Big Improvements to Blog widget
Update the blog preview gadget to allow scaled thumbnails, as well as more characters in the actual preview of the text.
Update the blog gadget itself so that administrators can list someone in the "by line" without changing the CSS, and make the posts so that you can save them to publish later (even with you select that you want to publish a posts several days later on the calendar, it posts anyhow - it doesn't work like it should.) Finally, make blog posts so that they can be sent out in a blast email without having to sign up for them (RSS) or have to copy/paste them into an email template, etc.

I'm with ya Steven. Sadly we recently had to leave WildApricot because of lagging improvements and flexibility in adapting elements of their platform. What they did do generally worked well for us (especially membership record management), but we just had to have more flexibility to design our site around us instead of adapting what we do to meet the website's format. It took us a few months but now we are on a WordPress site that offers so much more functionality. I really hated leaving WildApricot, but like you I waited years to see advancements and nothing really came. Changing the "look" of the WA admin was a waste of time and resources in my opinion. They should have put their efforts into adding functionality and the ability for more customization in their gadgets and pages. I tried emailing my recommendations and participating in WA's forums but the things I needed never advanced. Good luck to you!

No improvement here over five years. Just what does the Wild Apricot development staff work on? Minor tech issues rather than seriously in demand customer features?
Yes please. The index to the WA blog gadget is not nice looking. I often put a photo at the top of my blog articles (which I can neither customize like the email editor nor a regular web page). These show up in the blog index as a partial picture above text and looks like doo-doo.

This would be a huge improvement for us too! We rely heavily on our blogs as we are more of a publishing business than a membership site. WA blogs offer us the advantage of maintaining several blogs on our site, but the functionality is a bit cumbersome. For example, since we can't enter author names manually, we have had to create "fake" accounts so author names can be automatically logged. An advanced preview would be a huge bonus and gets my vote!
