Major Complaint
Not an idea but a very big complaint !!!! I am incensed with being forced to use your hand picked card card processor. How much money are they paying you , in kickbacks or incentives, to force your clients to use them or pay a 20% penalty??? I just filed the application to consider changing but found out today that using them will totally screw up my accounting system in QuickBooks. Our organization operates on a Cash Basis. When my renewal notices go out, people begin to renew their membership for 2020. That money must be counted in the year of 2020, for the proper operation management of our fiscal year. By using PayPal, I could leave the funds in the PayPal account until January 2nd, then transfer them into our checking account and the annual books are clean and accurate. I understand that I have no control when the funds will be deposited into our account with Affinipay. This will totally screw up our annual reports of funds management.
I think it is unfair, fundamentally wrong and potentially illegal, to force your current clients to make this switch or pay a significant penalty. PayPal is a long standing and universally accepted payment process company that everyone uses. You should allow your current clients to be grandfathered in and not stick the shaft to them. If you want to implement this, apply it to all new customers you acquire. My board has recommended that I look for another such company to [potentially replace you with. I would hope you will reconsider and treat your long time clients a little better and allow for exception to this new policy. I hope to hear back from someone that you have reconsidered this issue.
