Event Dev
Creating an event is more difficult than it needs to be and the results are less than optimum.
1 - It isn't exactly WYSIWYG. The area for an event is not shown precisely as designed when displayed live.
2 - Because of the design constraints resulting from the system generated block of event details the content describing the event extends too far down the page forcing the visitor to scroll more than necessary.
Here is a link to a sample event page:https://waee.wildapricot.org/event-3162135
I have attached a picture of the event page as is today that includes a potential solution as well.
This is the second time I have brought this topic up using the feedback feature on the website. I received no response. At the very least, please acknowledge receipt.

Membership Updates
It would be helpful if I am automatically notified when someone makes a change to their information.

More collaborative approach to Events
Any member of the bicycle club can easily post a ride to the event calendar, much like creating a topic on the forum.
The ride leader would simply click a "gadget icon", enter the ride description, date and time of the event, and post it. The event would automatically send email notifications and contain a link to the forum. The email recipients and timing of the email blasts could be configured by Admin via a system or template page.
The ride leader could create a forum topic, and in that topic insert links to the start location on Google Maps, a link to the "Ride with GPS" website (a site to create the Global Position System route) and could upload to the forum, the navigation files for the bicycle cyclometers.
Most of our club members do not want to venture into the admin view of the website. But, we would like every club member to be able to post a ride event to the calendar.

Guest registration form changes
Need to modify the guest registration form. Specifically need to remove the email field. We have members that share email addresses with spouses or significant others. Gets confusing if they enter the common address and they get an already registered message.

Add Event Last Updated, Event Registrations Last Updated for the event list and specific events
Unlike with contacts, there currently there are no date updated fields in the event portions of the API. Without knowing when the database was last changed regarding events, there does not seem to be an easy way for an outside application to know when it should be querying data for changes since the last time that events have changed.
The minimum would seem to be
Events Last Updated - across all events.
Event Registrations Last Updated - across all events
Event Last Updated - for a single event.
Event Registrations Last Updated - for a single event.A couple more event level date fields might be useful:
Event Schedule Last Updated - this would track changes in event session times only, not other items.

Ability to export/import Levels
It would be very useful to be able at least to export all Levels fields to csv and ideally being able to import them back. We have 3 sports and many categories per each sport. It's a serious drag to check or change level settings one by one. Even changing the yearly price is time consuming and with Excel we would be able just to multiply all prices by, say, 2% in one go and reimport the whole thing back like you do with Conact fields.

Macro expansion in website text
Macros in website content pane?
The website editor does not allow macros in the page templates where macros for organization short name, address elements, contact Email, contact phone, and office hours would be useful.5 votes -
Separate Registration Button Macro
Separate macros for the Registration and Not Attending Buttons. Having a macro for each would allow us to put them on separate lines in a narrow column.

Make white space available
At times the amount of unavailable white space impedes content design. While the whole page is an issue my primary concern is the system event notification (blue box on left side - see attached image)
It seems to me that the area for the image could be segregated leaving more space for content. As it stand now the narrow area remaining stings out content down the page - result, too much scrolling.1 vote -
download blog
We have a blog that lists job postings, and it would be helpful if we could download it. Thanks!

closing member level to all registrations including lapsed members
Wild Apricot is structured so that lapsed members can always renew their memberships. This is a problem for us.
Some of our membership levels have a maximum enrollment, controlled by the size of our facility. We want to be able to close registration for those member levels, when we reach capacity.
But there is no way to prevent lapsed members from re-enrolling, no matter how what we do.
But we want lapsed members to remain lapsed - not suspended - up until we reach capacity. For obvious reasons - it is easy for a lapsed member to re-up, it is difficult for a suspended member to re-up.
Perhaps you could add, on the Members/Levels/Renewal policy tab, an additional "If not renewed within X day(s)" choice with the Void/Change/Change/Suspend/Archive checkboxes.
This would allow us to set 30 days as the change status to lapsed event; and 75 days as the change status to suspended event. This would not totally solve the issue, but it would reduce the hand-editing we need to do to the data table, changing status's from lapsed to suspended, in order to prevent over-enrollment.
Best would be a simple switch to totally block new enrollment in certain member levels - from all people, including lapsed members.

limit # of events that can be attended by a embership level
be able to limit the number of events that a membership type can attend. I offer one large event at the end of the year and would like to be able to exclude that event from a lower costing membership that has access to only three events.

it would be helpful to limit the number of events that a specific membership can attend.
After- event emails would be helpful for following up with potential new members who attend.

Member mobile app: invoice renewal payment
Hi, Re the Member Mobile App. Surely a function to pay there membership is beneficial? In addition to the ability to edit there profile. Such as adding photos, or a description of their company to add to a directory. Often this task for members is low priority during a work day but perfect timing if they had access to a mobile app outside of the office. Also the Gallery, Blog & Resources and so on. All of these are much more likely to be accessed outside of the office and would offer greater connection for members.

Event or Blog List Display customization
I would really like to see the ability to customize the blog listing or the event listing and what is shown on it. For example, on some events or blogs I might start with a picture at the top. Others I don't. When I look at the roll-up of events or blog articles, it looks really dumb when they are inconsistent on this page or when pictures are cut off.

Change Field Type in Event Forms
I'd like to be able to update form types after the form has been saved. For example, if a field type is saved as multiple choice but then during testing we realize it should be a radio button, currently I have to create a new field and delete the old one instead of just editing the type of the existing field.

Any small and/or academic museums using WA?
I'm researching CRM and AMS options for our small, academic museum to manage our membership database. If there are any other museums currently using WA, I'd love to chat about your experience.

Customize event emails by tags
I would love to see an option where I can set default emails for events by the type of event (how it is tagged). For example, I could create one set of email templates for all events tagged as "classes" and another one for all events tagged as "performances."

Negative RSVP and Event Announcements
It would be great if in Events members could RSVP as not attending and then be removed from future announcement emails about that event. It would be a great service to them to not get emails about events they where they have no interest or can't attend.
