Registrant to view and change his event registrations

Current features:
Once registered, a person can not change anything (i.e. cancel/edit details) about their registration, this can only be done by the administrator

Desired behavior:
Registrants should have the ability to view and edit their own event registration(s)

Hello, dear supporters!

We’re happy to announce that now your registrants can view and cancel registrations.


This suggestion has accumulated many votes and comments. As usual, we started with the main needs and some of your requests are not covered in this release.

What released:

  • All registrants now can view all their event registrations in one place. There is new tab ’My registrations’ in the profile.
  • You, as administrator, can allow them to cancel their registrations and specify cut-off date if required.
  • We added new email – Event registration cancelled. This message is sent when a registration was cancelled, either by an administrator or by the registrant.

    Allowing a member to edit their registration is a must for us and would be greatly appreciated.

    Allowing a contact/member to see a summary of her/his event registrations inside one's account profile and change them is long past due. I am glad it is in this proposal.

    Will the administrator still have to issue the refund in the participants financial transactions page, if they are allowed to cancel on their own? Will the administrator have to issue the refund/credit back to the participants credit card in their credit card processing site? None of that is automatic now.

    We would like our members to be able to see the events they have registered for under "My Account".
    Many of our members will register for multiple events and may not keep their e-mail confirmations, or add to their calendar.
    They will then e-mail us to ask for a list of events they have registered for, since we are able to see this list...should it be easy to make it so the members can view this list themselves?

    Thank you for this design.

    In this proposal, the member has to go to their profile and select the new Event Registrations tab in order to cancel the registration.

    Currently, when a member is registered the event page displays a link "Already registered." I suggest that this link go directly to the member's profile's Event Registrations tab. Also change the mouse-over text popup on the link to read "Click to review or cancel registrations."

    This will be more intuitive than having the member navigate to the profile.

    Also, would it be possible, after the member has cancelled, to give them the option to go directly to the event registration form with the fields already filled in with the values from their cancelled registration? In this way they can effectively edit their registration, even though the system will cancel and create a new one. You could implement this along with the current proposal, or at a later date.

    These are excelent changes. I would also propose to add a running record of the events which the member has participated in which he can view.

    This would be a great addition. However, will you also add an automatic wait list to registration function? If not, you are requiring the member or administrator to constantly monitor the events that have a wait list to see if there has been a cancellation otherwise another member can jump the line when someone cancels.

    Edits and/or Cancels to Registrations would be a BIG hit with our club.

    We jumped right on the waiting list feature! Wonderful feature.

    We would like to see the ability for members to be able to change what they want to do for a given event. For example, someone signs up for our annual meeting, didn't initially choose to go to one of the meals, then they decide to go the day of the event. Currently an administrator has to modify that to change it.

    Members should be able to see in one place all the events they have signed up for and their payment status.

    LOVE this. This is our club's biggest issue with the new website. As events are managed by many others than just the website administrator, it's challenging to have people email random/directed individuals rather than just fall of the list in WA.

    I with that members could cancel themselves from an event if that option is selected. We have many factors that may not allow for a member to go last minute- so would be nice if it just opened a spot for another member to register. Currently they have to contact an administrator to do so. Thanks.

    Would like a member to be able to easily see a list of his current event registrations. Could be in member profile or a drop-down option from member name. The list should indicate those that are paid and those not paid.

    My club is most active in the winter and its exactly now that i need this feature - pleeeeeease implement it soon! As the site admin i need to handle 10-15 cancelations a week and people will always call me or email - its very inconvenient to handle these cancelations outside of WA :(
