  1. Common Fields - ability to choose admin only fields

I like the option of not including all common fields on my event registrations. However, if I do not select the "all common fields" box then I can not include our custom ID number which is an administrator only field. It would be great if we could choose all fields to be included -- even those that are not visible to attendees.

  2. Customize Event registration status ("Registration is closed", ".. event is now sold out..."

When registration is not yet open, our site says "Registration is closed." That can be interpreted as "SOLD OUT" or "TOO LATE." If reservations for one of our events are not yet being taken, how do we either eliminate that statement (simply don't have a button yet) or say "Reservations are not yet being taken"?

    UPDATE by Yuri Karatunov

I decided to add one more comment from Malcom C. as it should be solved together

The message that appears to Members on the registration screen when the registration limit has been reached is system-wide and can only be changed using…

  3. Automatically generated flyer for events

The idea is that a visitor can press a button to automatically generate a flyer saved as .pdf of the event. The flyer can then pop up on the screen to be saved or printed and/or it can be emailed to the visitor.

  4. Ensure important event emails are delivered to ALL registrants

Sometimes we have very important information to share with all registrants for an event - e.g., a time or location change. Great - go the event, select "Email registrants", and you're done. EXCEPT... anybody that's opted out of emails DOES NOT RECEIVE this important update. My request is to provide a way for these important "event update" emails to be delivered - perhaps by categorizing them differently than marketing-related emails.

    Thank you.

  5. "Event checklist"

A modifiable Event Check List. For example:
    1. Post to Calendar.
    2. Send Invoice.
    3. Deposit received.
    4. Full Payment received.
    5. Reserve space.
    6. Send confirmation email.
    7. Return deposit.
    8. Schedule vendor.
    etc.

A check list with check boxes. And a notes field to enter any additional notes about an event that was searchable.

  6. Adding additional recipients to automatic event e-mails

Our club has large events (long-weekend gatherings) at are administered by an event manager, and contained within it smaller activities that are separately organized by different people with separate registration requirements/limits (classes, activities). This is a little more complicated than multi-session events, so we can't use that functionality for this.

So instead, we have the master event with the event organizer being the overall event manager (used to sign up people for the long weekend and over overall event costs), and then the "sub-events" that happen during the master event are events themselves, with their leader/instructor as the event organizer…

  7. Event Manager without being Event Admin

Prevent Event Admins from editing member data - or allow some events to be configured by non-admin. We want to allow certain members (rotates - different person each year) to be the 'admin' of an event but not give them full access (editing member data, viewing member financial info unrelated to the event). Wish there were a way to allow them to edit and monitor event registrations without being an admin.

  8. Offline payments on Event Management Module

We were extremely surprised and disappointed wiht Event Management Module : While it offers the option to pay offline the user interface has just not been thought out at all. It should be a pretty easy code -fix and we are surprised it has not been done yet since it is extremely confusing and unfriendly.

If people are offered an offline payment option, you need a screen where the event organizer can give them instructions for sending a check.

Right now, Tthe registrant is brought back to a screen where the only options they have are Pay Invoice or Register…

  9. Meeting Sponsorship

It would be nice to have a way for members to register (and be billed) for sponsorship. Right now we are having to use sponsorship registration as an "event".

  10. Event Creation Audit Trail

Need an Audit Trail for Event Creation
When we joined WA some 4 years ago we had no restriction on the number of Admin Staff. We had around 20 staff authorised to create events and this enabled us to track who was doing what. Now with only 10 admins allowed we are forced to have many event organisers use a single admin, login in. PROBLEM, there is no audit trail

  11. Improve date selection for registration open & close

The calendar for selecting dates when editing "Registrations types & settings" is very slow to come up and takes forever to change months. Please use the calendar that pops up to select the date for an event. It is very fast and much brighter.

  12. Copy all details of an event - registration types, emails, etc.

I'm setting up a form that has three payments, a different payment for non-members, an earlybird discount, late fees, etc., and there's no wy to copy these from one event to another. The whole event has to be cloned! Senseless.

  13. Modify Screen for "Guest" of Registrant

For an event, when registering a guest, don't show the "guest" entry again at the bottom of his/her entry. It's very confusing to the user.

  14. Registration for event incomplete notice.

I have had people not complete the registration for an event. They fail to click on the "confirm" button. It could be bigger, perhaps, but they THINK they are done and plan to send a check rather than pay with paypal on-line. The problem is that the registration totally goes away if that "confirm" button is not clicked. Yes it should be caught by the person receiving the check or perhaps the check does not get sent.... BUT the person arrives at the conference and they are not counted in the numbers and the registration has to be done on…

  15. Allow to publish events calendar so any person can add it to their own calendar program - e.g. ICS calendar publishing

Allow the publishing of an ICS feed. Google Calendar and Outlook can not read an RSS into a calendar. What users want is an integrated calendar on their desktop and phone. When an event is added group members see it in their calendar.

  16. Backup/Restore Events

Recently, a new WA admin mistakenly deleted our "gala" event with over 100 registrants - just a few days before the event.

Currently, WA Support cannot restore the event (or any events) - nor will a site backup recover the events. At best, WA Support Level II is hoping to recover some data...

This situation is probably not significant with respect to frequency. However, depending on the Event it can have a significant impact on a non-profit collecting funds, managing an event, and the perception regarding same.

Clearly, this situation can and has put WA and folks supporting same in…

  17. Fields in Registration Forms

Fields in Registration Forms need a "disable" option so we can cut off sign-ups for paper submission (academic conference) three or so weeks before the event, and also cut off sign-ups for meals a few days before the event (because of caterer deadlines). Right now the only way to handle this is to backup the registration data (i.e., put it into "Excel Hell") and then delete the field, thus loosing the data it held. Better yet would be to have a date-specified cutoff such as is available for Registration Types.

  18. Events RSS Feed should include Start and End Dates and Times.

The RSS feed for Events should include Start and End Dates/Times. This is basically unusable at this point, because the only thing surfaced is the "posting date".

  19. Manualy register several attendees for event

I would like to be able to manually register more than one contact/member at a time for an event, either through an import or by being able to put a check beside every contact/member I would like to manually register and being able to select "All" as well.

  20. Change word "Registration" to "Reservation"

Allow rewording of "Registration is Closed." We do not always begin an event's reservations period as soon as it is posted. Saying registration is closed can be misinterpreted as meaning the event is full. This, people won't come back when reservations actually open. Let us substitute "Registration is not yet open" or "Registrations begin (date)" or omit it altogether. And while your at it, let us say "reservations" not "registration"; it's the word we've used for decades, the person who takes reservations is the Reservationist (who ever heard of a "Registrationist"?) and we think it's friendlier. Not every event is…
