Purchase of concurrent subscriptions e.g. have members on multiple levels

Create an option to allow a member to maintain two or more concurrent subscriptions for a paticular site. This is useful if you running a site and selling a subscriptions for information.

An exmaple of this is that I run a site that sells repair information. A customer signs up and then can choose to signup for Automotive Repair for $50 or Airplane Repair for $100 or both for $150. We need to keep the infromation and forums seperate and only limited to the actual subscribers.

My understanding that we can only have levels of a paticular membership, not concurrent memberships.

    For me personally, this a great suggestion and I’ve been thinking about it for long time myself. Ideally, I’d really like completely redesign our membership levels to concurrent subscriptions model. Subscription gives you access to some information or provide privileges. There can be multiple ways of buying it – e.g. for a year or two, recurring or not, etc. Altogether, subscription-based model is very robust and easy to understand. Please, vote!

        I have been reading through the comments and everyone has great application needs. Especially the person about video subscription. This is something that I am in need of very soon. I need my guests to sign up for classes online. These are basically videos and a test that they need to take. So I need to add a few more things but I need to have guests that can subscribe/purchase more than one type of membership. And would be nice to have different layouts for the page they view to purchase on. Create a cart for multiple purchases on that page.

        We have professional interest groups that are formed under the umbrella of our main membership organization and one of these groups has a small fee associated with membership that is above and beyond membership in the parent organization. This PIN runs on a calendar year where the parent organization runs its membership throughout the year by join date. The PIN would like for its members to renew online, but currently we are unable to provide more than an online payment for the initial application. Having a separate way to allow different renewals for parent organization membership and PIN membership would be a big help.

        We are in need of sub-memberships, or subscriptions as I've seen it called. We would like to have the ability for members to join sub-groups with additional fees, which would run concurrent with their membership term. We would also like the ability for them to add on one of these subscriptions at any time and still expire with their main membership (so system pro-ration would be involved).

        This is also an issue for our organization. We have members who need more than one level of membership.

        An individual can belong to multiple membership levels. The individual only has 1 email address. Since we can't have duplicate emails, one of the accounts has to have a fake email address which prevents us from including this person in any email campaigns specific to the second membership level.

        This would be extremely valuable for us. We sell subscriptions, and hold classes (events), but also have a tutoring service, a separate membership for alumni (and probably other constituents I am forgetting). As it stands, if someone signs up as a contact or member because they are interested in tutoring, we cannot track the unique data (membership fields) associated with that type and still allow them to subscribe (different fields). It would be nice if there were concurrent subscriptions / parallel memberships or similar.

        Yes, please. We could really use this feature. We have members that we would like to promote in multiple categories. Example, a winery ("Wineries" level) that has event space on their property ("Event Resources")

        I have also used your website to satisfy a need in my geographical area that has not been met before: I have created marketplaces for jobs, offices classified ads and internships using the membership feature of the website. This is cumbersome because a separate email is required for each membership even tho the same person/member wants to place one or more ads on the website. Because I have created, maintained and modified major software packages and systems earlier in my life, I understand that this may not be easy to solve: allowing one email to create multiple (sub) memberships. I can understand that this may not be a high priority but I would assume that other users of your product could benefit from creating similar marketplaces: to help existing members and to attract non-members to the website and the organization.

        Chip, the only way we found was to purchase two plans, one for the corporate, one for the personal. People who are the representative for their corporate body sometimes get a bit confused about the two sign ins and memberships but it works.

        The alternative was trying to get them to have two email addresses and for everyone to have to fill in a hugely complicated form to meet both corporate and personal needs and that just didn't work at all.

        When I was researching different systems I did find one that coped with dual personal and corporate membership but unfortunately it was not as good as WA in most other respects!

        I think this would also address a concern we have. Our organization has both individual and corporate memberships. Some of our individual members are also the "representative" for a corporate member, but I do not see a way to make a contact BOTH an individual member AND assign them to a different membership level bundle. How do other organizations address this?

        We are a Provincial Association with 38 Clubs. These club have members that may belong to more than one club.

        Is it possible to have more than one membership Level per members?

        I definitely support this. We have to purchase two subscriptions to accommodate two different membership groups which often comprise the same individuals. We would only have to pay for one if we could have more than one membership level for an individual. A lot of our members find it very confusing that they have two different log ins for their personal and group memberships.

        Our memberships are linked to geography. So some members want to pay for two different geographies. For that, we need the ability for a member to have the option of more than one membership level.

        (Our profiles are very important so different log-ins for different membership levels does not work)

        Good day,
        I would like to ask about the possibility of creating a membership website with your software that includes vidoes. Basically i would like my clients to subscribe to get vidoes made by me. there would be options for one time subscribers ( so get one video), weekly ( subscribe for a week) ,monthly ( one month), or ongoing. i will also have an option to subscribe for articles and programs created by me also.
        Could you please let me know if this is something that your software can offer and also what would be the best
        option to go for to get all these features?

        Each customer can only be a member of one membership level. I have several customers that are members of different levels but must enter them separately, with separate log-ins. This gets confusing and frustrating for customers.

        Have the ability to check them into different levels simultaneously.

        We have two main levels of membership, meetings and individuals. Some members are registered in both levels and normally only have one email address. They are not the sort of people who are going to cope with setting up alternate email addresses.

        Also, the Common Fields do not sit neatly with the application forms for the two classes of membership. Any workaround makes for a long, complicated and confusing form. Our members are not going to cope with this.

        So we have had to buy two plans, one for each. They each work perfectly separately but trying to combine the data into one plan didn't work at all. However, our membership numbers mean that one plan would be more than sufficient for all our needs. It also makes life a bit more difficult for our admins when they have to switch members membership levels.

        Can we please have the ability to have two separate systems for different classes of membership in one plan, so that individuals can be registered twice using the same contact details.
