  1. Dramatically simplify membership renewal process for members

    This is a request to improve the process for members to renew memberships. Non-Profit organizations depend on memberships and membership renewals for continued funding and advocacy. As a result it’s necessary to repeatedly lobby members to renew, so it’s critical for membership renewals to be a convenient one click process to get to the Pay-Pal screen. Sending members to the home page and requiring a login and password in order to renew membership is inconvenient and cumbersome. We have two requests for improving the process:

  2. Customizing the Term "Bundle"

    Could we have the ability to specify our own name for the word "bundle," wherever it appears in WA?

    When a new member gets into WA for the first time and tries to figure out how it works, having a recognizable term for a bundle would smooth the way.

  3. Bundle membership pricing

    Current behavior:

    Bundle membership pricing policy is is not flexible - administrator can only setup memberhsip fee and bundle limit. No way to setup pricing based on number of people in bundle.

    Desired behavior:

    Add ability to admin to set pricing policy for bundle memberships.For example, we receive feedback from our customers:
    - "...It would be much easier to have a quantity field to compute the number of members for billing... People select the number of members to include in the bundle. The system calculates the invoice amount."

  4. Application for Joint Membership: Both Members Apply with One Application

    The process for applying for joint membership does not work well. The administrator completes the application, but there is nowhere for that person to add their partner or spouse at the time of application. After the main member has been approved, it is near impossible to get that member to add their spouse after the fact, even after I send a personal email asking them to do so.   5. combine event and member registration

    We need to combine an event (our annual conference) with membership application on the same registration page. In other words, as people sign up for the conference, they can click a box to become a member. Part of their $95 fee will be applied to conference registration and part to annual membership. Is that possible?

  7. Membership cards - ability to save more than one template

    The newly available Membership Card functionality is definitely and improvement. What would make it even better? Allow us to create multiple templates that could be filtered by Member Level, or Group Participation. Thanks.

  8. Prorating Membership Level Upgrades

    Discount coupons discussed here are only for new member applications.

    What you are talking about is prorating the membership payment when members change their level - applying unused membership fee and/or reducing the new fee if new membership level is not for a full period. We are working on this - it would be great if you could start a new thread on the wishlist forum to explain how you would like to see it work.

    We have started analysis for this issue, and it seems that key problem is how Wild Apricot handles level changes close to renewal date. The system is currently designed to collect the full new level amount and set renewal date according to new level renewal policy. All prepaid amounts for old levels are disposed. Moreover, since no prorating occurs, the new level might be effective only for a few days.

    As a first step, we suggest to redesign how level change is working and add prorating there:

    - Level would be changed immediately, as now

    - Remaining portion of old membership level payment will be applied to new level

    - For new levels with specific renewal date (e.g. annual levels with renewals Jan 1st) apply the pro-rating settings for new applications:
    - Allow member to pay only a pro-rated amount of the new level fee (e.g. six months before renewal…

    Now it is possible to open member card from personal profile screen in mobile app for members.

  10. Admin to approve membership renewals

    I realize this is a stretch, but our organization wants to require administrator approval not just for new applications, but for renewals.

    For example, we have a discounted rate for full time students. We require that people show evidence they are full time students before we activate their membership. We can control this on the Member Level > New Applications tab with a checkbox under "Membership application review"

    But once they are approved, a year later, they can renew at the same level even if they are no longer eligible for the discount.

    Anyone has a solution for this?

  12. Enhancements for Groups functionality

    In our 2.36 update we have released Groups functionality - ability to organize members into groups - such as 'Board of Directors', 'Volunteer Committee', etc. These groups are independent of membership levels - one group can include members from different levels. These groups can be used to keep track of member participation in committees, restrict access to website pages to a particular group, or for advanced searches and emails.     I keep wanting to love Wild Apricot. But time after time I run into limitations that truly make no sense to me. I am glad that WA instituted some other way than Member Level to limit access to Restricted Pages. That was way too limiting. But the way Groups work to limit access is an all or nothing affair because of the way Group Participation works.

    I would like the option to require members to verify their information is correct when they renew annually. Currently there's no way to force members to even look at their information after they initially inputted it, which may be several years old.

  16. Make it easier for a new member to sign up as part of existing bundle / organization

    A suggestion that I would like to make now is to make it easier for a new member to sign up and be part of an existing bundle. Here is my current workflow, and the problem.

    My organization has individual members, and corporate memberships, which are bundles with 10 possible places, one being the admin.

    As it stand now, when new member signs up, and chooses corporate membership, they are assigned as a new bundle administrator and asked to pay the full corporate membership fee. There is no mechanism to have them be assigned to an existing bundle when they…

  17. Notify admin about new members

    It would be great to have a notice (to the admins) that is in your face when you login and there is a new member. Maybe there is a way to do this and I missed it. Either way, I have to be diligent about checking if there are new members when a pop-up or something at the top of the page that stands out would be better. :) Thanks for listening!

  18. Member referrals

    Also need to integrate referral discounts capability just like Wild Apricot uses. If WA thinks it is good for themselves, they need to integrate for us. I want my members to get a 15% discount for each referral, but I also want them to have their own discount code to pass to their referral so the referral gets the same 15% discount and is encouraged to use the code

  19. Defer payment until application is approval

    I think it would be helpful to have an online application with an option of deferring the membership fee until the applicant has been approved for membership.

    This would allow them to complete an application, which would enter the system as a Pending status. Once they have been approved, and the record is marked as Approved, then they would receive an email requesting that they then pay for the membership.

    Our group has certain guidelines that must be met for membership. There are also other documents (proof of insurance, etc) that must be sent in for review. Once these items…

    For now, this is not something we’re going to change – not sure if ever.
    Workaround to use: create a special “entry” free level to apply to, and close “normal” ones for application. For the entry level, create also a dropdown field where a potential member can choose a level they want to apply to. Add other fields you need to assess the application. When application is successful, your admin is to change membership level to required one and generate membership invoice (membership upgrade invoice). The member will be emailed with the invoice and can pay.

  20. Customize how Member ID is generated

    Is there a way I can designation a "starting number" for the member ID field? For example, if I am setting up a new membership database and I would like our member ID numbers to begin at 500.
