Registrant to view and change his event registrations
Current features:
Once registered, a person can not change anything (i.e. cancel/edit details) about their registration, this can only be done by the administrator
Desired behavior:
Registrants should have the ability to view and edit their own event registration(s)
Hello, dear supporters!
We’re happy to announce that now your registrants can view and cancel registrations.
This suggestion has accumulated many votes and comments. As usual, we started with the main needs and some of your requests are not covered in this release.
What released:
- All registrants now can view all their event registrations in one place. There is new tab ’My registrations’ in the profile.
- You, as administrator, can allow them to cancel their registrations and specify cut-off date if required.
- We added new email – Event registration cancelled. This message is sent when a registration was cancelled, either by an administrator or by the registrant.
What is not covered yet:
- Managing late event cancellation (cancellation fee) – https://forums.wildapricot.com/forums/308932/suggestions/8826904
- Adding guests later or changing existing ones – https://forums.wildapricot.com/forums/308932/suggestions/8827063
- Changing registration details https://forums.wildapricot.com/forums/308932/suggestions/32407099
Check our help page for more information about these changes and others, that we added in this release – https://help.wildapricot.com/display/DOC/Release+5.15
We hope you’ll like it. Please leave your feedback any time by email, by using in-product feedback form and use our Wishlist for sharing your new suggestions.
Thank you for your patience and have a great day!

In our case, the registrar definitely needs to know when an event registration is canceled in order to properly handle the refund and the waitlist, so it's not at all a waste of the administrator's time. If this feature is implemented it must be optional.

Members should be able to cancel their own registrations. It wastes the admins time to have to go in and do that for them. Please add this feature!

Adding my support for member to see the list of events they have already registered for.

Rick, there is nothing valuable I can share right now except that I hear you and number of votes is still one of deciding factors.

I agree. This and a simplified RSVP would be two huge wins for my organization!

We have over 200 votes for this, it has been on the list for a long time, and there are many many here that feel it is essential.
Why can't we now get some of these high vote, aged items released.
The next release is releasing a bunch of low low vote stuff. And when we look at the 'Working On' list, we find the same thing. Working on suggestions that a few requested rather than the high requested, been waiting a long time issues ?

Absolutely needed, we nearly opted fir an alternative to Wild Apricot because our people ciuldnt bail from events.
Our events are also more like the register to attend events that Meet up and Facebook use. 99% of them are costless registrations
Also, we run a voluntarily organisation and the less admin we do, the better.

Not much to add here (and not enough time to read 98 comments), other than to note that our club is competing with Meetup, where signing up for/cancelling from an event is trivial, and it is done within the context of the event.
I understand why cancellation might be a big deal for paid events, but most of our are free.
For free event,s I'd like the user to be able to cancel themselves either from their list of events in their profile, or when clicking on the list of registrants already signed up for an event as they view an event on the calendar (there is a "Register" button there already - "just" add a "Cancel Registration" button if they are signed up for the event they are looking at).
Of course, "allow cancellations" should be an option I can turn on/off when setting up an event.

As a Wild apricot user, we would like to be able to provide individual members with a list/report of courses & events that they have registered for as a record for them to keep.

It looks like this feature is well on its way. I hope that this feature remains optional and it is not evident to members that we chose not to allow this feature. Cancellations are a big problem and we really need our trip leader to manage them. We prefer this to be an admin only process.

The proposal looks good. When can we expect it?

We actually have a separate requests for adding guests later, see https://forums.wildapricot.com/forums/308932/suggestions/8826406
I added your vote there. -

I don't believe that a member can currently go back into their event registration and add a Guest. This would be a great feature. For example, a member registers for an event today and then wants to add a guest to his/her registration a few days later. They have to contact the Admin, right? This would be a great promotional tool for event reminders - "Are you bringing a guest? If not, please add one now".

I agree with Walt. You should be able to change/cancel directly from the event page. The cut-off date is absolutely needed. Thank you.
Changes should also be allowed. For example, at events with meals, registrants have the meat/fish/veggie option. If they want to change that, it has to be done manually via the administrator. Would be great if they can change it themselves.

We would like this feature as well. Our guests want to change their event registration info but cannot do it. They have to contact the admin.

Asking the registrant to go to their profile to cancel is not user-friendly, if that's the only way they can do it.
If they are registered for an event, then on the event details page they have an "Already registered" link. This should be changed to read "Already registered - click to review or cancel." And the page it leads to should contain a Cancel button.

Allow event registrants to change their registration details.

That looks almost perfect. In our case, having Date+Time cutoff granularity would do the trick perfectly. Sometimes having to de-commit from an event is as immediate as getting stuck in bridge traffic getting to the event (in our case, deciding to launch or delay launching an eight person rowing shell).

The proposed changes are exactly what I'm looking for. Is there an ETA on this?

Evgeny's description of the proposed changes sounds perfect to me.
