Autoarchive function for Blog Posts
We use the blog function to post news items for our members and other site visitors. We currently have a very long collection of posts that should be deleted so they are not visible. It would be helpful to have the ability to select multiple posts at one time to delete or archive them all.
Alternatively, if there was a setting in the Blog gadget that enabled us to select 15/30/60/90 day autoarchiving rule, then these posts would automatically disappear into archive at the designated time. This would be a great help in terms of administrative time needed to otherwise delete each post individually.

We have a news blog going back to 2008 with 140 pages of posts! A bulk "delete before date" or even a delete by page would be a great help.

This would help us. We use a blog gadget on our home page to publicize upcoming events. We can order them by changing the post date.
It would be great to be able to set a delete date so an event disappears right after it happens.

Set blog postings to expire or archive on a specific date and time.

I would like to have the option to archive old blog posts as well, both manually and automatically.
For example, we use the blog module to post job openings on our website for our members. I would like to be able to set the number of days that the job posting is visible after which it would be automatically archived and hidden.
I would also like to have the option to manually archive the blog post before the set date if the job is no longer available and unarchive the blog post if our member wants to extend the posting.

Sorry for a long reply - this is still in queue and small chances to have it in 2011.
Note also related post http://forums.wildapricot.com/forums/308932-wishlist/suggestions/8826364-future-dating-blog-posts-5011 about future-dated posts.

We have a job announcement that is due by Dec. 3, and this is a regular type of thing that we post to our members (could be a scholarship deadline, a call for abstracts, etc - all of which has a deadline). It would be a huge time saver to be able to list a date after which the post is no longer visible or even automatically deleted. This would also help our site to look fresh even if we are not updating it :)
Here is example: http://arabicstudiesonline.org/announcements
Thanks!

No, this is not possible now but it looks like a good idea so I move it to our Wish list forum.
And can you please give more details on what you are trying to achieve? It's not common to remove blog posts so I'd would really want to know more of what is behind that.

Searched but cannot find if this is possible, we have an announcement with a deadline and would love for the blog post to automatically be hidden or deleted the day after the deadline.
