FORUM - include full posting text in email digest
Because the daily forum summary only includes topics and links, users are not willing to switch from Yahoo groups. We'd rather not maintain both systems, obviously. People want to read the post on their mobile device email instead of having to logon to see them.
We need to be able to specify if our daily digest will include just the topics and links, or contain the full text of the new postings. Would be nice if users could switch their individual setting from the site default if they don't want full text, for example.
Our forum activity isn't very high, so I don't think this would put extra load on the mail servers and would substantially increase the value of the forums to us.

Copying events: changing event dates relative to new start date
When copying an existing event to create a new one, it would be even better if the process would be able to change all the dates related to the event relative to the new event date.
Currently, you have to go in and change all the Registration type open or closing dates which can easily be overlooked when copying an event. It would be great if the system could maintain the same dates relative to the new date of the event being created.

Drop Down Menu for Extra Cost
I have spent about 15 days developing a site for my clients that provide a mountain bike demo event in Moab utah. Our participants can select from approximately 40 different bikes to demo in three separate events. Each bike carries separate demo charges.
We desperately need a drop down menu that will designate separate costs when selected. I am frantically attempting to create workarounds to get over this problem. But it is proving to be difficult.
My clients are very upset with this setback. Is there any way this can be custom built into my cart? Or any great ideas for a workaround?

Hide non-member registration types for members
We set up a yearly event in which members and non members are invited to attend at different prices. I create different registration types and that all works fine. When a non member registers they only get the non-member registration types, that is good. But when an active member starts to register for the event they get both the member and non-member price options.
Does anyone know a way to hide the non-member pricing from the logged-in members so they only get offered the member pricing? Am I missing a checkbox combination in setting up the Reg types?

Provide a way to change membership level during renewal
Current Behaviour
During membership renewal a member may have more than one membership level available. Choosing among them is cumbersome. The member clicks one button to renew at his current level or clicks another button to choose a different level.
Also, changing the membership level doesn’t act like a renewal as regards calculation of the Renewal Due date. Desired Behaviour
Use one button for both functions. If multiple membership levels are available, show “Renew and choose membership level” on the “Renew until …” button. This would give the member a choice that looks like that on the membership application form.
The membership Renewal Due date would need to be calculated based on the level that was selected, since different levels may have different renewal periods.
An option may need to be added to the membership level renewal policy to prohibit member self-service level changes, which would prevent the Change Membership Level button from showing on forms. Why
We have in the past only offered an annual membership (Regular). We have now created a three-year discounted membership as another level (Regular – 2011 3-Year Deal). The process for a member to select the new level is too cumbersome and confusing. First, he has to know another level exists. Then he has to use the Change Membership Level button instead of the Renew Until button. If he chooses the Change Membership Level button, the Renewal Due date is calculated differently that for a renewal (it’s based on the current date at the time of the level change).

Percentage of members renewing
Hi,
I need to know the percentage of members renewing. Member list tells me how many accounts have Renewal Overdue, but I need some context for that number. A raw number doesn't really tell me much, since I don't know if it 100 percent of existing members, or 5 percent.
Is there any easy way to obtain this number? I tried advanced search, but I couldn't figure out parameters that would show me active versus renewed versus overdue.
If there's not a way today, could this be added in to a future version of this? It's a valuable statistic to have.
Thanks!

Communications tracking (CRM)
I am posting this suggestion based on email exchange with a client - so that we can get more feedback from others.
Even though we don't normally refer to Wild Apricot as a CRM system, it has many things in common with CRM:
database of contacts
tracking of various transactions with each contact
the suggestion is to take this further:
Add 'Communications tab' to track all communications/actions with each contact: contact date & contact type, follow-up date & type, a note, tracking of emails (opens, links) and links to related correspondence records (email blasts). Among other major benefits, the system could be used for service and sales (fundraising) tracking and reporting, including the all important “tickler file”.
Add Outlook integration: include a copy of Outlook (client) inbox and sent items in the communications history for each member, to provide a complete picture of correspondence.
I would appreciate input from others.

Increase the number of scheduled event announcements
I agree! The per event scheduling is a great feature BUT it would be nice to schedule an email blast for all the events on a schedule.
We use our website for our training events and members are receiving 6 - 10 notifications a month. Even though they love our training events they do not like receiving individual notifications.
Any chance that this will be in a future release?

Customization of Email sent during Membership Level Change workflow
When a member changes there level, the system automatically sends them an email. Since there is an option to choose "manual payment", we need to be able to add our physical address to the email.

Automatic web archive of email blasts
Our membership would like the ability to see archived e-blasts sent to "All" members. In our membership model, all members are "equal." I could see this further broken down by Group, e.g., members belonging to Board group could view archive message sent to their group; e-blast sent to "all" members could be view by "all" members, etc. Also, having the ability to show messages sent within a certain time period, e.g., messages sent within the last 6 months (rather than messages archived forever).
Even better, have the ability to search e-blast message text by keywords much like the forums. The search results would need to take into account whether the member searching is authorized to see say Board messages. It might be easier to simply offer search for messages sent to "all" members.
I am guessing another function page devoted to e-blast archive viewing/searching would be necessary.

Add report on event payments by tender [9008]
I'd like to rename the thread, or perhaps it should be a separate thread?
Enhance Payment Report to separately total Manual Payments and On Line Payments as it did before
Or perhaps it's a separate thread --- the more I think about this, the more anxious I'm getting about our event management with this new report! This is going to make our event reconciliations much harder for our event managers. The old Payment report immediately displayed the total dollars paid via check (manual), and made sense to the event managers. Manual payments are all the event managers are responsible for collecting. The on line payments go directly to the bank (Paypal for us). I hate to think of our event managers having to do MATH or export to excel to make sure the Payment report matches the checks they have collected for an event. And the Treasurer can then also easily see by event what the on line revenue is in Paypal.
I hope others chime in with the same input so that we can get this capability back ASAP!

Customize event attendee list - both public and admins sides
Is it possible to customize what information is shown on the Registered attendee list that people can click on in event registration?
Specifically for our purposes, our trade show exhibitors can apply for their booth space through the event registration system. Rather than date and name, I'd like the list to show company name, products and website.
Thank you!

Merged several posts together, so that both public and admins lists can be customized. This is better for analysis and design to work on them together.

Admin to approve membership renewals
I realize this is a stretch, but our organization wants to require administrator approval not just for new applications, but for renewals.
For example, we have a discounted rate for full time students. We require that people show evidence they are full time students before we activate their membership. We can control this on the Member Level > New Applications tab with a checkbox under "Membership application review"
But once they are approved, a year later, they can renew at the same level even if they are no longer eligible for the discount.
Anyone has a solution for this?
Thanks/

Ability to see forum posts by each user/member
I put this comment in a different thread (oops!) and the Chief Apricot Dmitry said "I totally agree with your point about the usefulness of seeing a particular person's posts and I would appreciate if you could create a thread on this" Thanks Dmitry! Here it is...
It would be useful for us to see posts by each user - like in these WA forums when you click on the user's name and it brings you to a page with a tab that shows all of their posts.
Situations when we would like to see a list of each user's posts would include: when I know I posted something on a particular topic and want to follow up on it (and I forgot to subscribe to the topic) and I can't find it because the forum is large and I don't have time to sort through it all. Or, when I find a particular user's posts more helpful or informative than others, I would like to see what they had to say in their other posts on different topics. Also, we encourage members to be active on our forums and offer a reduced membership fee for a certain amount of participation - tracking this would be much easier if each member had a list of their posts.
Would this be useful to any other WA users?

Universal Email Footer
Need more info in footer when sending email blasts. CAN-SPAM requires a valid physical address.
Good -- Allow editing of the default footer that is added to all email blasts.
Better -- Allow editing, and saving, of multiple footers that can be chosen from, and added, by name, to each email blast as it is created and sent.
Best -- Allow editing of a default footer that is saved with all saved searches. Then, when a saved search is used to send an email blast, the footer saved and sent with it can be edited, and re-saved.

Membership Categorgy restictions by age
It would be great if WA allowed the restriction of certain membership categories to be restricted by age. We have a number of membership categories which include Cadets (Under 16), Juniors (Under 22) and Seniors (Over 60).
It would make membership management simpler to either flag or prevent reapplication within the wrong category. Obviously a date of birth field would need to utilised to be able to allow this to happen.

Functionality for whitepaper registration
We would like to offer free whitepaper downloads, if people will provide us their information. I would like to be able to create something like event registration except use to it provide access to a specific page(s) on our website. This page would have a whitepaper or other content for download.

Auto-login from e-mail links
It would be great if a macro could be built that could be used in an e-mail where the recipient simply clicks on a link and they are automatically signed in and directed to their membership profile. Currently, there is a macro that will direct the recipient to their profile, but they still have to manually login to get to it.
Anything we can do to simply the process for members who aren't super computer savy would be great. Having the macro automatically log them in would be a great enhancement. Thought I would post this to see if others also would like to see this function made available.
