1. email log and correctly counting links clicked

   How the Log is created for clicked embedded links counts the number of links clicked rather than the number of people that click on a link in the email. This occurs when multiple links are included in an email. I would much rather see how many people were engaged to click rather than the number of links clicked. A simple example: email has 3 embedded links and is sent to 6 people. If 2 people clicked all 3 links, it will show 6 links clicked rather than only 2/6 people were engaged to click on the links. A big difference. If you want the detailed links click by individuals, you can go into the details but at the Summary level, it should show metrics based on people (people delivered email to, people that opened up email, people (not clicks) that were activated).

2. Vote to poll by link without login

   I have created a poll for Admins only. I sent the link out via email to myself but have discovered that if I am not logged in and/or logged in but not in admin view I get the page not found (error 404). If I log in first and then go to admin view, the link takes me to the poll. People responding to an email link to a poll will usually not be logged in and get an error message.

5. Poll a subset of contacts or members (e.g. by status, zip code)

   I'd like the ability to poll a subset of members, using an list generated by an advanced contact search. For example, it would be helpful to be able to have a new-member poll or a poll of members in certain zipcodes.

6. Create store order by admin

   It would be very useful if an Admin could create a store order on behalf of a member as we can do for invoices etc. At present only the logged on member can raise an order.

7. Sign in sheet

   We manage a swim club and would like to record daily visits by members. This way we can track day to day, year over year and week over week attendance. Like a sign in sheet but tracked in Apricot.

   Events do not really work for that.

8. API for the Website System

   The current API (v2.1) does not support any of the content management system features like adding/removing/modifying pages or page templates.

   A simple API to do the following would be nice to have

   1. Add a page
   2. See if a page exists by page name or URL
   3. Delete a page
   4. Make a page in menu
   5. Set a pages access control settings
   6. Make a page template
   7. Delete a page template

   8. Assign a page to a page template

   9. Add CSS snippet to the custom CSS

   10. Select a theme and variant and apply it

   There is no need for gadget placement or movement. There is also no need for content addition.

   The idea behind this API is to "frame" in a website from a set of directives from a spreadsheet or an external program that can create a site on the fly. The existing API calls can create the proper fields, and sample events.

   This will make it much easier and faster to standup a Wild Apricot prototype for customers and also make it easier for partners to quickly get up and running based on a set of "templates" for various vertical markets.

9. Automatic CSS syntax checker

   When entering custom CSS through the CSS editor in the admin interface, it would be nice for CSS syntax to be checked on the fly before saving. It's pretty easy to make a syntax error and then beat your head against a desk thinking you are doing something wrong all because of a misplaced semi-colon or curly brace or wrong property name.

10. calendar view for mobile app vs list view

    We would like to see an actual calendar on the mobile app vs a list of events. This list is also in REVERSE chronological order. It would be great to have the times listed as well.

12. Events Setup. Chair, Registration Types, Types for Guests, additional info editting

    Events:
    1. For some reason while I am analyzing the database, do searches based on group designations, the members are not coming up in last name order ….. even though the default at the top says last name sort.
    2. It would be nice to have an 'Event Chair' field to enter the Chair Name to insert in the automatic emails as a Macro, instead of having to manually change the emails every time. This applies to new and renewal application emails too - 'Membership Chair'
    3. We would like to be able to use the word formatting in the additional information box that inserts into an email with a macro.

    In addition I am working with Event Registrations.
    I have tested a number of approaches to the following comments to resolve the issues, but have not found the best solutions.
    Maybe there is a way to setup registration that I have not found yet.
    I would like to know why Registration Types aren't extended to the Add Guest function of a Member registration?
    SNC does not want non-members of any kind added to the subscription base of the club. The Add Guest function has a non-add option. The Registration Type function does not.
    The Registration Type function has a 'charge a different fee' option. The Add Guest does not.
    But would like to do analysis from time to time of event registrations.
    You will see in the attached file, that an additional field has been created - Attendee, to identify whether the registrant is a member or not. This relies on the member choosing the right radial button. It does not allow for a different fee.
    You will also note that guests are coded as Member=Yes by WA programming, which falsifies the data for analysis if they are a non-member.
    An attempt was made to use Registration Types - Guest - Prospective etc. but this process adds any registration to the database. This is not desired.
    Because the Registration Type is not carried into the Add Guest function, the guest is always charged the same as the member. This is not necessarily a good practice either.
    The member / guest linked function, puts the member name in the linked field of the Guest record, but not in the Member record. If the file is sorted for table assignment, and the guests have a different last name - the link is lost. If the Member record had a repeat of the member name in the linked field, a primary sort of linked then last name would keep them together.
    It would be helpful if SNC could create standard Registration Types, with non-add contact, different fee functions with the link to the member field coded ….. or have the Registration Types carry to the Add Guest feature of the Member registration. Future analysis of the Event system would make sense.
    I look forward to hearing from you, with some setup options to accomplish these tasks.

13. Produce screen display data as a single, coherent table that can be exported or copied.

    First, many people have asked for various ways to export various reports, but there are so many wishes that none of them has a lot of votes. Yet, overall, reporting is -- or should be -- a capability that any thoughtful organization should require.

    Let me also preface that exporting raw data to a spreadsheet file is NOT a solution to the needs of many of us. 1) We came to WA to AVOID messing with spreadsheets. 2) Some of our (otherwise very competent) members (volunteers all) abhor spreadsheets. They don't use them at work, have no need to learn them, and often the report is a one-off situation so building spreadsheet calculations, etc. is absurd. Great for analyzing your stock portfolio over time. Not for quickly presenting a look at the past three years' events data.

    This need applies in particular to the displayed list of events and displayed Advanced Searches. I've checked with Support and can confirm that none of these work well, and WA has no alternative approach.

    For example, I'll use my current situation. We run special trips frequently through the year. Some of them are not well attended. I want to show the list of trips, the date and title of each, attendance at each, competing events if any (which I will add), and as long as WA displays the attendance breakdown in terms of member, non-member, early payment, etc, it would be nice to keep that.

    Here's what I've tried.

    A "screen grab" (i.e, drag the cursor across the display, copy, and paste into Word). The problem is that although I can paste it as a table, the table has extra columns, merged columns (the title spans several columns) and within the registration cells there nested tables. This makes it impossible to delete the unneeded columns and to format the text and paragraphing and so forth. In the case of an Advanced Search, it's even worse, because usually the search results consist of several tables.

    Exporting to Excel. This is senseless. I get a file where every registrant for every even for five years is given a line, but the report I see on WA can't be replicated. Unless maybe I spend a week programming Excel to do it.

    Printing to PDF, then copying from that. So far, this has been a dead end. Apparently the resulting PDF is image-based, so I can't copy data from it. I will try other PDF printers and readers, but am not optimistic. Usually copying from a PDF gives jumbled results, sometimes even one word per line or contents out of order.

    Convert the PDF to a Word file. I've used Nuance products to do this. The result looks like your page, but is even more jumbled and segmented.

    The only solution is to create my own table and then laboriously copy and paste the data from the screen or one of the above documents into my table. This is complicated by the Registration Types cells being tables themselves. To format them properly, I then need to convert each of them, individually, to text.

    Please either program your pages so that data reports may be copied and easily massaged when pasted into a Word, email or text file. Or export the displayed data in a form that can be imported into a spreadsheet (and from there to Word or email, if that's possible), or a CSV or tab-delimited file that can be pasted into Word or Outlook and converted "Text to Table" without getting messed up.

    Oh, and if the 31-Oct-2018 date format can't be sorted by Office programs, then please revise that, too. I'm hoping it can.

16. Indicate use of custom member renewal reminder email

    An indicator of the existence of a custom member renewal reminder email in the Membership Level Details > Renewal policy tab > Renewal reminders and actions section. See mockup.

    This would help when updating emails.

17. Email capability for read-only admins

    Allow limited admins send email. One of my many complaints: "It’s too much working signing in and out between membership admin and workshops admin just to do simple tasks like sending an email."

18. I wish that database fields could be made "required" but only for certain membership types.

    For example, we have a field named "Company Name" and I would like to make that a "required" field for members applying for one of our 'company' membership levels. However, we don't want it to also be "required" on our "student" or "individual" membership levels.
