be handy to have the option to indicate on an email blast who the email was sent to in total. eg if the email was sent to all Committee Members. At the moment, members receive an email without know who else is on the distribution list for that particular email.

Integrate Email System with Social Media so announcements automatically post to Facebook & Twitter
It would be wonderful to have your email system offer the feature to automatically post email announcements to Facebook and Twitter. We recently switched from a free Mailchimp account to Wild Apricot and miss many of the features that Mailchimp's email system offered over WA. Basic integration with social media is a key feature needed in today's world. Please add an automated workflow between email and social media. Thanks!

Provide secure FTP to Resources folder, WebDav is too slow and unreliable
File upload via the main files 'widget' is slow and cumbersome, and WebDav uploads are very slow, and often unreliable. Secure FTP should be straightforward to implement, and would make life much simpler when managing large numbers of files.

Treat Membership Application Consistently for Public, Member and Bundlee
Our membership application page displays information about membership. It would be useful for members to be able to view the information on the page, and to be able to show it to someone else without logging out.
But logged-in maxed out bundle administrators can't view any of the content on a page containing the Membership Application gadget. All they see is a message about the bundle being full.
If a bundle member views the page, at least they can see the content and they get a coherent error message "You are already a member." But there is useful information in the Membership Application Gadget that they can't see.
The Member Application Gadget should just be grayed out for a logged-in member. Add a message "You are already a member" if you like. The bundle admin can use their profile to add members.
But there shouldn't be a page that looks four different ways for the public, a bundle member, and a bundle admin depending on whether or not they're maxed.

Generalize Macros to All Text and Allow Custom Macros
Suggestions have been made to use macros in email blasts and text of site pages, and to allow the admin to create macros.*
I sugest that macros be generalized and any system macro allowed in any of these contexts, and anywhere else an admin enters text, such as event details ...
And allow the admin to create arbitrary macros that apply system-wide.
(And a macro for Event_Organizer would be handy so the event details could automatically tell people who to email for info and registration changes.)

Improve Terminology for "Remember Me"
In the login gadget, "Remember me" confused my membership committee when I gave them an orientation today. They conflated it with the browser message "Remember my password?"
People are more accustomed to "Keep me logged in" (Facebook),"Stay signed in" (eBay), or "Keep me signed in" (Yahoo).
Could you please use one of these more accurate terms instead?

Customizing the Design of the WordPress Integration Login Page
After discussion with the WA team, it appears that for websites powered by WordPress, there is currently no way to customize the single sign-on screen once a user chooses to log in via the Wild Apricot plugin functionality. The page as it is now is devoid of almost any styling (screenshot from the WA video example attached), and particularly in the case of websites with a prominent design, in my opinion this takes away from the user experience, making the login process a lot less "seamless" than it otherwise could be (if the option to customize the page look and feel with CSS, etc. were available). Hopefully this option will be available soon.

Members to use marketing tools on their profile page - web stats, custom URL, etc.
Our premium level members are looking for a better set of tools, essentially to use their profile pages as a marketing tool, to make membership more value-added. For example, they are used to higher end features available from http://psychologytoday.com . Obviously, this is not as high end a system, but for a wish list, and to make paid membership a value, these desired features are very relevant.
Member requests:
--custom URL's allowing us to list the member name in the url--or some automated option to do so, without having to manually create a redirecting page for everyone.
--SEO
--web stats: the ability for members to view, in their own profiles, some basic web statistics and analytics of views on their profile page.

Restricted Pages - Show as grayed out
It would be nice if a restricted page showed as grayed out so when people aren't logged in, they can see what pages they cannot get to until they log in. See wafla.org. Right now we have a member's only section that can only be seen when the member logs in. It would be good to show people that aren't members yet or our current members that can't find the tab because they aren't logged in.
