Ability to create database fields that can be filled out separately from the membership application
I'm creating a website for a social organization. They would love to have "extended profile" fields (such as interests, hobbies, etc.) that are not part of the initial membership application. They worry that including a ton of fields in the membership application might increase the barrier for signing up, so these need to be separate from the application so that members can fill them out later.

Online Jurying System within Website
As the web developer for an art organization, we have the need for members to upload their images to a jurying system for annual exhibitions. We currently use an outside service, which is outdated and hard to navigate. Our events are listed on our website for registration, and then our members need to go to another site to upload their application images. It would be a great feature to have the jurying system included within our own site.
I know there are a number of art organizations who also have their websites with WA and would benefit from this type…5 votes -
Social Media Embedding
Hi,
just a suggestion for a future addon, I know you guys are busy :)
For 'Gadgets' adding multimedia, i think it would be great to add your personal 'YouTube channel' page via a widget. Also for all social media accounts, so when the owner of the social media accounts updates, it reflects straight onto the website and updates automatically like 'feeds'.
Some things to have as addons for social media widgets
instagram feed on website
private instagram feed on website
youTube channel on website
youTube playlist on website
facebook page video
facebook page feed/reviews
twitter feed on website

Outreach Tab
My organization needs to track members interests, without cluttering additional fields under the members tab. We are using events for this purpose, since we can customize fields. We have to ignore date of, and other event-related fields. It would be great to have a separate tab without the event-specific fields. Also, looking at using for 'member interests', 'member suggestions', and 'volunteer opportunities'. Since it would function similar to events, might not be too hard an addition-

Provide a page where a viewing member or not, can forward to a friend. Other websites call it "Tell A Friend". The point is if you are interested in a particular event, whether you can make it or not, you can forward the event page to someone you think is interested. You provide your email and the friend's email.

wiki
What is the feasibility of having WA add the ability to create a wiki as part of their webpage building suite of tools?

Peer-to-peer WA user discussion group
I really wish Wild Apricot offered a true users' forum here. Sometimes I have issues that I'd like to bring to the community before I run off to tech support. For example: I've discovered that some of our automatic renewal e-mails were not sent. Some were for international e-mail accounts (e.g., .ca, .uk). About half of the Hotmail addresses didn't go. And for some, I just can't find a reason. Before I call up tech support, it would be great if I could just post a question in a peer forum here to see if this is something others have…

HTML fields
Feedback from a customer:
support an HTML field which allows the embedding of a subset of HTML code like <a> <strong> <a href> some formatting and also <embed> tags. <img>
This would enable you to put all sorts of content into the membership field and enable rich media to be available. This will also solve the issue of profile photos not being large enough since you can create a Photo album.
I daresay putting a field like this in will actually let you design a more custom profile page without having to modify the underlying template in some cases.

Dropbox-like functionality
I think it would be helpful to add a "Dropbox" type service to Wild Apricot, or provide some sort of seamless linking to Dropbox type services.

Class Registration Functionality
We’d like a class registration capability that provides a shopping cart like capability.
Here’s what we (and probably most other organizations offering classes would need):
- Require membership for class sign up (that’s pretty well taken care of) but allow potential class registrants to see classes without being a member
- Allow “conditional” class purchase, e.g. put classes that sound interesting into something like a cart or pre-final checkout, see the amount and go back to shopping for classes if you change your mind
- Allow for pricing flexibility. Each organization is different but our particular pricing needs are to: a. Offer 1…

tracking where members or visitors are coming from
I'd like to be able to see where our memberships are coming from using tracking or source codes - the link to the order form including parameters that get written to the summary pages.
In this way we would be able to see whether our orders came from (say) which websites we ran ads on, or which email lists we used.

Gift Memberships for the holidays, birthdays and special occasions.
Allow one person so set-up and pay for membership and "gift it" to someone else. Currently there is a workaround be setting up a Google form, and then our admin creates the invoice. Its too much manual work and payment is not smooth. Would be best if WA had an new membership workflow, with online payment and it generated a simple gift certificate for the person to give to the recipient. Other orgs (zoo, museums, etc...) have this function.

Membership Facebook Tabs
Ability to add member directory / membership application as Facebook tabs.
Would be nice if these were separate tabs so you could have a membership link and an directory link in your Facebook Tabs (see screenshot).13 votesFrank responded

Create Sub Databases
Create Sub-databases
It would be greatly beneficial to be able to create additional databases within Wild Apricot for use by our Members. For example, as a writers organization, we would like to create a database our members could access to post the rights information for any stories they've written without having to use an outside service.

Support Dynamic Date Options in Searches
When searching (including for saved searches), it would be useful to allow dynamic date ranges, such as:
Current Day
Current Month Start
Current Month End
Last Month Start
Last Month End
Current Calendar Year Start
Current Calendar Year End
Current Fiscal Year Start
Current Fiscal Year End
Past ___ Days

Add "same as" option for home/billing address
For the majority of our club members, their Home Address and their Mailing Address are the same. However, some members have a P.O. Box as a mailing address so we carry both the Home Address and the Mailing Address in our data base. It would same time and improve accuracy if there was a box to check which auto-copied the fields that make up the Home Address into the corresponding fields that make up the Mailing Address. We have all the fields that make up the two address groups marked as required. If the "Same As" box is checked, filling…
