Event Dev
Creating an event is more difficult than it needs to be and the results are less than optimum.
1 - It isn't exactly WYSIWYG. The area for an event is not shown precisely as designed when displayed live.
2 - Because of the design constraints resulting from the system generated block of event details the content describing the event extends too far down the page forcing the visitor to scroll more than necessary.
Here is a link to a sample event page:https://waee.wildapricot.org/event-3162135
I have attached a picture of the event page as is today that includes a potential solution…

More collaborative approach to Events
Any member of the bicycle club can easily post a ride to the event calendar, much like creating a topic on the forum.
The ride leader would simply click a "gadget icon", enter the ride description, date and time of the event, and post it. The event would automatically send email notifications and contain a link to the forum. The email recipients and timing of the email blasts could be configured by Admin via a system or template page.
The ride leader could create a forum topic, and in that topic insert links to the start location on Google Maps,…

Convert a simple event to an advanced event
It would be nice to have the ability to convert a simple event to an advanced event if you start a simple event and realize you need the advanced functionality of the advanced event. Sometimes it’s chosen mistakenly or sometimes you realize you need more functionality and it would be nice

Identify event registrants who are not receiving event-related emails
We need a way to identify event registrants who are not receiving emails. We distribute important information about upcoming events.
Currently, if I prepare an email to go to the group of registrants, there may be some who are "excluded because contact is archived, has disabled emails, or has opted out." I don't have a way to find out which recipients fit in that category without going through each recipients email settings. I can't even export the list of people who have received it to compare against the people registered for the event.

Change Field Type in Event Forms
I'd like to be able to update form types after the form has been saved. For example, if a field type is saved as multiple choice but then during testing we realize it should be a radio button, currently I have to create a new field and delete the old one instead of just editing the type of the existing field.

Limit event count by total n umber os seats
We need to be able to limit registrations by the total numbert of seats available. So we have a "Member Couple" registration, which is for 2 seats, and a "Single Member" which is 1 seat. We also need to be able to include Guests in the total number of seats, as well as a count of Children.

Make event announcement emails work the same as registration reminder emails
I get a direct increase in the number of attendees (my objective for each of my weekly events) when I can send a specific announcement email for that event. My members are regulars and don't want to and don't have to have to register for the events they want to come to, it wastes their time. The events are specific that week and don't follow a sequence but because of the way you have things set up, to be able to send an announcement ahead of time, for each event that week, I have to input 13 events a week…

System-Generated Certificates after event attendance
Generated certificates with automated distribution upon event conclusion (with verified attendance).
118 votesDmitry Smirnov respondedWe just launched integration with Integromat platform, which helps to build automated workflows. We also provide several templates for quick start, and one of them demonstrates how to send event attendance certificates as professionally looking PDF files.
You can try the integration by this link https://www.integromat.com/en/integration/2303-send-pdf-certificate-to-event-attendees

Custom fields for events
We would like to have custom fields for events.
We use Wild Apricot for course registration and need to be able to identify the instructor. Currently, we use the description field, but we don't have a way of creating a report that includes the instructor along with the event title and related data.10 votes -
adding event registrations later under same email
Members who have logged in to the site and registered for an event cannot return later and add more people to their registered party under that email. It'd be great if you could add that functionality.

We need an integrated Pot Luck sign up for Events.
We need an integrated Pot Luck sign up for Events. We are a social club and have several groups where you have to sign up for what dish you are bringing or whether you are bringing appetizer or dessert. Currently we are using Perfect Potluck.com and like how it works but members get messed up moving to the separate site to register and when cancellations occur, someone has to remember to go cancel the dish registration. email if I can help in any way with more information.

Make view waitlist available for site visitors
Ability for members to view the waitlist like they can view the registration list. They want to know how many people are on it and what number they are. (this is separate from functionality associated with waitlist and cancellations). It is just to view.

calendar
Would like ability to print calendars from the website so that members can print by any of the views. Seems crazy to have NO print button. Pretty much the entire site has NO print buttons anywhere. (invoices on profiles, etc) Right now our only option to print the entire website page.

show registration on event list change default to "show"
Currently the default for showing a participant on the waitlist is set to Not Show them. We can change it in the Event details page for each event. But it still won't show waitlisted people who are moved over to the registration list unless we manually uncheck those individual people while they are on the waitlist (or after if we miss that). This is more important now that the new automatic transfer from waitlist to registered is implemented. Love not having the manual work to transfer waitlisted people over, but we still have manual work to make them show. This…

List of Events by Event Organizer
It would be great to be able to view all events that were organized by a particular member in:
a) the admin panel (Contacts>[Member]>Events)
b) a personal profile
c) a public profile, if the Member chooses
d) via a gadget (e.g. events calendar with organizer filter)This way admins can easily view suborganizations' event activity, and other members can easily find events hosted by a particular suborganization.

Event registration discounts and guest limits
This is sort of a combination of several features other people have requested before (event discounts, guest registration limits). The scenario is that we have 4 membership levels: Gold, Silver, Bronze, Standard. There are several banquet events per year to which members can bring guests. Depending on level, the member is allowed a defined number of FREE guests as well as a defined number of additional guests at a guest rate.
For example:
Gold members attend for free, plus they can bring up to 4 free guests, plus up to 4 additional guests at a rate of $25 each.
Silver…

Waitlist Number on Event List Summary Page
Could you please add the Waitlist Number to the Event List summary page under Attendance. Great that you have Unpaid + Paid. Would be helpful to know how many waiting to see if I need to open another session. Thank you, Dena

Event not involving registration, show on the event details 'Registered: Nobody'.
Events not involving registration, show on the event details 'Registered: Nobody'. Can this say something like 'Not applicable' instead because Nobody implies registration ought to be available and does confuse some people.
