Purchase of concurrent subscriptions e.g. have members on multiple levels
Create an option to allow a member to maintain two or more concurrent subscriptions for a paticular site. This is useful if you running a site and selling a subscriptions for information.
An exmaple of this is that I run a site that sells repair information. A customer signs up and then can choose to signup for Automotive Repair for $50 or Airplane Repair for $100 or both for $150. We need to keep the infromation and forums seperate and only limited to the actual subscribers.
My understanding that we can only have levels of a paticular membership, not concurrent memberships.
Concurrent membership is not something easy to implement - it would require fundamental redesign of how membership works in WA. However, I have couple of thoughts here that I wanted to hear your feedback on.
As I understand, there are 2 sides of the problem:
1. Collecting additional dues for services. E.g. Member is associate and board member, so you need to collect both dues.
- This can be addressed using our extra fields functionality. Maybe it's a bit clunky, but it should work. E.g. setup associate member as primary membership and add extra charge checkbox for being a board member.
- You can easily filter down any members you need with advances search by that extra field.
2. Setting correct permissions on website pages - here there's no workaround we could suggest, but adding permissions based on saved searches seems to feasable option.
Am I missing something? Will the suggested approach work for your setups

Has there been any plan to add concurrent memberships? We offer several recurring services, and it would greatly simplify our membership levels if we could combine them.

This issue has been opened for many YEARS - much like other critical features. What's interesting about this one is it allows for additional revenue streams within an organization. WA has become very good at doing the same.

Ability to assign multiple member classes to individual members and invoice accordingly. ie
member a is an associate member ... invoice = $100 per annum or month or quarter
member a is also a board member ... invoice = $100 per annum or month or quarterrequirement is to batch up multiple invoices to each member according to the number of member classes assigned to them.

Our club comprises different section beneath, of which members need to subscribe individually to. Please add functionality so members can subscribe to more than one membership level.

Is 5 years and over 100 business customers not enough interest to get this prioritized? It's interesting because we all seem to have a financial interest in setting up a second membership . . . i.e. because you don't allow for this option, we're not as able to collect money for our organizations. This DOES NOT seem like the type of item you'd want to de-prioritize. Any updates on this front would be much appreciated.

I see several areas of architecture in the current Wild Apricot system that could be affected in a serious way that requires deliberation:
1. Access control to pages - I am active in level1 and level2.
A page has access control to level1 but NOT level2. Can I see the page because I am in level1? But I should not be able to since I am in level 2 as well. That's a conflict. What's my primary access control to this page?
2. Access control to events - see #1
3. Access control to registration types - see #1
4. Membership fields - if you have membership fields for certain levels, I guess you would "combine" all fields from the levels assigned to you. I think there may be some issues here, still in terms of the UI as you are renewing one level - do you see all your membership fields or just the ones for that level?
5. The cascade of dependencies on the API, mobile apps, pretty much every single part of the system.
I think the only really effective and reasonable approach that doesn't affect so much of the system to have a "federated" approach where you setup multiple WA sites for each chapter and have a single sign on approach that enables you to "traverse" across multiple chapters. Of course each could have multiple different levels, effectively giving a member the perception they have different levels. At least here you could sign in with 1 email and be "directed" to the site you want to access. It would be cool for the sites to be modeled after each other too. This is directly related to the multi chapter issues brought up in another thread that ended up being resolved as simply: use a separate site when you need a separate business model, payment mechanisms, levels and policies.
Use one site when all the branches are modeled in the same way. This breaks of course when you have 1 site and DO NOT want the overhead of separate sites.

Our not-for-profit needs simultaneous membership levels for our sponsorship program and the ability to have access to membership level specific pages. Currently without this feature, we are looking into other options and canceling Wild Apricot.

This has been a request since 2015. Please, please, please consider (and if you need this function too, go to the forum below and vote there so all votes are on one subject).
We need to be able to give our members the option to hold a National membership and State membership. We also have Life members who only need to renew their state dues 1x per year. It is waaaay to clunky to have to create new membership levels that include state dues for each of our existing member levels. PLEASE consider allowing someone to hold 2+ memberships with the same email address (perhaps assign a billable/renewable $$ to certain groups they belong to).

allow multiple simultaneous membership levels. We have the case where a person is both staff and a bundle administrator. Therefore we have to create two contacts for the same person.

Currently, we have members signing up using different emails addresses when there are multiple levels that they are interested in. This would be a fantastic feature!

A concurrent subscription ability - and/or multiple memberships using the same email/login - is essential for organizations that want to service their members with education. I am in the process of building out our site and love the platform so far, but have been very frustrated in trying to figure out what we need to do with workarounds to meet this need. We have come up with a cobbled process that involves many initial member levels to select from, then groups, page permissions, store products, and Shopify integration. It has taken many, many hours to put this together to meet our needs - when a concurrent subscription or membership option would create such a better experience. Please put this feature in the que, as it would greatly enhance what Wild Apricot can do and combined with the excellent features you already have, set your service apart from all others. Thank you!

Hi,
We have members who join for Golf, and those that join for Swimming. We have some that would like to join both.
Unfortunately, it seems Wild Apricot only allows one membership at a time.
Would like to suggest that multiple memberships be allowed.
Thank you.

Hi.
We have a country club, which has golf members, and swimming pool members. We also have some which join both.
It appears as though you can only have one type of membership. I would like to suggest that anyone be able to have multiple memberships.
Hope that helps.
Thank you.

Hi,
I am in need of this too. Program directors usually hold both project and individual memberships, therefore we need to be able to use one email for at least two different memberships. -

Allow one email on several memberships!
I have many managers that are responsible for signing up other top management and NEED only that one managers email listed on all memberships. -

Our organization uses a membership structure of Individual Membership and Joint (Dual) membership. While we are currently using the Batching process to handle Joint Membership requirements, it's very cumbersome when it comes to event registration where a spouse is treated as a guest rather than a member. This results in inaccurate registrations which requires the web administrator to correcting invoicing, payments and/or handle registrations for members manually.
Our requirement for Joint Member event registration is that a registration automatically results in both husband/wife being registered with appropriate invoicing and payment for the joint registration fees.

@Matt, have a look at Calculated extra charges for membership levels - they seem to fit your scenario perfectly: https://gethelp.wildapricot.com/en/articles/136#calculated

We could really use this too. The use case is that we are a yacht club, and we would like to add a monthly charge for those members that have a boat. It varies by slip/boat length.
Process we have now is:
1. Enter slip and boat length in Wild Apricot for each member
2. Export member list to Excel
3. Compute slip rental fee in Excel
4. Use Word to mail merge based on Excel calcsIt would be really nice to be able to just add an arbitrary monthly charge!

With the new online store, one can set up a purchase of a one time item. However, we need to be able to bill members for optional recurring services (e.g. monthly). They'd need to be able to subscribe/unsubscribe, obviously, and update their credit card etc. But a recurring item separate from membership would be useful.
Thanks.
