Thank you to everyone who shared feedback on this idea. It shaped the design, and gave us the detail that made it workable.
The feature is in development. Here is what it will include:
- A new Event organizer role, separate from Event manager, so someone can run specific events without access to the rest of the account and other events.
- Three access levels, chosen per event: Check-in assistant, Registration manager and Event lead. Each level has own restrictions and designed accordingly.
- Organizer(s) are assigned on the Event details by Full administrators and Event managers.
- Organizers can’t see Contacts, Financial information, Emails and other pages. Only assigned events.
- A separate release of the mobile Admin app will follow shortly after the web release, to support the new role.
We’re aiming for a release in late November or December 2026. Dates may still move as we finish testing. We’ll post here…

Concurrent membership is not something easy to implement - it would require fundamental redesign of how membership works in WA. However, I have couple of thoughts here that I wanted to hear your feedback on.
As I understand, there are 2 sides of the problem:
1. Collecting additional dues for services. E.g. Member is associate and board member, so you need to collect both dues.
- This can be addressed using our extra fields functionality. Maybe it's a bit clunky, but it should work. E.g. setup associate member as primary membership and add extra charge checkbox for being a board member.
- You can easily filter down any members you need with advances search by that extra field.
2. Setting correct permissions on website pages - here there's no workaround we could suggest, but adding permissions based on saved searches seems to feasable option.

An error occurred while saving the comment This issue has been opened for many YEARS - much like other critical features. What's interesting about this one is it allows for additional revenue streams within an organization. WA has become very good at doing the same.

We're planning to remove plain text passwords from welcome email and follow existing best practices to let members (contacts) set the new password themselves after ther are registered in system
An error occurred while saving the comment I agree with this especially since WA is pushing their payment system. How is the credit card info stored; unencrypted text? I’m actually a bit concerned about paying my membership dues through WA if this is the care taken with my password, PCI-compliant or not.

An error occurred while saving the comment Plain text would be a great start!! An added bonus would be to see a notification on the phone when something is posted to a forum if the user chooses to do so in their settings. Thanks.

An error occurred while saving the comment I am excited about the app and looking forward to announcing to our members once the Android version is complete. What are the long term plans in terms of features and scalability? For example, is it planned or envisioned to allow each organization to manage which content appears on their app, similar to how each organization’s website is customized? I’d imagine something similar to a gadget feature. I know our organization would add a forum gadget which users would see their subscribed forums.

An error occurred while saving the comment We have many forums on our site and it's becoming very important that we know who has subscribed to a forum. Also, I'm not seeing a way to add a user to a forum. Is there a way to do that without creating a group?

Merged several posts together, so that both public and admins lists can be customized. This is better for analysis and design to work on them together.
An error occurred while saving the comment We run several events that begin in the spring and end in the fall. One of the registration types is to register as a sub so you can fill in for someone else that can't make it. Because subs come and go, we need to continually run a sub list for each event. It would be really great if people could look at the participant list on demand. I was going to add a saved search to the website, but didn't see a way to do that. In any case - however participants can be able to view the participant list would be very helpful to us and save us lots of time in running and re-running reports to try to keep up with the changes.

We’re building a new feature that will cover this request: an Event organizer role, which lets someone run specific events without access to the rest of the account.

Hello!
We’re glad to share that the first two system push notifications are now live in the Member App on both iOS and Android. Members will now receive updates when:
- New events are published and open for registration
- Event reminders — sent a day before and an hour before the event starts
These new tools are designed to boost member engagement and help attendees stay in the loop.
Members can manage these notifications anytime in their app settings.
Another system push — notifications about event changes — is coming in the next release. Stay tuned!

An error occurred while saving the comment This would be a great feature especially when you're running outdoor events or functions that are subject to be cancelled or changed last minute. Having event-specific push notifications would save so much time and participants would be happy since they won't need to check their emails for updates, they can just look at their phone.
Other ideas around push notifications to consider:
Ability to send push notifications to registered event participants
Ability to send to different member levels or groups
Ability to schedule a push notification for a later date
Allow push notifications to have images and links.
Push notifications to members that are in a specific geographical region
This is fantastic! We have over 100 events each year where over 70 members lead the individual events. If an event is rained out or the time changes, it’s crucial that the event leader have the current roster. Ideally they could send a push notification.
