Allow registrants to change their registration details
Registrants could view their registrations and cancel them. But the edit registration details and options is still not presented.
There are many cases then this function required, started from typo to registration options.
At the same time not all administrators allow to edit registrations, it depends on many factors, the main it may affects costs.
Another case is adding / removing guests to existing registration, we have separate thread about this: https://forums.wildapricot.com/forums/308932/suggestions/8827063

Event registration is not simply about setting up a form for people who already want to attend the event. Crucially, it is about attracting new people to sign up.
Organizers should invest time and effort into event registration to be user-friendly, attractive, trackable, and consistent with the event brand identity.
There isn't a one-size-fits-all formula to set up registration since event professionals have different needs and objectives. But, we can certainly highlight some tips that can elevate your event registration today.

Once attendees register for an event, they should be able to edit it before the deadline. Or at least event organizers should be able to open this as an option. Any changes made need to currently be requested and adjusted manually, resulting in MANY extra hours of labor that attendees could easily do themselves (and they would be happier too!)

This would be such a great add on! I have members who need to register first and at a later date upload their abstracts for a conference. The only way around this is that I have tell people register then email me and I will upload it manually. Same if they have uploaded the wrong abstract, forgot to add in a guest for the dinner or food preference. I can not tell you how much time I spend manually modifying people registrations.

We've received complaints from users who wish to add a guest and are blocked

Would love a form that could be attached to a registration where registrants could select or modify their breakout session choices.

Once a member registers for an event, they cannot edit that event. All they can do is cancel the registration.
However, often members might need to add/remove guests, leave a comment, or simply alter something they previously wrote.

There should be the option to turn On/Off ability for registrants to update their data. Not only their contact data but specific items that they have signed up for. We are having 20 webinars over next 3 months and if someone changes their mind it is time consuming for our staff (2 people!) to manually make these updates rather than attendees being able to update their own data/preferences.

Event registrants should be able to modify registrations. If there is a max set, they should at least be able to modify *down*. Having this all go to an administrator is problematic and a tedious job for someone. The members can self-manage this if you allow it.

Why can't a someone modify their registration? Such as add a guest, or add a meal preference, etc. With today's technology, it is not acceptable to tell them to cancel everything outright, and start over. And it's a tremendous waste of MY time to keep modifying people's events.

We need the ability for members to update their registration entries. I understand the changing purchases would not be advisable, but they may need to update specific non-financial fields. Now if money is involved, they would have to cancel their registration getting a refund, then reregister requiring them to pay again. Each payment would incur a fee. Can we get some options here?

"Administrators can modify an existing event registration, but registrants cannot "
Why is this?
We accept registrations for our Ski Tours for a period of 2 weeks. During that time we have had numerous requests to make small changes in their registrations. ie: room type, ski 3 or 4 days, take the bus or not, join the group dinner or opt out etc.
It takes considerable time for the administrators (those who can make changes) to do this and we were wondering if there was ( or why there is not) an option for the registrant to do this on their own. At least up to the specified "Close" date of registrations.
We do not request payment till after this "Close" date so edit changes do not affect us.
A time limit to edit would be required ie: set time frame.
I see this request has been in the works since 2017 and yet nothing has been done??? -

We are frequently having members asking about adding guests AFTER they have already completed their registrations. Need them to be able to do this whenever they want up to the time of the event.

Limit what they can change or have a last date to edit option.

I definitely think that this is a great idea. I worry about the process of them changing the registrant information being as complicated as ours currently is on the backend. I think that it needs to be easier on the backend and available to them as well. I may have to edit 20 registrants on one invoice and after each change, it takes me to the finances page. We have companies that may purchase multiple tables but do not have the attendees names at the time of registration. I wish us all the best with this!!!

Would really appreciate this update so event attendees are able to amend their own registration. Advisory and Board members, speakers and some invited guests attend our events free of charge and they are registered in the office to make sure they are on the list. If they can then go in and make their amends for typos/updates etc it would save a lot of admin time.

Can't stress enough how much of a God send this would be. This is the one thing that keeps me up at night. Our annual conference brings in an average of 2-3k attendees mostly in big groups who often spell name wrong or put "guest 2" as one of the attendees and then need to edit the names later. Right now we have to bring on an intern or I personally have to manage simple changes for maybe 100 people a month.

Now that you're adding merchandise sales--are you having a shopping cart type step in the process where members finalize their carts prior to being sent to third party for payment? IF YES can you please make this a part of the process for registering for ticketed events as well? For example, a member has registered for a 9am event, and then realizes she needs the 10am event tickets instead. If there's a cart where both of these would be located that one reviews before "check out" (e.g. registered and then sent to 3rd party payment), that would be the ideal stage at which member could remove 9am tickets from cart. That would solve a lot of frustrations for our current members. Letting them unregister AFTER they have gone through check out is a separate issue. Thnx.

Both mobile app and website should allow a person to unregister from an event. This inability is a pain for our members and our administrators. Also, members should be allowed to change the number attending.

Currently a member can only register for an event once. This causes a problem when circumstances change downstream, ie partner decides they can attend , or not attend. If the member could edit their registration without worrying the Admin (as is now the case) would be a great help

An example we have for this need is on buying lift tickets. Initial the registrant might add a 5-day lift pass but things change and now they want a 6-day or 3-day pass. This now has to be handled manually. BUT, need to make sure the change flows to the invoice. We currently have a problem, if the original invoice is for $150 and the admin edits the invoice to raise the invoice amount to $300 but the invoice was already paid in full: the member can't pay this additional when they try. They get the message like: "the invoice is already paid."
