need immediate notification when a member posts in a discussion forum
I recently created a discussion forum and subscribed to it hoping to see when others posted a comment. I now understand that the email notifying me that there has been a post is only generated once per day. I would have thought that it would be more immediate. It would be helpful if those who subscribe could be notified as soon as there is a posting in their forum or in a specific topic. Being notified late at night is counter-productive to having a real-time discussion. Yes, I know that I can periodically check the page for updates but an email notification would be much better. Thanks.

Discount or Coupon Codes for Store Purchases
We would like the ability to give a discount or coupon code to new members to be applied to store purchases. This would be an incentive for new members to purchase merchandise with our logo. Currently, you only offer discount or coupon codes to be applied to events and memberships. Specifically, I would like to give a $5 or $10 coupon code which members can apply during check out.

Additional Fields on the "Who's Registered" page
Option to surface additional registrant information on the "See Who is Registered" page. Our club has different fleets (groups) that they sign up for, but you can't tell who has signed up for what, only that they signed up.

Event Registration Suggestions
Keep registration open shortly After the start time of an event so that individuals can register themselves after the start time if they arrive late. It would be nice if attendees had an easy way to check themselves in upon arrival at event. Also, allow emails to still be sent through an event after the event date/time - sometimes we like to send followup emails and it's just easier to send it that way without having to go through extra steps.

event sold out
If event is sold out, and waitlist not enabled, do not send out further scheduled announcement emails.
If event is sold out and waitlist IS enabled, send out message with a waitlist notification embedded in the message below the registration link.

Catalog Free-form Text Variant
One of the items in our catalog is for name badges. But there does not seem to be an option to add a free-form text box. Some members order multiple badges with nicknames or first name vs first & last names.

Membership Past Performance Reports Needed!
Wild Apricot needs to find a way to capture membership numbers from the past. A past performance report has been requested by 2 of our clients. Again, Memberclicks offers this feature. I know this because one of our other clients uses that system. Please advise me of a way to do this if I am wrong.

Notify registrants with Event cancellation
Event cancellation.
You should have a tab to select that allows to cancel the event and auto generate an email (template that you can edit) to all who registered.

Default email routing in Event settings
Automatically check "Copy emails according to email routing settings" by default similarly to Organization contact in Event settings instead of having to check it every time

Self-service to clone a website
Currently cloning a Wild Apricot website requires intervention from WA support. While the service around cloning is usually pretty quick, it may be of benefit to administrators to be able to clone a website on your own without Wild Apricot support. This sort of functionality may be granted only to partners or to trusted customers, but in general cloning has the following benefits:
cloning is useful when doing a redesign of a website. Cloning a site and applying theme ideas can be easily done without needing to modify the core platform
creating a "template" website could be useful when creating multiple chapter sites from a template site.
A clone process should allow the following "parameters"
- administrative email of site
- the domain name of new site
- the organization details (address, time zone)
- particular billing parametersThe cloning process should allow certain pieces of the site to be cloned (and not others):
- the website pages/templates,
- the database configuration with levels and fields,
- events,
- online store configuration
- newsletter templates
- which specific accounts beyond 1 administrator
- administrative assignments
- colours/style parameter of the theme to be cloned
- an organization logo which could be assigned at the site level into the theme
The cloning process should NOT allow the introduction of new content in anyway.
It would be nice to "batch" this process to allow multiple clones to be generated at one time.

Tags improvement
Event tags are too easily added by anyone setting up an event (BBQ, cookout, kitchen, etc) Having them pre-setup in preferences, so that event creators (select not add) from a system list would correct this. We currently have over 50 tags and cannot delete them without going back thru previous events and removing errant superfluous tags.

Event Guests - Split into Adult and Child where pricing can be different
Split Guest field into two... make it "Adult" Guests and "Child" guests where pricing can be different... Even Better, it would be great if you made these into organization defined fields to use where we have control. i.e Adult Guests:30$, Kids 5-12: 10$ and Babies 5 and under: Free... Most Organizations have to deal with families. :)
cheers, john

Custom fields expire independent of event registration expiration.
It is common when holding events to have the purchase or ordering of some aspects of an event to close before overall registration of the event. For example, we offer T-shirts to be ordered with each registration, but the T-shirt orders must be submitted to our vendor two weeks prior to the event. Another example are tickets for our banquet. It would be very helpful if we could set an expiration date for custom fields that is separate from the expiration of the overall registration. Thanks

Some fields should be viewable in Directory but NOT editable by Members
There are valid reasons why some field(s) might be required to be visible for each member (in Directory) but not allowing the Member to edit that field(s). One example are site locations (like we use) where the physical location cannot be changed ever but the owner might sell to a new owner. Owner still cannot change the site #.
Same for Stock shares that purchased when a home is sold. That specific share # never changes.
We do not have Membership #s like other orgs (ours are share/site#) but I would assume these like Employee badge #s would not be editable.
I wish admins could dictate which fields can be edited and also which ones can be viewed. There are fields that Members should not be able to edit but can be viewed.

Login Freedom
It would be great if we had the ability to change login credentials from email to something else. We have a long standing association that is moving from one platform to Wild Apricot and they have been using a particular number to login. Since this system does not have that ability it will cause great confusion for the membership.

Daily membership
I'd like to see a daily membership option added. My application for the software is a little different than most but I do see a few similar requests and it doesn't seem like it would be that difficult to add that option. Thanks

renewal policy settings
I really need a setting for Renewal Policy of Membership Levels that allows me to say payment does not have to be received before Membership is approved. (as there is in the New Member Application)
