Better Event Registrations Workflows
Workflow is pretty bad. The developers should sit down with a client local to you an actually try to check in people. You have to enter information twice and getting back to the event list is a round-a-bout gesture. It've very inefficient and time consuming.
Things like address and names should be passed through to the payment page when accepting credit cards.

Registration Confirmation Email Modification
I have a member who would like to see her name and well as her guest's name on the registration confirmation email. When she only saw her name she worried that her guest had somehow not been registered.

Sign up for subcategory in event
The ability to sign up for specific items within an event, especially when there are limited spots available for each item (for example: a pot luck dinner or when 30 people can attend a session, but must break out into smaller groups of 6 people to tour specific interest)

List all event attendees individually on the Attendance Reports
Attendance reports that list every person registered individually so there is no need to export to Excel and create a separate registration list for use at the Registration Table for Check-In.

Schedule event emails by specific date and time, not by number of days before event
We schedule event eblasts to go out on Tuesdays at set intervals before an event. Currently I have to count back from the event date to the desired Tuesday, which is very hard on my aging brain.
Can recurring event emails be scheduled according to date, with that nifty little calendar tool, instead of having to figure out how many days before the event?
Thanks!

Event Calendar
I wish the current month’s events still showed, even with unclicking “Show past events” (I don’t want to see a years’ worth of past events, but I would like to maintain the full calendar for the current month.)

Prompt lapsed members to renew at event registration
When registering for an event with membership-restricted registration:
- a member is prompted to log in even though they don't have to
- a non-member is prompted to become a member (good!)
- a lapsed member is given the unfriendly message "Event registration is not available for [your email address] due to event settings". They are NOT prompted to renew, or offered any way to proceed at all!
Please make this consistent for lapsed members and prompt them to log in and renew so they can register for the event.

Session registration within an event
Allow event participants to select specific sessions they wish to attend in a multi-session event (e.g. conference). Alternatively, allow the direct routing from the registration page to an online survey tool where we can ask those questions.

Flexible event organiser notifications
Event notifications to different contacts. We host many events with many different organisers and I have limited options as to who can receive these emails. A tick box option from the list of contacts would bring ultimate flexibility for any event organised by any one.

Display of multi-session events on Calendar-list view
I want to suggest that on the Calendar-list view multi session events be listed in order of the next session date and not on the order of the first session date, because it makes ir very hard to find the upcoming events for the week or month. In our case we have many events occurring on a weekly basis and it is really confusing to sort through events based on the first session date.

Customize the Attendance Report
When printing a registration attendance list, allow us to choose what fields to print. Having the membership type is not a useful field for an event attendance list. But having a contact email or phone number is.

Select event registrants to receive tailored emails
I would like to see check boxes added to event registrants so that I can pick and choose who I want to send an event update email to. I often like to send a tailored message to a group of people within the larger group of people registered (such as sponsors, senior people or people from a particular organisation). At the moment I can only email everyone or I have to send emails to each one individually by searching their name and then emailing. A quick glance through the list and check people who i want to receive the email…

Allow additional info on each session of a multi-session event
Many thanks for the multi-event capability in 5.6! We offer classes that typically run 5 or 6 sessions, so it's an excellent enhancement for us. Now we would like to be able to add a short info blurb (maybe a hover note?) to each session to tell a little about what the topic of that session will be.

Macro for remaining registrations
I'd like a macro for the # of open spots for an event. I have some events that are limited to 10 people. It would be great if the announcement emails could include the number of open spots left so that people would know to hurry up and register.

Build registration for events so that Members do not see General admission and overpay
When my members log on and go to register for an event, they see the member rate that applies, but they also see the general public rate. (I assume they see that because it is open to nonmembers and so the system shows it to everyone.)
And inevitably a handful of members blindly click the general public rate. In which case, I have to contact them and refund their money and then step them through another registration. Very time-consuming.
Is there a way, (I'm recalling that there are very clever ways to limit the results in search while looking at…9 votes
