  1. Display selective details on upcoming events gadget in public view

When member events are created, the location information is also shared in the public view. This is concerning as this is sensitive information and must not be shared to the general public.
Currently, my work around has been to create events to not display the locations and use filter to display them on my home page to provide as an incentive for prospective members.

Can there be an option where I can select what information is to be shared in the public view vs when a member is logged in, especially for location.

  2. Administrators should control the 'Show registrants who want to be listed' setting for Events

The admin should control how the 'Show registrants who want to be listed' option works.

    For example,
They have hidden member only event, where they want to display the total number of registrants to other members (it should not be an option to their members but rather the organisation to control what get displayed or not)

  3. invite individual contacts to an event

It would be incredibly helpful to invite individual contacts rather than saved contact groups to events. We often hand pick individuals to certain events and I am currently unable to send invitations via the event notification.

  4. Obscure an event organizer's email address in event email announcements.

Currently if an event is announced using the event email settings the organizer's email address will go to all recipients. The only way to protect the email address of the organizer is require that the event organizer be listed using a more generic administrative email address but this will reroute all event email reports on registration away from the organizer as well.

This proposal is that there be an option to use the admin email return address but to include a hyperlink to the organizer's personal message system contact web page.

The status of this option would map the organizer's…

  5. Do not allow one member to register another member on event

    Current behavior:
It is possible for one member to register another member on the registration form by entering their email address.

    Desired behavior:
Do not allow one member to register another member during registration on event.

  6. Allow event registration within grace period, for members with past renewal date

Since the March 2017 release, this was implemented: "For existing members, member-specific registration types are only available if their renewal date is not in the past. This applies to members with statuses of Active, Pending - Renewal, and Pending - Level change. This prevents existing members whose membership is not paid up from using member-specific registration types."
WA provides for a Grace Period defined at the "membership level". The "no event registration" for member-specific registration types should be set after the grace period is up, NOT AT "PAST DUE" . That is the meaning of Grace Period for many organizations.

  7. Event Registration - members with guests

Events Registration - program to have the linked registration function write the hosts name in the linked registration field if the host has guests. So the data export to an excel file can be sorted to assign sit together tables for table assignment?

    host name ...... host name
    host name ...... guest name
    host name ...... guest name

The host name .... guest name write is already there, it just requires the host name .... host name write.

This is a definite requirement for clubs that have meetings with table seatings and would take a WA programmer 2 secs to…

  8. Conditionally Linked Multiple Event Registrations

If we have two events A and B. In order to attend event B a participant must be registered for event A. There should be a mechanism in Wild Apricot to 'check' for the initial event A prior to allowing registration for event B.

  9. Adding additional recipients to automatic event e-mails

Our club has large events (long-weekend gatherings) at are administered by an event manager, and contained within it smaller activities that are separately organized by different people with separate registration requirements/limits (classes, activities). This is a little more complicated than multi-session events, so we can't use that functionality for this.

So instead, we have the master event with the event organizer being the overall event manager (used to sign up people for the long weekend and over overall event costs), and then the "sub-events" that happen during the master event are events themselves, with their leader/instructor as the event organizer…

  10. Add holidays to event calendar

I would like to import a list of holidays into the WA calendar gadget. I'm thinking of something similar to how I can choose to add "Holidays in [country]" as another calendar in Google Calendar.

I know I can add sessions to a "Holiday" event, but it would be nice to have the name of the holiday as the title instead of "Holiday" without having to create an event for every single one.

  11. Event coupon codes bypass membership checks/settings

When someone registers for an event using a coupon code, it bypasses all membership checks and conditions. Thus, when a member mistypes their e-mail address when signing up for an event using a coupon code, a non-member contact is created for the registration, and the member's account is not tied to the resulting registration. This messes up our contact database, all automatic e-mailing (usually the e-mails will bounce so the registered member doesn't get any communications), the organizer's records, and the member's membership record.

We have very good reasons for wanting to limit coupon codes only to members. For example,…

  12. Registration e-mails not routing properly on manual notification

When an administrator manually registers a member for an event, and then clicks the "Send Notification" button, the resulting "registration confirmed" e-mail does not also go to the organizer per the mail routing rules defined for the event's "registration confirmed" e-mail settings. Furthermore, the "Send Notification" button also doesn't give the administrator a way to add a CC e-mail address to the notification, or a checkbox to allow the organizer to be CCed.

In short, this is inconsistent with the event settings and adds to the work the administrator needs to do - they need to manually inform the organizer…

  13. system email for change to event location

I would like for the system to send out an automatic email when important details about an event are changed (date/time/location). Currently we can click to send an announcement/reminder, but it doesn't actually call out what was changed so the information will likely be overlooked compared to an email with a subject like Date/Time/Location Changed: [name of event].

  14. Set a different email to go out before each session

I'd like to have more options for sending out emails related to events when there are multiple sessions for a single event.

I need to be able to set a different email to go out before each session. Right now the only options are to send the same email out before every session or send an email out only before the first session.

  15. calendar tooltip

Our event titles are longer than are allowed to be displayed on the calendar. Create an option to select to have the event title added to the tooltip so that instead of only seeing date & location on mouseover, you see title, date, & location.

  16. gray out past events

We show our past events on the calendar, but it is not visually obvious which ones are past vs future. I would like two additional options for past events: showing as gray, or showing as % saturation. This would make past vs future easier to see at a glance.

  17. Copying event: Remind admin to change date and title

When an admin is editing a copy of an event and clicks Save, and either the title or the date hasn't been changed, and the event has been set to Public, pop up an "Are you sure?" box.

  18. Provide easy way to transfer a registered contact to the waitlist

The new waitlist facility is a welcome addition, however it does not fully cater for the way we operate.

We ask as many contacts as possible to register for events. Selection to participate is at the discretion of the event organiser and not on a first-come, first-served basis. To activate the waitlist, we limit the number of registrations after they have been received and then move those not selected to the waitlist

The only option for Admins to add waitllist registrations is to create a new entry. If an Admin wishes to move to the waitlist someone who has already…

  19. Integration with Meetup

Integration with Meetup for non-programmers. Meetup's market power comes from its Facebook-like ability to inform Meetup users of similar Meetups happening in their geographic area or in the user's area of interest; it is superior to Facebook in its ability to organize actual activities. If it were not for these features, Meetup could be ignored by Wild Apricot users. Position Meetup as a feeder market for selling Wild Apricot (WA) services to Meetup groups that have grown to the point of needing more sophisticated member management and website integration, without relying upon programmers.

    1) Map WA user logon authentication with…

  20. Show if member ticked the 'Invoice me' box in registration report

Sometimes a registration is not paid for online due to a technical issue with PayPal or they have changed their mind and abandoned the registration. Sometimes it's because the person ticked the 'Invoice me' box but there is no way to know this. Please add the 'Invoice me' field to the registration information that can be exported in a report so we can service our customers appropriately.
