   It is totally possible. In order to use your custom domain as a source of emails, please configure a custom domain in website settings and add SPF record in your DNS settings.

3. Add export in Excel XLS format and/or CSV

   Current behavior:
   Wild Apricot uses XML Spreadsheet format forimport and export. It can be opened in MS Excel 2003 and higher orExcel for Mac 2004 or higher. It also can be opened in some free Officesoftware like StarOffice.

   Desired behavior:
   Using 'old' XLS format instead to be compatible with old version of Microsoft Excel and other spreadsheet software.

4. Prioritize Test Emails Ahead of "Final" Email Blasts

   From time to time, there are delays in receiving emails sent through Wild Apricot. In a perfect world, this would not happen but it is understandable as there will be times of high volume.

   If, however, test emails were prioritized higher than "final" email blasts, we could review emails and get them sent and move on to another task knowing that this task was complete (even though members may be waiting to receive it).

   As it is, the administrator must wait as long (it seems) as an email blast for each test to come through before making additional edits or sending on to their membership.

   The result is at best, inefficiency of work and a further delay in members receiving the information and at worst, forgetting to go back and send the email to the membership.

   From time to time, there are delays in receiving emails sent through Wild Apricot. In a perfect world, this would not happen but it is understandable as there will be times of high volume.

   This issue was fixed a few months ago. Have you noticed any delays in sending test email during last couple of months?

5. Event end date calendar should start from start date

   Once you enter a start date for an event the calendar for the end date should start on the same date. This would reduce scrolling through the better part of a year when entering dates in Nov and Dec.

6. Waitlist enable / disable status is not clear for registration types

   Wait list granularity is great.
   However, it would be nice if the user interface made things clear. Because right now, they're not. UI tweaks can solve a world of headaches.

7. Provide option to turn off Stripe email receipts

   We're using Stripe for payments. When a member pays, they get two redundant email receipts, one from Wild Apricot and another from Stripe. I would like you to provide an option to disable the Stripe email receipts, because 1) they are redundant and noisy, 2) they can't be customized like WA email receipts, and 3) they can't be turned off from with Stripe.

   I've not tested any of the other payment systems, but I think it would be good to provide this option, in general, so all of the email confirmations can be controlled from with Wild Apricot.

   We won’t force sending payment receipts anymore starting from 5.12.2 release. You can control this yourself in Stripe notifcation preferences or use WA payment receipt instead.

8. Add a linkable button gadget

   A linkable button as a gadget would be very helpful. It is difficult figuring out the html code to embed if you are not already fluent in code. I would honestly put buttons all over my site.

9. Alternate payment options for members

   I am using PayPal for membership dues payments. Some of my members
   object to using PayPal online and want to send check or call in with a
   card. I am forced to do one or the other but it is a pain when I have to
   go outside the system for a payment. In my store I am able to set up an
   alternate payment system that remains in my cart and allows the customer
   to select • credit card payment and the next page only shows spaces for
   name, card #, expiration, etc. This they do not mind because PayPal is
   not on the page.

   I do not see a way to set up an alternate method of payment with
   Wildapricot. Can this be done?

   In my store I use WePay and it was done in the store admin area in about
   2 minutes. Now the shopper can choose PayPal or choose Credit Card
   (which is WePay).

   You can setup PayPal Pro payments and then your members will be able to enter their credit card on special Wild Apricot (not PayPal) page – see https://help.wildapricot.com/display/DOC/PayPal+Payments+Pro?from=aQ2qB
   As far as I understand, this will solve your problem – while internally either payment will still be processed via PayPal.

10. Photo albums. Next and prev. scrolling through large images

    Photo albums. Next and prev. scrolling through large images. Is there a way to have the album scroll through the large images without displaying the whole page? Currently, if there is any text at the top, in a context gadget above the album next and prev scrolling causes the window to jump so that the text needs to be displayed again. This causes the next and prev scrolling to jump and requires scrolling down (again and again).

    Which just launched a new Photo Gallery gadget in 7.14 version, that has a more modern UI and, I believe, solves these issues.

11. Non-attendance button

    We run a very particular club with strict membership requirements. Due to the nature of our club and restrictions placed upon us by contractual arrangements, we require our members to tell us if they are not coming to events, so we can plan, cater and capture costs accordingly.

    At the moment we are trying to achieve this via a non-attendance forum, which our members hate. A 'non-attendance' button (or non-attendance registration that does not generate an invoice) would be fantastic!

12. Adding recurring events (events with sessions) into my calendar

    Event detail view has a serious flaw. When using the "Add to my calendar" for recurring events. Either outlook, or your web module does not work. 2 hour individual events recurring on each wednesday of the week over a period of several months, now show up as events that are no longer on individual days but are spread into a continuous event of several months. Suggest you remove the "Add to my calendar" option.

13. Easy test of email's links before sending blast

    Easy way (or automatic) to test an email's links before sending. And when the link is to an event, indicate what event it currently links to. When I look at the link code, I see an event number. When I look at Edit Link, I see a list of events, the one corresponding to that number is NOT highlighted. So I choose the correct event again, just in case. That's a loop. (Yes, I do send myself a test before a blast. That's how I discovered I'd linked to the wrong event. Now, because I can't SEE the results of my repair, I have to send yet another test. Sigh.

14. Not show member level on member registration

    When a user is registering as a member:
    • Hide fees
    • Hide subscription period
    • Hide recurring payments

    These should all be options. When you have a volunteer organization, each of these is off-putting. We need to be able to imagine these elements, however volunteers are put-off that there might be payments or that they might expire as a volunteer. Please create options to hide these.

    This is totally possible now:
    - create a membership level like “Volunteer”, set price $0 and renewal period “Never”
    - create a web page add a “Membership application” gadget there
    - in gadget settings, choose only this level

    When you do so, the application form won’t show any price or period of time.

15. Filter admin Event list

    Current list of events shown for an administrator is very long. It's not a big problem for organization with a few events, but when there are 1000+ of them, it's hard to navigate and search for the one you need. We've received a number of complains about this and decided to create a wishlist suggestion on behalf of all these requests.

16. Duplicate pages in "pages not in menu"

    Hi, here is another random thing. Please don't hate me (it's OK if you hate me =D I understand).

    For "menu pages" you have a very easy way to duplicate the page and this is extremely convenient and useful. However I just noticed you cannot do this for "pages not in menu." It would be convenient to be able to do the same thing with ALL pages.

    Use “Add page” button, hit triangle on it and see “Duplicate” option. It works for both in-menu and not-in-menu pages.

17. Event invoice macro for event confirmation email

    I wish we had a macro code for event invoice number that we can include in the event confirmation.

    We want to make the event confirmation email an email ticket and all looks good except for having no ticket/invoice number.

    We have a macro for the url of the invoice details so providing a macro for the invoice number is not a big ask. See screen shot attached:

    The Invoice URL macro already presented for all event email templates, including event confirmation email.

18. add mc_fee to payment allocations API

    I see that Wild Apricot logs the transaction fee that Paypal charges - it shows up in the Audit log for a payment as "mcfee". I need this field to be available via API so I can accurately allocate transactions in our accounting system. Can you please add the mcfee field to the Payment Allocations v2 API call?

    I am surprised that you spent so much time on changing the interface for emails. This was unexpected. I understood and accepted the fact the fact that you had to invest time and money into the architecture of this product to be able to provide features to your customers at a higher quality and a faster time to market. I would like to understand how this area was chosen to be redesigned over all of the other items on our wish list? This area only impacts the administrators of the system. I am not sure you advanced this area at long. Takes more steps and I don't see any significant improvements.

    A simplified event would have been an awesome surprise to many of us. Even something like allowing a member to cancel their reservation to free event. Or allowing a member to quickly so No, I dont want to come, so that they aren't bombarded with registration emails. Very disappointed in the lastest release. I could get past the downtime issues you had, but am disappointed that this enhancement was chosen over the others. Not sure why you are asking for feedback and preferences from your customers and we are surprised when the new app hits our website with little or no time to communicate to our users.

    To a positive, your help desk has been patient and quite helpful.

    Hi Katheryn!

    Let me start from appreciating your feedback – it takes time to write down comments and I value it a lot.

    I also share your frustration about “Not sure why you are asking for feedback and preferences from your customers” – I can see that you’ve been using our Wishlist forum a lot, voted for a number of ideas. You’ve spent time on it, and you want to see some results back from us. Not seeing good enough progress creates an impression that we’re doing nothing and basically are lying that we want to hear our customers. I can totally understand this and as I said, I do share your frustration about this.

    Having said this, let me share some internal details that may clarify our position – or may not :)

    As you mentioned, we “had to invest time and money into the architecture of this product to be able to provide features to your customers at a higher quality and a faster time to market”. But this was not the only investment we did. A bigger investment was into our internal company structure and processes around Wild Apricot software development.

    We used to have a single team of engineers doing development, testing, deployments and all other works related to software development and maintenance. In this setup, we had a single person (Product Manager – me, and before me – our president, Dmitri) who was responsible for general product roadmap and prioritization of features. This was working for some time, but not great for a number of reasons I cannot really quickly share here. Overall, we saw that we had hit some ceiling and we cannot make a major breakthrough in our internal growth and as a result, we cannot deliver to our clients what they want and what we want as well.

    Over a year ago we started a big change – we grew a lot and reorganized our development teams into a set of smaller teams, each of them focusing on particular area of our product. This was happening at the same time as we were doing this architecture change you mentioned. Both changes have been very stressful for all of us, as it was not just about some issues in software, but changes in very basic business collaboration processes creating a lot of confusion inside our global team.

    The biggest change was creation of independent product development teams (we call them crews) that are totally focused on particular product areas – like Event management, Emailing, Website, Membership, Payments and Finances, Mobile. Plus a number of other service teams that are helping with a numerous internal product services and tasks. Each of product teams is totally responsible for the whole area, including collaborating with customers to better understand needs and share preliminary results of their work.

    As of now, I can say that the teams are in a more or less in a good state and starting to recover from all the “investments”. It is still stressful and we’re not doing the best we can, but I clearly see that we’ve been able to create a scalable business structure where each crew, independently, can evolve their part of the product experience. There are still a number of internal issues we want to solve, but I’m sure it’s going to be ok over time.

    Now, going back to the problem you mentioned.

    Our email development team is one of the teams I mentioned. They are focused on this area only and this was their “debut”. Wether it’s successful or not, I don’t really want to comment here, there a number of reason why they did that. And even if it was not the best shot, I’m very confident that they will listen and improve.     As for events, another development team is fully focused on improving this area. I would say that they are still warming up and recovering from all the internal work we’ve been doing so far, but they getting better and already working on some changes that will be done in Q4 and much more next year. I do agree with you, that events is a very important area and we’re dropping the ball here a little, but with all above I feel confident about the future. We will cover all the major request in events, no doubt about this.

    The last thing I want to mention: wishlist is our top priority for product roadmap. I’m personally, as a Product Manager, having constant ongoing discussions with all development teams to make sure that we’re having progress over top requested features. I really hope that the big change we’ve been investing a lot, will show some ROI over time. Wether it’s happening or not, we will see from the reaction of valued clients like you. So far it’s not been reality, but I do hope it’s turning into the right direction now.

    To put in a nutshell all above

    • I share your frustration
    • It’s been hard time for Wild Apricot, a lot of internal restructuring, not just architecture
    • We have multiple independent team dedicated on areas of product
    • Some of them are faster (like Emailing), some slower (like Events), but we’re speeding up
    • We believe that all the changes were required and soon we’re going to see results of it

20. User ID field: Give Option to be Admin Access Only

    Currently, members see the Wild Apricot assigned User ID in their profile. I understand why it's important for the database, but showing it to the members is confusing for them, especially for organizations whose members already have a different type of ID #. First Name is a system field too, but it has the option "For administrator access only." Please add this option to User ID. Currently the only way to hide it is using CSS to set the display to none, but I cannot target the row for User ID in the Privacy area where members determine what to show others on their profile (there's no unique class or ID for the row). I'd also like to hide Membership Level from the Privacy tab, as I don't want members to share this information.
