Support variable price memberships types with minimum base price
Our organization has three different types of membership: individual, business and family. Each of these different types has a minimum base price. Each of these types also have "levels" based on the dues amount the member chooses to pay. (In our case all dues are tax deductible and are treated by the IRS as donations.)
It would be very useful to us if Wild Apricot allowed us to establish a membership type with a minimum required dues (e.g. donation) and then tracked the total donations made by that member during the current year and was able to report the level to the member and others based on the cumulative giving. One item related to this that Wild Apricot should also do is allow a membership dues to be treated as a donation rather than a payment.
For example, to setup a Membership type:
Membership type: Individual
Minimum donation: $50
Dues are treated a Donations: Yes
Renewal Period: 1 Year on January 1
Track total donations for renewal period: Yes
Thresholds for levels:
Basic: $50
Contributor: $100
Sustaining: $250Another membership type could be set up called "Family" similar to above with a different minimum donation and with different level names an thresholds and with the membership allowing bundle members.

Email log usability issues
Hello,
I am using this method to contact you because I lost the email you sent me.Several weeks ago, I partook in one of your customer experience feedback survey. You replied to me to give you more specific information regarding email management within Wild Apricot. Finally, after not following up on it for weeks. I would like to give you specific feedback. Here it is:
First- When I go in email log, it always gives me a search range (dates) that is up to 9 days ago. Thus, I can never see the emails of the day unless I modify the range. Also, if I do a search of emails, the last week does not show up unless I think about changing the range. This is quite frustrating.
Second- when I do a search in email log (same in member list). I write the word I am looking for. The search engine gives me result as I type. Then, I press enter (like any other search engine, pressing enter is now a learned reflex) and ALL THE RESULTS RESET and I lose the info I was looking for. I need to retype the info and restart the search. This is quite annoying.
Third- When I copy/paste information in an email template, the template automatically adds or takes off line spaces. There is no way to fix that with the email template editor. I need to either go play in the HTML or use Pages from Apple and copy/paste from there (for some reason, when copying from Pages, this issue does not happen as much).
Fourth often the font size looks the same in the email editor, but once I send a test email, it is of different size.
Fifth it is quite difficult to add any variety to an email. If I want to add tables, create sub-sections to an email, add pictures in one specific location, all of this is extremely difficult if not impossible without CSS or HTML. This is also true for background colors. The email is divided in multiple sections and even when choosing all background color, only one section is colored (or some section do not get colored). Then, it is a cat and mouse game to try to find the right spot to click on and add colors. This is very frustrating, especially considering the limited amount of background colors available and the necessity to use HEX code to add an interesting color (which means I need to search for the right code).
Thanks for taking the time to ask about how to improve Wild Apricot. I know that most of the feedback given is about small details. However, the functionalities I have described above are available in the great majority of Apps, platforms and websites.

Enable floating calendar
Hi, The calendar view of the calendar widget shows a full year/month starting 01-Jan or the 1st day of the month. Wouldn't it be great especially when reaching the end of the year) that the display be shifted to start with current month/week?
Thank you for your help!11 votes -
IP Address monitoring to keep members from freely sharing membership login info
There's a few services that offer IP address monitoring to ensure paid members aren't freely sharing their membership. This would be helpful for me (I believe Sentry does this)

search tags
How would I add metadata search tags to blog entries (for us they are newsletter articles)? I would like to add synonyms and alternate terms.
Alternatively, what would it take for W.A. to license Googles search engine, which provides much of what I need (PDF search, thesaurus)?

Email & Social Media Intigration
Add powerful email templates to your system with large image upload capability, and integrate social media posting. Should not have to use third-party email providers for email blasting and social media posting. Even if you charge additional $ as an add on to your current product/subscription you should still be offering it as most competitors do. Drip Campaigns is another feature that is very popular. Allows for great communication to clients, members, etc.

Allow additional info on each session of a multi-session event
Many thanks for the multi-event capability in 5.6! We offer classes that typically run 5 or 6 sessions, so it's an excellent enhancement for us. Now we would like to be able to add a short info blurb (maybe a hover note?) to each session to tell a little about what the topic of that session will be.

Event Substitution
Representing our 8 clients:
Add a Substitution function for events which would cancel the first registration, prompt for the substitute's information AND carry over payment information.5 votes -
Provide an option to display the type of registration on the registrants page. Currently it only displays the name
It would be very helpful if on the event registrants listing if the type of registration would be displayed along with the option to display the registration form details including any custom fields added to the registration form. Currently only the name of the person who registered for an event and the number of guests is displayed. We want our members to be able to view the type of registration since we typically offer different registration levels, i.e. competitor vs spectator.

Event multi session hide past sessions
Events.
Repeating past sessions of events still display even though "show past events" is not ticked.
They currently have to be manually deleted from the repeating sessions list.

New prorate option for new applications - charge for the rest of current period AND add new full one
Currently, the system offers two methods to prorate membership dues on new applications. Option one involves prorating the "current" dues assessment to the next renewal period and Option two charges a full dues assessments and provides a "free" extension to the following renewal date.
I would like to have a third option for new member applications. Under this option, the "current" dues assessment would be prorated to the renewal date and add a full dues assessment so that they would be paid to the following dues renewal date (thus avoiding the "free" extension in option 2).
Example: Jan 1st is the renewal date. Application is submitted on Oct 1 in prior year. Dues assessment is $100. Monthly proration option is used.
The calculation for the dues to be charged would be $25 ($100 / 12 mths * 3 mths) for the Oct 1 - Dec 31 period + $100 for the next renewal period = $125.
The problem our organization has is we mostly deal with business members and they generally join in order to get membership rates at our Conferences - which is substantial cost to them. So we find that they join simply to get member rates on the registration fee for the Conference and then don't renew until the next conference two year out. So we find they join and quit and join and quit. Kind of annoying. So having this option would eliminate that behavior and save up a lot of wasted admin effort trying to get them to renew on non-conference years. The programming seems to be there with what you have now, so my hope is it wouldn't take much to add this option. Hope you can do it.

Make typography of emails match typography of the website
When composing emails, the fonts and sizes of the various styles: Heading 1..., body, whatever, don't match the typography set up as the default for the website. So a Heading 1 on the website itself might be Verdana 18 pt Red, but in an email it might be Times Roman (uuggghh!) 18 pt Black.
Could the typography in the Emails match that of the website?
Thanks!

Photo Album - Storage Management or more space
For some organizations the photo albums are essential but difficult to manage. Creatives need the ability to share their works in images, but may not be capable of managing their storage use effectively. And there are no built-in tools for the administrators to monitor or manage storage use effectively.
A quota for storage that could be set at the membership level (and perhaps overridden at the member level for special cases) would help to let members self-manage their storage use.
Reporting of storage use by member would also be of benefit to the administrators. Perhaps there is already a tool that can be used to do this?
Another big help would be automated re-sizing of images uploaded into albums or into the file management interface by editors (similar to thumbnail fields). Perhaps a multiple option scenario could be set up, and the options could each be turned on/off by administrators for non-administrators. This would be especially helpful for members or editors who would like to or need to upload images but are only minimally conversant with their digital camera and may try to upload raw or very large images.

Email Announcements 1-2- and 3 should be copy-able to all 3.
Once you fight through the idiosyncrasies of the WYSIWYG for Announcement 1, you should be able to button-duplicate that to Announcements #2 and #3.
