  1. Show restricted access page in menu but require password to access

Right now whatever you want to protect or restrict access to, you have to put it under a "Restricted Access" functional page.

And whatever that is in that page is invisible, unless you log in.

    Two suggestions/wish list....

    1. Capability to designate each page whether it is to be password protected or not, without putting it under a restricted functional page. Having to create pages under "Restricted Access" limits flexibility and intuitiveness in arranging the pages.

    2. Have those password protected pages menus be visible, even without logging in, but require password to proceed any further.

    Thanks.

  2. Log of changes - who deleted a contact, registration, or changed data

Is there a way to find out which admin deleted or changed a contact registration or details.

For example we have an event which a company registered their attendees and paid online. One of the admins deleted the registration. Is there a way to find out which admin deleted that contact?

If this is not available could is possibly be added in the future? I like the fact that the 4.0 service will allow read only admin access which will help with this issue but I am still curious which of my admins deleted that contact.

    Regards,

    Alma AYala

  3. New Admin role for financial transactions management

It would really help if there was an additional level of access I could assign to my administrators to view details on transactions and payments which currently only top level admin can do.

I don't want to give my lower level administrators top level rights but I would like them to be able to do tasks such as print transaction lists and set account status to payment complete - membership active in the payment settings following receipt of a manual payment.

  4. Auto-login from e-mail links

It would be great if a macro could be built that could be used in an e-mail where the recipient simply clicks on a link and they are automatically signed in and directed to their membership profile. Currently, there is a macro that will direct the recipient to their profile, but they still have to manually login to get to it.

Anything we can do to simply the process for members who aren't super computer savy would be great. Having the macro automatically log them in would be a great enhancement. Thought I would post this to see if others…

  5. Track who adds an event

We have many event admins on our site who add events to our calendar. We would like the ability to know who has added an event if the leader/adder of the event fails to include their name. This has already happened a number of times and it is becoming a problem. We do, of course, stress that leaders need to include themselves as the leader. But it seems as though this should be logged with all events and be traceable.

    Thank you.

  6. New admin role - membership manager limited to specific groups or levels

    Hi,

I'm currently setting up a club membership system on WA and would like to know if it is possible to assign people as admins of a group. Basically we have little mini clubs for our regional members and these are looked after by a local member for that area, I would like that member to have access to only the members in that group and put members in and out and the like. They would also need to be able to email that group and it would be nice if they could manage the web pages associated with that…

  7. photographs

One of our members does not give permission for her photographs to be used on social media or website. Have made note in Internal Notes, but I wonder whether this should not be flagged on all her event registrations? Could this be done automatically? We ask people at each event, but in this case it is a permanent opt out.

  8. Restrict bundle administrator to access to personal details of bundle members

I am testing membership bundle function and I recognize that the bundle administrator when log into his/her account will be able to view personal profile of bundle members. Therefore, I set up privacy setting of bundle members to be "Do not show profile to others" except their first name and last name. However, it does not make any changes. As a site administrator, I would like to restrict the bundle administrator's accessibility to personal details of bundle members because that's privacy.

  9. Enforce stronger member passwords

When a password is generated by the application, it seems quite secure. However, when people change their passwords, they usually don't make them as secure as they should be. Is there a way to reject a new password if it isn't secure? Or provide a "meter" that shows just how secure their new password really is so that they can reevaluate their choice? I know of some Javascript coding for this purpose (http://javascript.internet.com/passwords ), but I'm not sure if it's possible to use any of it in a CMS environment like yours.

    Thank you for your attention!

  11. Fix bug with custom domain and WP login shortcode

    Issues with Wordpress Integration:

When I switched to a custom domain with no ssl I set my security to "payments only". However the login shortcode for WP automatically puts in my custom subdomain so I get a security error because it does not have an SSL. Essentially you cannot use a custom domain with no SSL if you are integrating with WP.

  12. Privacy is the essence of a strong organizations practice and standards.

When any type of data is exported, create a log to stamp when it was done and by whom and to include a drop down window on why it is being exported. Naturally, the simplest way to track this is not to allow anyone to export unless they have the overall authority to do so and limit such authority to a fix number and not more than X.

This is essential to ensure privacy and enjoy the public's trust of any information we have collected from them

  13. IP Address monitoring to keep members from freely sharing membership login info

There's a few services that offer IP address monitoring to ensure paid members aren't freely sharing their membership. This would be helpful for me (I believe Sentry does this)

  14. Allow Member profile Access Control by Member Level

Bottom Line: The matrix for controlling "Access to Others" for Profiles is insufficient. Currently the only choices are: Anyone, Members and No Access. We need another layer between Anyone and Members. This way we can use the full functionality of Wild Apricot and control access to information by delineating between the Public/Prospects and all real Members.

Discussion: What this is about is how Wild Apricot allows us and our Members to control access to the information they provide in their profiles and how they and we control everyone's privacy.

We have created two member levels:
    *

    Guest

    *

    Member

    In…

  15. Provide Member View to admins without Membership

Currently administrators who are not signed up as members do not have access to the "go to member view" option when signed in.

This means that all of our staff need to be set up as members, and we need to create a separate member category that is not shown in our member listing on the user page for this. It seems unnecessary for there to be a workaround for a feature that we feel should be standard.

Administrators from the organization that has purchased the Wild Apricot software should have access to all of the features of the product,…

  16. Transferring sign-in/authentication status to a third party website

We would like to have our members link to outside web sites (for example to access journal article content), using the WA login. The easiest way to do this is using signed linking, which there is no support for in WA. This could also provide a simple mechanism to provide Single Sign-on support using the WA login.

For example, WA should be able to create a link such as:

    <a href="pathInfo?originator=originator&identity=identity&timestamp=timestamp&token=signature">

    Where:

    • pathInfo - the destination of the link

    • originator - the name of the service generating the signed link. This would be specified in the link settings.

  17. Redirect HTTPS to HTTP for Payments Only SSL setting

For sites that use the "Payments Only" setting for SSL and a custom domain, WA still allows users to access the non-payment pages using HTTPS. That seems convienient, but there are side effects to allowing HTTPS access to an HTTP page. First, if a user does try to access a non-payment page with HTTPS, they will get a browser certificate mis-match warning. As you know, the warning that modern browsers display can be quite scary to the average user. I think you will find this issue to be more common than you think, such as a new site where the…
