Ability to customize the display of the membership directory
Ability to customize directory result layout. Not just which fields are shown, but HOW they are shown - position, etc.

I agree with the previous 2 comments. I have City, State and zip as 3 separate fields and right now all I can do is show on 3 lines in the column. Has this been resolved? Seems crazy that it can be done with the names but not for anything else

I agree with many of the comments below. It would be nice to be able to select more fields to display rather then limiting to 3 per column.
In our database the Mailing address field is for the street address, then zip code, city, state are in separate fields. By selecting Mailing address in the Directory, it only displays the one line.We also would like the option to output the directory in a PDF file which could be printed in the form of a small booklet.

There is one hard coded option (Last name, First name) that W.A. supports. This allows multiple fields to be concatenated on the same line. So this function can be done but admins cannot define their own concatenations. As an example, we have site #s, none/A/B location and whether Deeded or not. When I had this in one field it would correctly show in the Directory but any time that I would export and sort to look at our database integrity, the sort would correctly work on all sites that did not have A,B and/or Deeded in the field. I have separated these 3 items into separate fields and the export/sort works wonderful (as expected). Now, the best I can do is have these 3 items one 3 different lines in the Directory. Enabling a concatenation operation (code already exists in W.A. application) would combine all onto 1 line. A simple change to Directory Widget let user check or uncheck a box to concatenate the up to 3 items per column you can select.

Another idea for this request - allow limiting the # of members per page to show rather than defaulting to 50 for long lists and 10 for shorter ones. Also allow a member search ONLY without showing any members to start with. That way it's more of a member directory search engine rather than a directory.

Hi, I'm using a member directory widget on our Leadership Team page. I created a Saved Search that only displays members with a Leadership Role in our chapter. My problem is, when I try to customize the list order it has limited options. The order we want is by leadership position, starting with Director, then Director Elect, then other positions. The options I see are limited to asc or dsc for names or titles, which unless I add "A" "B" to the titles, they won't display properly.
It would be very helpful if I could organize which members should display in which order on this list/widget. -

Currently, the way the Directory gadget is set up, the information appearing for members is centered vertically - so that the top lines of the text in the columns don't line up. I think this looks odd and also makes it hard to read. I would like to see the top lines all line up horizontally. When I inquired about this, I was advised to pay for someone to create java script to make this change for our website. It seems to me that this is a change that would benefit ALL users of Wild Apricot so I'd like to see Wild Apricot make this a systematic change.

I'd like to be able to display the directory with different colors, fonts and alignment. But what my organization REALLY needs the ability to print out a member list right from the directory page without having to export it to Excel. We need this feature every month for our member meetings, as well as the nominating process, etc.

We are looking to do that too...we'd like to customize how the results are displayed, for example:
-- to be sectioned by operators and vendors separately?
Would appreciate any feedback on this. Thanks!

Could you explain the meaning of customization in your case? Do you mean color, font, align...?
You can define field position (column) in the results layout. -
