Block/make private financial details from some administrators
While we give some members administrative rights, it would be good to have the option of blocking financial data from administartors

Linking to documents
It would like the ability to link to documents within the default "link" panel rather then having "files" as a unique type.
The benefit of linking to documents using the "link" method is that users could select if the document should open in a new window (or not) and also select a button style.
Attached is a quick mock-up illustrating how this could look.

bulk upload for multiple coupon numbers
Would be nice to bulk upload individual coupon codes from an excel spread sheet instead of having to put each code in by hand.

Export Menu Choices To PDF or spreadsheet
Our group had our first dining out event with all the attendees using WA to make their dinner choices - so far so good. But after I generated their choices to give to the chef (Reports/Registration Fields) I was stymied because there was no easy way to print the report. Unlike an attendance report there seemingly was no export to pdf or to spreadsheet option. Plus my web browser will not print the whole report just part of it. Sooo last minute I needed to become creative and take screenshots and then print them - a lot more steps than I had envisioned particularly when under a last minute time crunch!
This seems to be simple oversight - can we have a report to spreadsheet and pdf option for the registration fields report?

Slack Oauth integration
Slack https://slack.com is taking the world by storm on community building. You may have heard of how easy it is to participate in a real time discussion, with easy to use collab tools. It's killing email, they say.
Slack has OAuth v2 support. Wild Apricot has Oauth support. How about single signon support for Slack from WA?
This would make it really easy to add collab groups to an existing WA community and extend Wild Apricot's functionality to run meetings, projects and other collaborative, geographically distributed projects all through Slack.
Why not? Please +1 this if you think this is a good idea.

Event Email Reminders required group selection
When duplicating an event - also duplicate the list the emails reminders are to be sent to. Monthly committee meetings always have the same group. Or require a group selection vs. reminders automatically going to the whole membership or contact list.

Provide secure FTP to Resources folder, WebDav is too slow and unreliable
File upload via the main files 'widget' is slow and cumbersome, and WebDav uploads are very slow, and often unreliable. Secure FTP should be straightforward to implement, and would make life much simpler when managing large numbers of files.

allow the event page button to be labeled individually by event versus globally.
As a non-profit we have several kinds of events and having the button on each event page doesn't always tie in with what we are trying to do. There are times we would like it to say sponsor now or get tickets, reserve seats, etc., versus the current option of the button label changes being global.

credit card fees to be paid by members
Our members love being able to pay their membership dues by credit card. However, our biggest gripe with the payment systems that apricot supports is that there doesn't appear to be a way to give the credit card processing fee to the member, rather than our company. Since our membership costs are very high ($36,750), these small (~ 3.5%) fees really cost us a lot of money ($1,286.25), and it would be very helpful if we could pass these fees back on to the member.
For example, if there was a way to allow members to manually enter in the amount they want to pay by credit card (including the 3.5% fee), rather than automatically having to pay the full invoice amount (less the 3.5% fee). I know Intuit QuickBooks allows the members to add the fee to their payment, but Apricot doesn't support intuit quickbooks online payments.

122 votesMany thanks for your comments and feedback in this thread - it was super helpful for us in analysis and design of the feature.
I'm happy to announce that we're working on adding donations to compensate payment processing fees. This feature will be released later this year. Some design decisions I wanted to speak out explicitly:
1. We decided to proceed with optional donations to compensate credit card processing fees as opposed to surcharges/convenience fee.
Main reasons for this is that there are too many regulations around mandatory charges to compensate fees: it's illegal in some countries/states, there are caps on how much you could charge, etc. To avoid all of this legal complications we decided to suggest members to opt-in to compensate processing fees, as opposed to make them obligatory.
All these transactions will be recorded as donations in WA and can be later used for tax deduction.2. You will be able to set the amount of donation based on amount of payment (e.g. 2.9% +$0.3) based on your average transaction fees.
Reason for this is that it's technically almost impossible to calculate amount of fee before transactions is done - there are too many variables in place: currency conversions, cross-border fees, different fees for credit card brands, etc. Thanks again for you support, votes and feedback. We really appreciate it!

view registration codes more easily
Is it possible to display all the registration codes (if any) for each registration type in the "registration types & settings" tab? Also adding it when generating the registration type report would be helpful also.

Allow wordpress sign-on in other direction - when a user logins in WA, he should be logged in in Wordpress too
Under the present implementation if a member logs on to the wordpress site they will be logged on to WA. However, the reverse does not take place; a member logging on to the WA site needs to log on again to get into the WP site. Since wordpress offers tons of speciality pluggins I am using a wordpress site to complement the features that WA does not have (and likely never will) I direct logged in members at the WA site to the wordpress site to fill in these specialty feature holes but the need to double login presents a confusing hurdle.

Event scroll bar
You used to have an Events gadget with a scroll bar. The gadget had a set size but unlimited listing which the scroll bar allowed the user to view all events.
Why did you remove this? Or is it not offered in all themes? Why would it not be standard across all themes? Thanks

Limit number of member albums by membership level?
We would like to offer the photo album feature as a benefit of memberhship. And we'd like to offer an increasing number of albums as membership level increases. For example, one album for a basic membership, and 3 albums for a premium membership.
Currently, it appears that wild apricot tools only provide for equal access to albums by all members. Could this be revised to help us encourage members to go up a level in membership?

Show the "Changes History" button to any admin on pages where they have update rights
Our club runs 7 related programs and as webmaster I've given restricted access to all 7 program directors to manage content on their own program pages. But the Changes History button is not visible to any of them. Apparently that very helpful feature is only available to Account Administrator with full access. It would really great if they could restore old versions of their pages when they mess something up, but currently they have to call me and ask me to do it.
