Allow event macro "Invoice_Details_URL" use in manual emails.
Allow event Macro "Invoice Details URL" to appear in manual emails.
I use this macro to prompt "pending" event attendees via the Events email pending tool, but cannot use it to later prompt non-paying registrants. This would be very helpful.

SEO: Custom meta description and title tag for each Event. Also a "list title" as opposed to Page Title and Headline
Please give more robust Search Engine Optimization capability to those of us who know its importance and know how to use it.
It's more than "SEO"; it's a matter of site functionality.
We get a lot of visitors from search engines. Often they find and go directly to an event description page, or the overall list of events, where they register and have are not even aware that they should know more about us first. For this reason, and for SEO reasons, we would benefit greatly if we were able to tweak the displayed page title and search snippet for EACH event description. Otherwise, Google picks up fragments of text containing the search words, which is usually does not help convert to a clickthrough, and does not help us explain what they've found.
I believe HTML 5 allows meta tags to be contained in the body of a page (rather than in the header), but it requires a certain specification in the header. I am unfamiliar with the required code and syntax, but surely someone at WA is. However WA's HTML editor immediately deletes any meta tag in the event description, unless it is contained in an HTML comment tag, which will probably make it ignored, or worse, look like spamming. So that needs attention from WA, too.
Please rocognize that a Title tag, a page Headline (e.g., H1), and the title of an event as shown in the master events list are NOT the same things (and for that matter, neither is the page's file name, which we cannot customize for an event, either, right?). Each serves a different purpose and needs to be worded specifically for that. The title that appears in a SERP would look stupid, wordy and redundant in a list of events, and would not be an attractive headline. It might contain stop words and punctuation and would often be relatively long, so it would not be good as a custom URL, either.
In summary, each event description (and similar generated pages) needs the following fields, which can contain defaults but need to be individually customizeable for that particular event:
- Custom URL (file name, for that particular event)
- Title tag (for that particular event). Field length should match Google's typical minimum (although actually Google goes by the space used, not character count, so allow a bit extra).
- Meta Description tag (for that particular event) (ditto regarding field length)
- "List" title (appears on the list of all events and as the Title macro in emails)
- Headline for the description text (an existing capability)
This is mainly about Google but of course all major search engines are relevant. And this is all standard SEO/marketing best practices, nothing "black hat" about it.

repeating fields
Currently the member fields option does not allow a "repeating" field. Essentially we have simple datatypes for storing structured data, but some fields require a repeating field. For example:
A field such as "articles of note" requires a field to support 1 or more links to an article. Even better would be to be able to combine existing data types in a "row" together that can be repeated by the end user.
This way a member profile could have a potentially unlimited set of structures to store data about the member.
You could have:
- Events of interest
- Articles online
- A video library
Any "array" of details can be stored one or more times in a profile making a profile a much richer experience. Eventually WA profiles can act as landing pages for WA members, something that organizations may offer for their members, especially if members are organizations, rather than people.

Add event type field
Currently in WA from the event list page they are only categorized as upcoming, past, and admin. or we can search by event name. I would like to see an event type designation: Workshop, Webinar, Conference, Meetup, Networking, etc. that could also allow for reporting on events by type.

Send invoice via API
We regularly use the API to generate invoices that are sent to our members for state filing fees, but since there is no trigger to force sending of a newly created invoice through Wild Apricot via API, we send them through our own template system.

Manage tasks associated with a member
From a customer's comment:
It would be great to have a task list associated with member actions, for instance:
Event/Task
New member/send intro package
Renewal/send thank you note
Donation/send thank you noteand so on
The tasks are removed from the list as the actions are taken. Yes the emails can be used for this but they are outside the WA system and mixed with other emails.

Not charge existing members initiation fee (extra charge costs) when they change levels.
Not charge existing members initiation fee (extra charge costs) when they change levels.
Initiation fee is only applicable to new members, not existing members who would like to change levels. It will be nice to have an extra cost field type applicable for new members only.4 votes -
Prohibit sending message from one's own profile
I am writing as a webmaster who must deal with confused members. Currently when a member is on the web page to edit his/her own profile, there is an option to send a message. There is no clue shown as to whom that message will go to, but I am quite certain it will only go back to the sender. That seems like a useless thing to do, and one likely to create confusion (because the member is likely to erroneously believe a society officer will see the message). I'd like to see <SEND> removed from the edit profile page.

Having several schedules for email blast
The new update for scheduling email blasts is really a great idea. It was a problem before that this one does not exist. But in addition to this feature, maybe we can add like 3 or 5 schedules in 1 email.

Provide the capability of allowing the user to select as his default the font type and font size he/she prefers to use.
have the user select the default type font and size he/she prefers to use. Now, we must go through selecting our preferred font and its size for every email we do. Sometimes if the content is fairly long the system reverts to your default and the result is text with a mixed font which then requires further editing. Someone suggested a "preferences" approach. That would work for me.

Ability to customize security aspects of {Registration_buttons} macro (warning message, auto-login behavior) in event announcements emails
Current behavior:
When an event announcement email includes the {Registration_buttons} macro
- buttons has the ability to auto login recipients
- security warning advising against forwarding the email will automatically appear in red at the topThere are some issues with this solution:
- "scary" security warning may reduce attendee engagement
- risks of having autologin link in email might not be clear enough
- there is no customization available (i.e there is no way to switch off autologin functionality and remove message)Desired behavior:

Peer-to-peer WA user discussion group
I really wish Wild Apricot offered a true users' forum here. Sometimes I have issues that I'd like to bring to the community before I run off to tech support. For example: I've discovered that some of our automatic renewal e-mails were not sent. Some were for international e-mail accounts (e.g., .ca, .uk). About half of the Hotmail addresses didn't go. And for some, I just can't find a reason. Before I call up tech support, it would be great if I could just post a question in a peer forum here to see if this is something others have run into.
I understand WA not wanting folks to give out bad advice. From browsing the wishlists, though, I know that there are some advanced users on here who could probably help the noobs with some of the nuts-and-bolts troubleshooting that isn't always covered in the Help pages.

Color and styles by page
The color and syles are very, very difficult to match to pages.
You should be able to select each page and change the colors on the page rather than being forced to make global changes affecting many pages inadvertently.

calendar event export
We're transitioning to WA from a hodgepodge of sites and used Meetup to manage our events. I'd like to see the event export functionality that Meetup and Evite have. For both Meetup & Evite, their export process is:
1) Click Export/Add to Calendar
2) Select your particular calendar (google, iCal, outlook, yahoo)
3) Click Save to save it to your calendar [for Google anyway]This is far easier and more elegant than having to download a file, find where it's saved to select it, and import. While you can save it from the event registration email, that creates a calendar event that is way too wordy and requires editing to see what it is other than "Event Registration confirmed for".

If you want to add event to your calendar from member-facing page, then you could use mobile app for members. Each event there can be added to your device calendar in a single tap.
Here is a related help article https://gethelp.wildapricot.com/en/articles/1516#eventsIf you want to make a mass export of your events in other calendar system, like Google calendar, then you can use integration service Integromat. We already have a preconfigured integration scenario for WA + Google calendar pair and a similar one could be easily implemented for other calendars. Here is a quick-start link https://www.integromat.com/en/integration/2276-copy-wild-apricot-events-into-google-calendar

email list forwarding
I like being able to send email to our list of members, and I like being able to have them maintain their own contact info via their profile.
I hate your email/HTML editing tool, it's just horrible.
Can you please give me a way to simply have an email list address to which I can send an email from my favorite email client and it will forward to the membership list? I don't really care about link or open tracking.
Example: send an email to members@mydomain.com. It forwards to all members (or whatever search subset I define when I create the email name "members") anything I send to it.
Actually, after thought, I'd probably need to send it to "members@mydomain.wildapricot.com" or something since you are not my email provider by default, but I'd be fine with that.
Simple to use.
Thanks.
