An error occurred while saving the comment An error occurred while saving the comment Dmitry Buterin commentedAlex,
yes, this help, thanks.
Let me confirm
Are you talking about just using these amount as search criteria to select records? If so, what is the overall workflow - why do you need to select these and how would you use this afterwards?
or are you talking about some kind of report by person?
An error occurred while saving the comment Dmitry Buterin commentedAlex,
So in Wild Apricot terms we would talk about total invoiced amount, correct? (Or actually paid?)
Do you need the total only - or by area (membership/events/donations/other)?
Overall total or for a specific time period?
Overall, I would appreciate more details about the workflow on how this would be used.

An error occurred while saving the comment Dmitry Buterin commentedI totally agree with your point about the usefulness of seeing a particular person's posts (And I would appreciate if you could create a thread on this) - but this thread is about something else, about seeing people who signed up to receive email notifications about a particular forum.
An error occurred while saving the comment Dmitry Buterin commentedI am curious - what is the situation when you need to find this out and how it would be used further?
An error occurred while saving the comment Dmitry Buterin commentedQuestion: another way to look at this is to provide a way to specify default subscription option for new members - so they automatically get subscribed without having to do anything.
E.g. there can be 'default forum subscription settings page' which would apply for new members and potentially can have an option to apply to existing users (e.g after initial import or if forums are changed around)
What do you think?
An error occurred while saving the comment Dmitry Buterin commentedWill, there is currently no way to obtain this information, I will move this to our wishlist.
An error occurred while saving the comment Dmitry Buterin commentedChuck, thanks for posting.
Everybody - please comment/vote to help us determine the priority of this.
An error occurred while saving the comment Dmitry Buterin commentedFYI - we are also planning a feature to pre-set which forums new members are automatically subscribed to.
An error occurred while saving the comment Dmitry Buterin commentedWe do not have this yet - but it is being considered for the future.
An error occurred while saving the comment Dmitry Buterin commentedThis sounds like a good idea. Let's hear what other clients think.

An error occurred while saving the comment Dmitry Buterin commentedYou can currently export to Excel the list of registrants which does contain all registration fields - does this help?

An error occurred while saving the comment Dmitry Buterin commentedPenny,
Do not worry, we would not take any unreasonable actions. And if you ever need more space, we can add extra space for a small one-time fee.
An error occurred while saving the comment Dmitry Buterin commentedFYI - member photo albums are currently NOT counted into your space total (though this might change in the future)

An error occurred while saving the comment Dmitry Buterin commentedBTW, ideally I think these menu items should be somehow visually differentiated so that site visitors are not unexpectedly thrown to some other place.

An error occurred while saving the comment Dmitry Buterin commentedAlan,
Can you take me through your scenario in more detail? I am not sure I am getting what exactly you are doing and how you want system to behave.
An error occurred while saving the comment Dmitry Buterin commentedVery good point, thanks!
An error occurred while saving the comment Dmitry Buterin commentedNormally links to web pages use page ID which does not change when page is renamed - so old links still work. The only exception to this is if you use custom URLs - then inserted links use those and they do get broken when custom URL is renamed. Is that the situation you referred to?

An error occurred while saving the comment Dmitry Buterin commentedThanks! I would love to hear input from other users - what do you do similarly/differently?
An error occurred while saving the comment Dmitry Buterin commentedI would appreciate more detailed background on this - overall credentialing process. I suspect this is not uncommon among our users and if we do anything about it, it should be done right, with full understanding of the big picture.

An error occurred while saving the comment Dmitry Buterin commentedWell, this request still makes sense.
I am thinking that we can add add a button to send payment receipt right from the invoice if it has been paid.

An error occurred while saving the comment Dmitry Buterin commentedRight now, our focus is to finish the CMS redesign in version 5 so we are putting everything else aside. Once we release it in the summer, we will review and tackle accumulated requests. We will post updates in relevant threads.

An error occurred while saving the comment Dmitry Buterin commentedIn this scenario I would suggest not to copy the event but create new one from scratch.
From what I have seen, the biggest benefit of copying people get is from:
1) registration types
2) Event-specific customized announcements and/or reminders
About dates - we were not able to figure out how to automatically and transparently change all the dates when copying - I would appreciate ideas in this regard.
An error occurred while saving the comment Dmitry Buterin commentedSorry, I do not get your point, can you elaborate?
An error occurred while saving the comment Dmitry Buterin commentedAfter an internal discussion we realized that this is no a simple change and there is a variety of scenarios. So it's not something we can jump in and change quickly - but we would appreciate votes/comments/insight from other users - it would be of great help.

An error occurred while saving the comment Dmitry Buterin commentedSorry I can't think of any workaround, for now this would have to be done via option buttons with extra charges.

An error occurred while saving the comment Dmitry Buterin commentedAre you finding that people having trouble locating the renewal button?
FYI, you can add a direct prominent link to renewal anywhere your site, e.g. in the header, see
An error occurred while saving the comment Dmitry Buterin commentedBob, thanks understood. Currently, changing levels is not connected to the renewal at all, As this thread shows, this is a frequent request and something our product design team plans to work on this year.
An error occurred while saving the comment Dmitry Buterin commentedBob, can you comment re p.2 in your description - how exactly people renew at a different level right now, do they start a new membership application with a different email address or somehow else? (Since Wild Apricot renewal process does not have an option to change level)
An error occurred while saving the comment Dmitry Buterin commentedGreig, thanks for posting.
I would appreciate comments from others - is it common for people to change levels during renewal?
Is this only due to payment terms tied to the level and a better long-term solution to allow membership levels with multiple payment terms for the same level?

An error occurred while saving the comment Dmitry Buterin commentedKeith, this does not look like something we would tackle for the time being.
An error occurred while saving the comment Dmitry Buterin commentedAlso, FYI - one thing we have in our pipeline is full tracking of all outgoing emails per contact (email blasts as well as automatic emails). I think this is closely related to what is being suggested - but I understand that you are also suggesting to track other interactions/actions and follow-ups (e.g. phone calls)
An error occurred while saving the comment Dmitry Buterin commentedI would appreciate more input re Outlook integration - examples of other systems doing this.
As far as I understand, we are talking about displaying local Outlook data filtered by a specific recipient email.
I have not come across this kind of functionality before. I can imagine this is possible in IE via ActiveX objects (and probably would require some installation/security settings to allow for a webpage to interact with Outlook) - but I have no idea if this can work in other browsers.

An error occurred while saving the comment Dmitry Buterin commentedThanks for the comment. By the way, for now with manual blasts you can filter out already registered people via Advanced search in Contacts.
An error occurred while saving the comment Dmitry Buterin commentedCan you elaborate what exactly you would ideally like to see in the system?
Did you consider simply sending a manual email blasts with links to various events?

An error occurred while saving the comment Dmitry Buterin commentedJenn - how would you typically use this? Do you need to download it - or would an onscreen report do?
An error occurred while saving the comment Dmitry Buterin commentedOK, I see.
Can you comment why is this needed/important?
And I would appreciate comments from other users.
An error occurred while saving the comment Dmitry Buterin commentedDo you mean produce a donations report with totals by year instead of current by month?

We're currently working on customizing level change emails.
Dmitry Buterin supported this idea ·An error occurred while saving the comment Dmitry Buterin commentedThat particular thread was just a question/answer. I merged your post to the relevant wishlist request thread.
An error occurred while saving the comment Dmitry Buterin commentedCan you elaborate what particular email you are referring to? (Copy-paste contents of a sample one if you have it)
The reason I am asking is that members should receive an invoice email already for level changes - and you can (and should) customize invoice email to include your address.

An error occurred while saving the comment Dmitry Buterin commentedThere is no timeline for this sorry - I would say it's not likely to be looked at in 2011 as it is unfortunately below many other requests in terms of # of requests.
An error occurred while saving the comment Dmitry Buterin commentedJack, scheduled emails are not currently possible - but there is a request already on the wishlist:
An error occurred while saving the comment Dmitry Buterin commentedIt has been suggested by some users that it would be desirable to have an option when sending out newsletters to have them automatically converted into a web page and added to some kind of online archive.
I would appreciate comments and votes.

An error occurred while saving the comment Dmitry Buterin commentedOK, thanks.
I would really appreciate hearing from other users who need reporting like this - so that we can prioritize this.
An error occurred while saving the comment Dmitry Buterin commentedThanks for the elaboration. In this regard, are you interested at all in reporting by registration type?
Let me draft something for the sake of discussion - please comment on this:
---
Total event registrations: XXX (basically invoices corresponding to event registrations
Online payments: YYY (invoiced and collected. Abandoned payments would not be included anywhere)
Manual payments invoiced: ZZZ (XXX = YYY+ZZZ)
Payments collected: AAA
By tender:
tender 1: A1
tender 2: A2
...
A1+A2+...=AAA
Payments still outstanding: BBB (AAA+BBB=ZZZ)
An error occurred while saving the comment Dmitry Buterin commentedThe thing is that in the old system there was no clear cut distinction between revenue (income, invoices) and cash inflows (payments). Now there is clear distinction. Event payments report (I agree the name should be changed) is based in event registrations.
So can you elaborate - maybe type up a quick sample of what exactly do you want to see? Income (based on who has registered) or cash received (based on payments received - full or partial).
An error occurred while saving the comment Dmitry Buterin commentedOK, I think I know what you mean. I was talking about Finances/Payments report and I think you are talking about Event/Payments report - a different thing altogether, sorry about the confusion.
Unfortunately that one displays payments by registration type, not by payment tender. I split this out into a separate thread. Please describe what do you ideally need and how it would be used.
An error occurred while saving the comment Dmitry Buterin commentedSystem does display the totals for each tender so I am still not clear on what is the problem.
Can you email us at tech support with an example of what you are seeing and what is missing? (Notice: if you do not have any online payments, there will be no line and thus no total for online payments)
An error occurred while saving the comment Dmitry Buterin commentedThe new payments report gives you a breakdown by payment tender - Online/manual and by custom tenders. So I do not think you have lost anything, I think the reconciliation will become much easier because with custom tenders you can separate checks from cash from discounts etc.

Merged several posts together, so that both public and admins lists can be customized. This is better for analysis and design to work on them together.
