  1. Disable Registration for Multi-Session Event Once It Starts

Most of our events represent multi-session classes that start on a given date and meet weekly for X weeks. We create a different session in the event for each time the class meets.

We would like an option to automatically disable registration for these classes / events once the first session meets. Tracking the start of every class and needing to go in and manually disable the registration is tedious. And, if we don't do this, we invariably have people trying to register and join the class.

    Thank you

  2. ability to set different reply to email for event announcements vs reminders

We can set a different "reply to" email for events using the email address for each event coordinator. But then Announcements and Reminders both default to this email address.

Often a member will cancel when they receive the reminder, and we want the cancellation to go to a different person (an Event Administrator) who has access to Admin view.

  3. Ensure important event emails are delivered to ALL registrants

Sometimes we have very important information to share with all registrants for an event - e.g., a time or location change. Great - go the event, select "Email registrants", and you're done. EXCEPT... anybody that's opted out of emails DOES NOT RECEIVE this important update. My request is to provide a way for these important "event update" emails to be delivered - perhaps by categorizing them differently than marketing-related emails.

    Thank you.

  4. Event Creation Audit Trail

Need an Audit Trail for Event Creation
When we joined WA some 4 years ago we had no restriction on the number of Admin Staff. We had around 20 staff authorised to create events and this enabled us to track who was doing what. Now with only 10 admins allowed we are forced to have many event organisers use a single admin, login in. PROBLEM, there is no audit trail

  6. Simplify setting event access mode when creating a new event

On the Create new event page you see:
    - Admin Only (default)

If you want to change from the default you click Admin Only and...

You are presented with a dialog box with these options
    - Public
    - Admin only (selected)
    - Restricted

    Then you make your selection
    Then you click Save

    ===

Why not move the contents of the dialog box to the Create New Event page where the initial selection Admin only is shown?
You can set the default Admin only by a 3 option radio button
    The other options:
    - Public
    - Restricted

    When an event is…

  7. Better Facebook representation when posting links

When posting a link on Facebook There are no pictures shown and nothing visual to indicate my site, my business, what we do or anything to promote my organization. All I see is the words Object Moved and a Wildapricot address that doesn't speak at all to what I want to show.
How about making it possible to show something that represents us and our pictures so we can promote out organization?

  8. Specify time not just date for event's registration available period

Posting this on behalf of client Nishit Vasavada:
"Event registration start time (not just the date - under Registration Type/Available period). Currently it opens at 12am on the date of the local timezone, but we need it at 9pm. We can set the timezone to ET (we are in PT), but if we forget, it's a hassle. It would be really nice to have the time in addition to date."

  9. Event pricing option for members vs non-members

Current Behavior: Event registration form allows you to add custom options with extra charge and allows you to display extra charge multiplier functions. None of these options allow control of display prices based on member vs non-member pricing.

Sample Layout of current behavior for radio button with extra charge to handle member vs non-member pricing:

    Workshop (Sunday, February 5, 2017)

    X Member $125
    X Non-member $175

Desired behavior: Would like a custom extra charge function to display pricing based on whether the individual is a member or non-member. For instance, if we are holding a workshop at an event which…

  10. Enable greater segmentation of automatic Announcement mailings.

Enable segmentation of automatic email sends. We would like to send a different message to Members vs. Non-members, but do not want to "waste" one of the three automatic Announcement emails to do so. I tried clicking "send now" to one list, then revising the message, but there's a flaw in that approach: The first batch had not been completed, and after I revised the email in preparation for sending to the second batch, the first batch got the REVISED version -- presumably because I had not waited for the first batch to get through the queue. (And there's also…

  11. Event History Analysis

Reporting. Analysis of all event history. I would like to pull all the past event history of Registrations vs Attendance. Members vs Guests for each individual event. Without having to pull reports individually. export to an Excel spreadsheet. Comparison from year to year / month to month / etc. If in an Excel Export then I would be able to create Pivot Table summaries of what worked and what did not on topics, etc.

  13. A true form-based Content Management System

For Email and Event entry, we need a true Content Management System -- where novice end-users can enter text and it is automatically dropped into a template that we design. You try explaining to some of our members why centered text is more readable; I've given up! And there are a lot of browser and mail-client quirks that need to be addressed expertly. They occur even if the HTML editor is never used, and they should not require HTML editing to fix. For example, your CSS image margin specs are totally ignored by Outlook 2010 and other mail clients. It…

  14. Backup/Restore Events

Recently, a new WA admin mistakenly deleted our "gala" event with over 100 registrants - just a few days before the event.

Currently, WA Support cannot restore the event (or any events) - nor will a site backup recover the events. At best, WA Support Level II is hoping to recover some data...

This situation is probably not significant with respect to frequency. However, depending on the Event it can have a significant impact on a non-profit collecting funds, managing an event, and the perception regarding same.

Clearly, this situation can and has put WA and folks supporting same in…

  15. Variable cost events

    1. In the Upcoming Events gadget, you should be able to NOT show multiple sessions for a multi-session event, just the event itself.
    2. For event payments, it would be good to have an option that doesn't have a fixed price, but allows the price to be calculated (e.g. number of classes x cost per class, where the classes are sessions of a single event).

  16. Change word "Registration" to "Reservation"

Allow rewording of "Registration is Closed." We do not always begin an event's reservations period as soon as it is posted. Saying registration is closed can be misinterpreted as meaning the event is full. This, people won't come back when reservations actually open. Let us substitute "Registration is not yet open" or "Registrations begin (date)" or omit it altogether. And while your at it, let us say "reservations" not "registration"; it's the word we've used for decades, the person who takes reservations is the Reservationist (who ever heard of a "Registrationist"?) and we think it's friendlier. Not every event is…

  17. Fields in Registration Forms

Fields in Registration Forms need a "disable" option so we can cut off sign-ups for paper submission (academic conference) three or so weeks before the event, and also cut off sign-ups for meals a few days before the event (because of caterer deadlines). Right now the only way to handle this is to backup the registration data (i.e., put it into "Excel Hell") and then delete the field, thus loosing the data it held. Better yet would be to have a date-specified cutoff such as is available for Registration Types.

  18. Event Promo section for each Event that can be customized and included as a macro

    1. In an automatic promo email, is there a macro or something that will insert either just the first part of an Event’s description, or a shorter description we would custom-write (different for each event)? The reason for this is that some events have very long, detailed descriptions that would be inappropriate for a promo email, and/or disclose “too much” in the email. Often our aim is to drive them to the site for more information. But there is no macro that we can use, and we found no workaround, other than writing custom copy for each and every automatic email.

  19. Add event detail to financial invoice reporting

Under financial reports/income - if a payment is made for an event, list the event (not just "event"). We have numerous trips and need to drill down on each to determine what trip is being paid for.

  20. Manualy register several attendees for event

I would like to be able to manually register more than one contact/member at a time for an event, either through an import or by being able to put a check beside every contact/member I would like to manually register and being able to select "All" as well.
