Sorry for the late update.
The first step was finished and emails can now be carbon copied to contact’s alternative emails. To do so the contact fields which store the alternative emails must be explicitly marked on the email setting page.
Unsubscribing will unsubscribe all alternative emails simultaneously because they all belong to the very same account. The person clicking “unsubscribe” is warned about this on the unsubscribe page.
For now we paused the development of this feature. but not for good. :) So I’m changing this wish status back to “collecting comments”.
Thank you everyone for a valuable feedback.

We’re looking into this request in much broader context – we want to simplify overall management of contacts, lists, saved searches. Saved search should be perceived as smart lists and provide quick access to various contact and member groups.

I merged another very similar thread into this one, they should be solved together – the registration to multiple events should be simple and fast if possible. There are a number of suggestions in comments on how to achieve this.

An error occurred while saving the comment ruthiyael commentedWe would like to have (cheque/cash/paypal/credit card) donations and event registration payments transferred to Xero, and (EFT) payments or donations transferred from Xero to Wild Apricot. There should be a system where our bookkeeper can review the transactions before importing to general ledger.
Also if she has to sent out a tax deductible receipt for donations, it would be very helpful to have the updated name/address/email/postal address updated to Xero from Wild Apricot, which is generally the more current information. -

An error occurred while saving the comment ruthiyael commentedIf you really want to get fancy, make it possible to set a cancellation policy for events and then prompt the admin to select the right choice according to the policy - but if we can just have the option to select that's good too :)

An error occurred while saving the comment ruthiyael commentedI'd like to see this as well.
We would like to avoid too many emails when a member's renewal is coming up, and just send them the invoice with some personalisation about how much we'd appreciate their renewal for another year.
We just set up our Wild Apricot database recently. Most of our members have never logged on to their account, and might not have the understanding or patience to create a password and log in for the first time. The invoice makes it easy to pay but needs more of a personal touch.
We'd appreciate invoice templates for different purposes, mainly membership and events. At the moment our workaround is to turn off invoices for events, as anyone registering online probably will be continuing on to payment and doesn't need a separate invoice.

An error occurred while saving the comment ruthiyael commentedWe also need this, especially for our volunteers many of whom are not members.
At the moment we have custom fields but it is unwieldy.

Old design proposal, not working on it yet and can be changed if we start working on it – https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B0f9kMyQqlBsZ3FQOWRiMERRNkk/view?usp=sharing

I also think you underestimate your users. Any database should have it. If you think people will be turned off put it separately from the regular advanced search, but it's sorely needed!

We would love this, it encourages registration for several sessions in a series or the whole series at once. I'm envisioning something like a checkbox for each session with a (discounted) "sign up to all" option.
I can see this can be complicated and hope you can get it off the ground.
