Tags for blog
Yes i ditto that--we need to have tags available for our blog posts. This is a basic feature of blogs now that greatly improve the user experience as well as one to rank in google for keywords/tags.

Future-dating blog posts
I would like to have a feature added to the Blog module.
In many cases, I will write several blog posts at once, though I would like to have them post in different dates in the future. I am able to do this on blogspot and it is really handy if you want to set up regular posts, reminder posts, etc. and keep the action going!
Would you consider that the blog-post would only post on the (activate) day that is used in the top of each post?

Ability to manually enter author name on blog posts
It would be nice to be able to indicate an author of a post who might be different from the person entering it. Our blog is moderated by one person, but many contribute content. It would look much better and give credit where it is due if the post carried the actual author's name.

Add eMail Subscription Feature to Blog Pages
I like the forum subscription service. It woudl be great to be able to link this to blog -posts as well. In our organization, members post their own media releases and announcements on the site through the blog feautre. However, they only get distributed to the mailing list once a month or so. Being able to assure members their postings are distributed immediately would be a great addition to the value proposition.

Use blog title for URL
Currently blog article's URL is numeric based. This makes it unreadable for people who you share the link with and this is not good from SEO point of you. The URL has to use blog title.

Allow for saving draft versions of blog post
I don't see a way to save a draft version of a blog post that I might be working on. As a result one need to make the post live even though you might need to make several revisions over a period of time to get it just right and truly ready for posting.

Blog Post Triggers Email Blast
It would be efficient to have the option when a blog post is created to automatically email the content of the blog post to the email group that has subscribed to blog updates. Currently, an email has to be manually generated. Thanks.

Blog post and comments moderation
Is there a way to "accept comments" before they post directly to our blog? We want to let the public comment without having to be a member but at the same time want to ensure that none of the content being posted is inappropriate.

Blog Enhancements
Blogs can be a versatile tool for posting news and announcements. A number of features have been suggested to enhance this but they are scattered around the Wishlist. Perhaps they should be consolidated?
- The one I would like is the ability for the Recent Blog Posts gadget to include the full blog post for the first few. So in addition to the "Show last 5 posts" setting there would be "Show full text of last 2 posts." This would show the last 2 posts in full, and the next 3 in summary. Blog Features
It would be VERY helpful to our members if we had a search feature for the blog posts! Additionally, the ability to schedule posts would be nice for the post author.
Also, I've read from earlier threads that Google Feedburner could be utilized by members to subscribe to posts via email. Is that still operational?

Meta tags for blog posts (specifically open graph for Facebook)
I manage the articles of my magazine under the functional blog page. Individual blogs are not editable under page management. I want to insert meta tags for each individual post, specifically Open Graph tags so that my articles can be shared with the correct title and description and not the overall title and description of the functional page. Any meta tags or OG tags I insert in the html of the blogs become erased when I save the html code after the system "cleans up html coding". Has any one else had this problem or would know of any way…

Change a Blog author
Blogs - it would be good to be able to change the author of a blog. I function as the editor and post the blog but I am not the author. My work around is putting the author's name at the top of the post, but it would be better if I did not appear as the author. Could you change so that we could input the author's name OR change the word author to editor? Thanks

Show new messages / comments since last login
Our forums are languishing because our members say there's no easy way to tell what conversations are active. We need a search function at the top of the forum that includes things like:
-recent posts
-active topics
-unanswered posts
Basically, the forums need a major upgrade in order to be useful. The only reason we haven't moved to a different forum software is because we want to maintain one login for our members.

Big Improvements to Blog widget
Update the blog preview gadget to allow scaled thumbnails, as well as more characters in the actual preview of the text.
Update the blog gadget itself so that administrators can list someone in the "by line" without changing the CSS, and make the posts so that you can save them to publish later (even with you select that you want to publish a posts several days later on the calendar, it posts anyhow - it doesn't work like it should.) Finally, make blog posts so that they can be sent out in a blast email without having to sign up…

Autoarchive function for Blog Posts
We use the blog function to post news items for our members and other site visitors. We currently have a very long collection of posts that should be deleted so they are not visible. It would be helpful to have the ability to select multiple posts at one time to delete or archive them all.
Alternatively, if there was a setting in the Blog gadget that enabled us to select 15/30/60/90 day autoarchiving rule, then these posts would automatically disappear into archive at the designated time. This would be a great help in terms of administrative time needed to otherwise…

A Robust Blog Feature
Blog Widget. I'm used to Wix or Square that can be easily shared on social media. This Wild Apricot feature is not robust enough to draft articles, see it in full page form and link individual stories into a newsletter. Any chance there will be some focus on this feature soon? Allow to customize blog post summary (teaser) size
Web space is a premium and managing the space is a vital element of more content. Currently posting a blog posts text up to 10 lines and offers the read more option. If we can limit the opening post to a more concise presentation to say 5 lines or less it forces us to be more content rich with our opening line and we can register more read more clicks. The strategy is not to tell too much in ten lines, but just say enough in 5 lines or less so our users are prompted to read more.

Be able to add small pictures in title of blog
Add the ability to put a small picture (of author) in the title of blog. Many RSS readers use this picture to link Rss stories.
