Hm, interesting. Can you then describe the whole setup in your mind? Are these 2 different websites, or one website where members login and have special access to create new content, like pages, etc.?

Walt, there are number of details, this is why I asked to contact our tech support. They have information and know how to process such requests. See http://www.wildapricot.com/wildapricotcontact

Paul, you can contact our tech support and they can help you with a workaround (like hiding the labels using CSS).

Thanks for response Ruthi (though my comment was addressed to originator of this suggestion, smaul).
Your example (1) is something we planned for the very next release, will see how it goes.
For (2) - this is something we will working on next year, this is harder to do.

smaul: Why cannot it be addressed now? How do you define "session"? Is it a field in event registration form, or are you talking about Registration types? It would be great, if you provide bigger picture for me, what kind of organization you are, what kind of events you have, how you organize them and what kind of problem you have in Wild Apricot to address this setup.
Without this information it would be hard to proceed with this request.

I understand, Natasha. But we have a lot of things on our plate and have to prioritize. My biggest prioritization tool is number of votes, and this particular requests has very few of them.

I was looking through this long thread and thinking - there is no way we can handle it in a full integration scale this year (of may be even ever). But can something be done as a quick substitute for the full integration? Well, there might be options.
I'm thinking about something like "callback" function on WA side. Imagine we have a special new setting page, where an admin can setup an URL to call when a payment transaction completes (actually, several URLs - for membership application, renewal, level change or event registration, or donation). Just several texboxes where admin defines an URL - e.g. as it was mentioned by ptorto1 at http://forums.wildapricot.com/forums/308932-wishlist/suggestions/8825569-affiliate-program-integration-2986
The URLs can also use some macros that WA will supply - e.g. Contact ID, Invoice Number, Date, Amount, Transaction ID, etc.
This means that whenever the payment transaction for the listed cases occurs (e.g. membership application is paid), WA will call the URL defined by admin, substituting macros in emails with transaction specific data.
If we do this - and this is actually very simple to do and can be done quite quickly - can this be useful?

Currently each directly provides an access to member details card which is same per member. In your case, there will be several different ways to look into single member profile depending on where you came to it from. I think this will be difficult to manage.

Great suggestion! Thanks for sharing.
By the way, here in Wild Apricot we're also thinking of doing something similar: when someone opens a new WA trial, they go through a series of steps, checking each one by one. So I totally understand the idea.

Thanks for the feedback, Treat. I was surprised myself that we do not have advanced search criteria to perform a search on contacts based on email tracking options. I have updated the title of the suggestion to better reflect the idea.

Or, instead, would you prefer to have special advanced search criteria to find contacts/members which clicked on a link in specific email?

First 4 options are all about advanced search - you go to the contact list, initiate advanced search, select conditions I mentioned and defines specific email sent, then do the search and then export or initiate new email.
Another option is when you're in specific email blast detail screen and you see a list of recipients (some of them are failed, some clicked links), there are links somewhere in the screen and when you clilck on them, you get to the filtered contact list. There can be several such links and they are just for a quick search of some predefined conditions.

Evgeny Zaritovskiy

But I would also like to hear comments from others as this looks as a very useful scenario - to be able to make follow up actions (email, export) based on result of email (link clicked or not, email opened or not, etc.)
My current option in mind is to add new criteria into advanced search of contacts - like these:
1) Recipients of specific email that CLICKED or DID NOT CLICK on specific link
2) Recipients of specific email that DID NOT CLICK ON ANY LINK
3) Recipients of specific email that OPENED or DID NOT OPEN specific email
4) Recipients of specific email that OPENED BUT DID NOT CLICK ANY LINKCombination of these conditions would allow you to get a list of contacts based on various or rules and then you can send follow up emails, make an export, etc.
Also, another option could be to have a quick links right in the email details so you can click and get into contact list that is filtered on some predefined conditions .

Cindy, Nia - thanks for comments and votes. It helps to prioritize the requests higher. But currently we have a limited set of resources and we have to prioritize. Our current plans are published here - http://help.wildapricot.com/display/DOC/Product+roadmap

I realized that there have to be also relative options to setup date/time - i.e. hide in 2 months or publish in 1 week.

What do you think of the following
1) Simple change
on new blog post page we add simple checkbox right after date/time controls with label "Hide until this date/time". If selected, the post is not shown to anybody except admin until the date. Admin sees special label (Hidden) near title of each of such posts.
2) more advanced
add 2 new options:
Publish on: (*) Immediately () [ date ] [ time ]
Hide on: (*) Do not hide () Hide now () [ date ] [ time ]Each option is a radiochoice that defines when the post should be published and when hidden. Default options keep the same behaviour as now.
Again, each hidden post (not published yet or hidden) has special (Hidden) label near title so admin can distinguish them from other posts.
Any comments?

Can be done using Theme overrides functionality – by fixing HTML code in the gadget templates. But I’ll be collecting comments to see if suggested user-friendly functionality needed by others.

Walt - in themes override you can download zip file for your current theme and there you will see gadgets templates, including for event summary. It's quite simple if you have HTML knowledge. Otherwise, it's not easy and won't be able to explain it here. You can, alternatively, post a question on out Designers forum where someone may help you.

Currently, you can easily workaround this by using Theme overrides functionality and changing HTML templates of the gadget.

Henry, this is exactly what this suggestion is about - when we start working on it, we most probably redesign current behaviour and remove this difference between renewal and level change. During renewal process anyone will be able to change current level if he wants.
Still, this is not not in work.

Hi - no, no progress so far. I see no workaround as of now on that as this change involves modification to internal code responsible for finances.
This feature is in our Roadmap for this year, but it may not fit after all.

I'm not sure I understand "We would like to set the membership level change based on their renewal date and not the date of the level change.". Can you please elaborate a little bit more? May be, an example?
An error occurred while saving the comment
Evgeny Zaritovskiy
commented
" At this point, the software has just bumped the renewal date forward by 1 year BUT it doesn't give the option to generate an invoice"
Actually, it's a little bit different. If new level policy is defined as "Join date" (not specific date), then when you edit member records and change a level, system updates renewal date field - not when you save it, but right after you changed a level in the dropdown. Also, if you change status to "Pending - Level change" and save it like that, system will suggest to generate invoice.
So, as a workaround for now (it's going to be a while until we make a change here) I would suggest the following:
* Admin clicks "Edit" and gets to contact editing screen
* changes level to another one (do not click Save yet), renewal date field automatically updated to new one
* checks renewal date and sets it to required one (if needed)
* changes status to "Pending - Level change"
* clicks Save
* System opens contact details screen with yellow box containing "Generate invoice" field
* Admin clicks the button, new invoice screen is open
* enter all required details (if needed - amount and other details are already filled in)
* check "Payment received in full" in the bottom right corner
* click Save
* Invoice is created and it's marked as paid.
* If you need to email receipt to a member, click on "Settlement details" in the invoice, payment details are open
* Click "Email" and follow the workflowIt's not that bad if you try ))An error occurred while saving the comment

Please keep in mind that we change our plans all the time depending on the situation. Currently, we are working on a very big change into our content management module and it takes a lot of efforts from us. There are chances that we will have to bring more development resources to complete the change in this year and this would mean that other planned features can be postponed.
