1. Situations and scenarios for not using financial module

   In our 4.3 release back on Dec 14, 2011 we have changed payment workflow - it now always goes through the following steps:start the transaction (e.g. event registration), fill out appropriate fields, confirmhave the invoice generated and displayed on a special page which lists full history of invoices and payments, highlighting open invoicespay for this invoice right away - or proceed to another transactionBefore 4.3 release, people had no ability to see invoices, only administrators was able to do it.

   New workflow resolves many frequent requests we had, including: People can pay for several invoices with a single paymentThey can always retry later if their original attempt at online payment failed Administrators can manually create invoices, email them and have them paid onlineOverpayments and credits some members might have on their accounts can now be applied to future payments. Visitors can apply for membership, then register for an event and pay for both. (When a visitor starts event registration and there are member-only registration types, system suggests to apply for membership and after application shows him a button to continue event registration.)Member can see his payments and invoices history, including registration details without having to contact administratorsAll contacts, not only members can log in, view invoices and pay online We have now received a number of requests from people who want to completely disable these new capabilities and not show invoices and payments to their members/contacts.    Why do you need to disable this new functionality? What are your internal processes and how does this functionality interferes with them? Until we have a clear understanding of this, we can’t design a proper solution (e.g. simply ‘disabling everything’ would break all self-service transactions workflows). Here are some questions we would like to understand in regard to these requests:Do you accept only offline payments, only online payments or both? How do you keep track of unpaid invoices? (Especially, If you don’t do it in Wild Apricot) How are your internal workflows structured? (E.g. what people should do after entering a transaction in your Wild Apricot site, who/how/when enters payments and communicates with people who sent them) Do you use different payment methods for your membership and event registrations? (For example, you accept checks for membership but for event registrations you only take online payments.)What is your ideal picture of payment workflow in Wild Apricot? Please tell as as much as you can about your organization setup - this will help us to figure out the best solution.

2. Create NEWSLETTER from Web Pages

   After I add/update the web pages, I would like to extract the data to create a NEWSLETTER and send it in a BLAST EMAIL to our MEMBERS. It would be Great if a MACRO was created where I could insert a list of URL NAMES that would be sent with the Email and opened when the Recipient opens the Email. This would save much duplicate work of manually creating the NEWSLETTER.

   It is IMPORTANT that I can select the URLs since every web page is NOT updated every month.

   I suspect that many other administrators would also appreciate this feature.

3. make it possible to customize the directory search criteria

   Can you please make it possible to amend the search criteria
   on the drop down box for the search function (in the directory) to
   just show 'contains' rather than all the other options e.g. 'empty'
   etc. See below:

4. Filters

   I would like to be able to have custom filters for all Filter check boxes. For example, I would like to see only this year's donations, or members who joined last year, etc.

   Ideally the filters would all use the same SQL logic/fields, and be available for all or just selected lists (e.g., [Last Name begins with 'G'] would be available for all filters, while [Donation greater than $1,000] would only apply to the Donations section).

   I also imagine a grid maintenance view, where all custom filters are listed from top to bottom and the various sections are columns from left to right. Any filter that is not technically possible for any section is shaded out, and the administrator can select and de-select any of the available filters with a check box.

5. Automatic invoices for admin-initiated membership level changes

   When a member opts to change membership level the system automatically generates an invoice.

   However if the member sends in a cheque so that one of our admin staff does the membership level change, no invoices are generated automatically.

   We have a stripped down free member level that we hope encourages people to become paid members, however, the workflow as it stands now makes it very easy for our admin people to just miss the invoice step so that the member will never be charged the new rate.

   I'd like to see invoices automatically generated for membership level changes (if there is a difference in price of course). At the very least, please put a "Manual Invoice" button somewhere in the workflow so that our admins are reminded that it's not an automatic process

6. Events: Pin an event to top of list

   I would like the ability to pin an event to the top of the Event List when viewing the listview version of events (not calendar view). Some organizations have one or two events (e.g., Annual Conference) that are really important and they always want them displayed at the top of the list -- all year long.

7. Provide membership or event discount by matching email domain

   Greetings,

   I would like to know if you could create a way to link only the email's domain to a membership.

   I am the Director of Education for the World Trade Center in Denver, CO, a 501(c)6. Companies become members of the WTC Denver to help them import, export and to attend our specialized classes on conducting international trade. When a company becomes a member of the WTC Denver all of their employees receive the membership benefits.

   Example: One of our members is MillerCoors. MillerCoors has several thousand employees within their company making it unrealistic for me to enter each employees email address into my database so I can offer them the membership discount at our events.

   Would it be possible to associate only the email domain with a membership so anyone that enters an email address associated with a member company gets the member discount at our events. For example: anyone that uses an email address ending in @millercoors.com receives the discount.

   Wild Apricot has been an invaluable asset to the World Trade Center Denver.

8. Member registration incomplete email

   working on migrating client site to wa, and while testing their current site - I started an application but did not complete it. nice little feature to add or consider for wa. incomplete application gets an email notification when idle for over "x" time or when session expires?

9. Shortcut to send payment receipts from invoice details screen

   After an invoice is paid, if we click on 'E-mail' it still generates an invoice asking for payment. Can this be changed to send a receipt instead?

10. Percentage of members renewing

    Hi,

    I need to know the percentage of members renewing. Member list tells me how many accounts have Renewal Overdue, but I need some context for that number. A raw number doesn't really tell me much, since I don't know if it 100 percent of existing members, or 5 percent.

    Is there any easy way to obtain this number? I tried advanced search, but I couldn't figure out parameters that would show me active versus renewed versus overdue.

    If there's not a way today, could this be added in to a future version of this? It's a valuable statistic to have.

12. Allow non-members to create blog posts and new discussion forum threads

    We have a need to have non-members be able to have full access to blogs and discussion boards, post new topics, etc. At a minimum, we woul like event attendees to be able to even if they aren't members.

13. Display members as a tag cloud using custom fields as tags

    I don't know if this has been mentioned before, but several of my members would like to have their membership searchable based off of certain meta tags that they can define. I would love to see a criteria in the membership profile for member imputed meta tags.

14. Permit changing the font size for member Profile system pages

    The font size for the Contact profile and Member public profile system pages is too small for some of our older members, but I cannot figure out how to make it bigger.

    The default font size for the website's text is 18, while the font size for the profile system pages appears to be about 10--much too small.

    Wild Apricot support suggests I edit the associated CSS, and while I'm experienced with CSS, I do not see any way of accessing it for these system pages; in fact, I'm not sure they employ CSS at all. Thank you.

15. Calculate Member's Tenure from Joining Date

    We need a field that calculates the tenure of a member from their joining date. This is crucial for competitions where members are grouped based on their tenure. You can check through this calculator : https://yashesaplama.com.tr/ (e.g., 5 years and above).

    This field should support queries such as "Tenure > n years".

    Additionally, we require an enhancement to determine the member's tenure on a specific date. This is necessary for events where we need to know the member's tenure as of a closing date for entries.

16. Barcode on Membership Cards

    Barcodes on Membership Cards - I would like to see barcodes added to the membership cards so we can verify 1) they are a member; 2) their membership is current; 3) how many people are covered under their membership so we can charge for additional guests. So the barcode would be used to pull up a particular member in WA in real-time at check-in. Does this already exist? And if so, how do we activate it?

17. Ability to send e-mails to address from Event Registration

    When attendees register for an event, sometimes they would like to have a confirmation e-mail sent to a secondary e-mail address (spouse, family member, etc.) — NOT some attached to their Member account on WildApricot. Currently, this is not possible.

18. Total Registrants Count

    PLEASE change the total registrants count on the event list view to show # Attendees + # Guests - not the total number of a people attending. At a glance, we need to see how many members have registered, but the current count on this page includes guests lumped into that total. To view the breakdown, we have to click each event then go to the registrants tab. Having it separated on the Events List would be much better!

20. Using passkeys for authentication

    When will passkeys be an option for users to authenticate into the website without the need for a password? See the FIDO Alliance [https://fidoalliance.org/] and/or https://www.passkeys.com/

    Safer than passwords, No 2FA or Captcha needed. Easy to use.
