For me personally, this a great suggestion and I’ve been thinking about it for long time myself. Ideally, I’d really like completely redesign our membership levels to concurrent subscriptions model. Subscription gives you access to some information or provide privileges. There can be multiple ways of buying it – e.g. for a year or two, recurring or not, etc. Altogether, subscription-based model is very robust and easy to understand. We could really use this too. The use case is that we are a yacht club, and we would like to add a monthly charge for those members that have a boat. It varies by slip/boat length.
Process we have now is:
1. Enter slip and boat length in Wild Apricot for each member
2. Export member list to Excel
3. Compute slip rental fee in Excel
4. Use Word to mail merge based on Excel calcs
It would be really nice to be able to just add an arbitrary monthly charge!
We’re collecting comments and votes for now, no actual development is planned so far
Will be available in the next system update.
Collecting comments now.
Sorry for the late update.
The first step was finished and emails can now be carbon copied to contact’s alternative emails. To do so the contact fields which store the alternative emails must be explicitly marked on the email setting page.
Unsubscribing will unsubscribe all alternative emails simultaneously because they all belong to the very same account. The person clicking “unsubscribe” is warned about this on the unsubscribe page.
For now we paused the development of this feature. but not for good. :) So I’m changing this wish status back to “collecting comments”.
Thank you everyone for a valuable feedback.
