  1. New admin role: Communications (i.e. sending emails)

    Current features:
    There is no role specific to communications.

    Desired features:
    An admin role that has limited access to everything except the tools/lists required to send emails and other communications.

  2. Include Event ID Field to export file

    Right now - when exporting the attendance list for an event - the Event Name is exported -that and the date are the only fields that identify the event.
    The issue is that we offer the same 'event' name/description multiple times - so w/o a unique eventID - it is difficult to to do reporting outside of WildApricot and distinguish between the various offerings of the same event

  3. Enforce stronger member passwords

    When a password is generated by the application, it seems quite secure. However, when people change their passwords, they usually don't make them as secure as they should be. Is there a way to reject a new password if it isn't secure? Or provide a "meter" that shows just how secure their new password really is so that they can reevaluate their choice? I know of some Javascript coding for this purpose (http://javascript.internet.com/passwords ), but I'm not sure if it's possible to use any of it in a CMS environment like yours.

  5. My business is for-profit. What tools do you have for me?

    Everything I read from WA -seminars, webinars, summit - are all geared toward non-profits. How many of your customers are for-profit? My organization is, so I always feel like the non-profit webinars might be irrelevant to me. Are you missing a whole niche like my business who isn't non-profit?

    We do have a number of for-profit orgs. using Wild Apricot. I’m afraid I do not know the exact number.

    Good point about perhaps expanding the scope of our content to serve for-profit needs.

    I’ll pass that on to our content team.

  7. Formatting HTML

    I like to format my HTML to a greater degree than you do. My formatting doesn't "stick," however. So my suggestion is to allow my formatting to remain, if it does not violate any HTML rules.

  8. Update slideshow gadget so that it works on mobile

    Would be great if the built-in slideshow gadget worked on mobile devices. On my iPhone 6, only the first image of the slideshow is shown. Is this a known issue?

    Add emailing functionality into mobile app. There are several separate features behind this request:
    * Send email from existing draft;
    * Compose new email;
    * Send an event announcements;
    * Preview email tracking statistics.

    In version 3.0 you can:

    • Send email from existing draft
    • View and manage scheduled emails
    • View sent emails and check delivery status
    • Send email to event attendees (from event screen).

    Check App Store and Google Play for version update.

  10. filter by gift date on donation list (for exporting)

    I do acknowledgments via mail merge and I send donations reports to my treasurer. Right now I export donations (ALL OF THEM) because there doesn't seem to be a way to filter by date for this week or this month or any custom period. I spend a lot of time filtering by custom fields and removing old gifts. This seems like a basic thing. Is it there and I am missing something?

  11. Registrant to view and change his event registrations

    Current features:
    Once registered, a person can not change anything (i.e. cancel/edit details) about their registration, this can only be done by the administrator

    Desired behavior:
    Registrants should have the ability to view and edit their own event registration(s)

    Hello, dear supporters!

    We’re happy to announce that now your registrants can view and cancel registrations.

    
This suggestion has accumulated many votes and comments. As usual, we started with the main needs and some of your requests are not covered in this release.

    What released:

    • All registrants now can view all their event registrations in one place. There is new tab ’My registrations’ in the profile.
    • You, as administrator, can allow them to cancel their registrations and specify cut-off date if required.
    • We added new email – Event registration cancelled. This message is sent when a registration was cancelled, either by an administrator or by the registrant.

  12. Generating membership cards and certificates

    Current behavior:
    Membership certificates/cards can be produced by running a search, exporting records and using something like MS Word mail merge

    Desired behavior:
    Ability to directly setup in the system layout and fields for membership certificates/cards and then to print them using common label formats.

    Notes:

    Details about specific desired formats/layouts/label sizes would be appreciated.

    This suggestion has accumulated many votes over years and is one of top 3 in “Members” category.
We’re happy to announce that the Membership Card is now ready for your use! Some of you already participated in beta-testing of this feature and using it already. We really appreciate your participation, time and feedback.

    
As all big threads, this one contains several suggestions. Some of them are covered in the release, some are not. Let’s jump into it.

    What released: Members can download and print membership cards using the design you create with the templates provided. Once you design and publish your card, members can view, download, and print their cards from their member profiles.

  13. RSVP - Simplified event registration

    Current behavior:
    Registration requires filling out online registration form.

    Desired behavior:
    In some cases this is an overkill and what is desired is Evite-style registration when people can simply click on the link in the event and be done with it.

    Notes:
    1) This would only work for people already in the database
    2) This would only apply to free events
    3) If there are multiple registration types - assign one as default? Force people to choose online?
    4) Highly desirable - negative RSVP - when people say they can not attend.

    Hello, dear supporters!

    This suggestion has accumulated many votes over years and is one of the top 3 in “Events” category.
We’re happy to announce that the RSVP (we called them Simple events) is now ready for your use!
    
As all big features, this one contains several suggestions. Some of them are covered in this release, some are not.

    What released: Admin can create the Simple event that requires only RSVP from registrants – one-click registration with Yes, Maybe, or No answer.
    The simple event is very simple now :) Free registrations only, doesn’t allow for guests, registration limits and sessions. Some of these options are still important for you and required, so we will continue to improve our RSVP feature.

  14. Classifieds gadget (i.e. Job Board )

    Current behavior:
    Blogs or forums are repurposed to serve as classified ads/job boards, however they have serious limitations that prohibit them from being suitable solutions.

    Desired behavior:
    Self-service (e.g. searchable, browseable) classified ads system for members and visitors, with administration tools to moderate and manage entries/permissions.

  15. can't scroll in edit mode?

    is it me or my computer? When I go into edit mode in any theme, I am unable to scroll down the page with my mouse but only edit right where I am. If I can scooch over to the right or the left of the gadget, to where there is blank space, then I can scroll. When not in edit mode, scroll works fine.

  16. Multi-session events with a single registration (e.g. courses)

    Current behavior:
    Events can not recur automatically, each instance has to be created manually.

    Desired behavior:
    Ability to setup automatically recurring events, for example monthly board meetings

    Notes:
    1) We need to figure out what kind of recurrence is required, for example:
    - every XX weeks on a certain day
    - monthly on certain date
    - monthly on a certain weekday (e.g. 2nd Tuesday of each month)
    2) probably should be able to set max number of recurrence
    3) Initially we will not address the ability to register and pay for several events in the series.

  17. Recurring donations

    Current behavior:
    Wild Apricot only supports one-time donations.

    Workaround

    Use Membership application form since it is possible to setup a membership level like 'regular donor' with automatic recurring payments.

    Desired behavior:
    Support recurring donations directly.

  18. Provide a dedicated Tender for Square payments

    Provide a dedicated tender for Square payments: “Online payment (Square)”. (I have to go through all the square payment transactions and manually change the tender just so that I can use the “tender” value to limit a display or export to only Square transactions.)

    Starting the 3.2 version of the admin app, all payments via Square POS get a special tender automatically.

  19. Prevent Accidental Large-Scale Archiving

    Our membership director has accidentally archived hundreds of membership records twice in the last two months. I'd like a feature to prevent large-scale accidents. Perhaps an extra step or an extra privilege setting to archive more than a few records at one time.
