Photo Gadget
Hi all. I would love to have a photo gadget on our home page, which shows the most recently added photo's to the photo gallery - similar to the forum gadget which shows the most recently updated forum topics. We have a lot of photo's on our site in different categories and it's hard for members to see when new photo's have been added unless they go looking in all the specific categories.
Thanks!
Cheers, Penny

Random photo gadget
A gadget to show one random photo from a selected photo album. The photo could be sized as needed and optionally linked to show the larger image in the album. Optionally, it could have subtext displaying the name of the member that contributed it.

Display membership whose renewal date is > something
I'd like to display someplace on the website the current count of members that are active, and I'd also like to display the number of those that have already renewed for the next year. Something like:
Active Membership: X
Of the membership, X have renewed for 2011
(We are on a calendar based membership)
How easy is this?
thanks!

New Gadget: See who is currently logged in
Desired:
A gadget where members who are currently logged into your site are displayed. There would be a list of those who are logged in, with links to their profile pages. Members would have the ability to indicate if they want to be included in this gadget, and for those that do their field-level privacy settings would be respected.
This could be used to show visitors to the site, or logged in members (by putting it in a member restricted area), who is currently on the site which can help encourage communication between people (by using the Member contact form,…

Gadget to display member images (logos/pictures)
I would like to be able to insert a widget-like window on any page, or in the header/footer area, that would scroll the logo images from member records.
The window would simply scroll the logos as links to the member. Ideally, administrators could provide a title for the box (ie "Our Members" etc.). Adding search capabilities would allow us to create different scolling sets as well (ie one box could be all members, another could be based on location - state, province, city etc.)

Gadget to show member activity
i would also like to pile onto this suggestion. A functional page or gadget within a page that would announce new albums or new album content would make this feature much more compelling IMO.
In fact a widget that generally announced membership directory events would be very useful, for example:
John Doe has joined the organization
Bob Smith has a new email address (assuming that he has made it public), new job, etc
Karen Jones is now a life member
Chris White has created a photo album named Spring Convention photos with 10 images
Alex Black has added 5 photos…

Display members as a tag cloud using custom fields as tags
I don't know if this has been mentioned before, but several of my members would like to have their membership searchable based off of certain meta tags that they can define. I would love to see a criteria in the membership profile for member imputed meta tags.

Gadget to show recently updated pages
Current behavior:
users have no way of knowing which webpages have been recently updated - unless administrator manually creates a page informing them of updates.Desired behavior:
Some kind of module/widget which can be inserted onto any page and which dynamically would show most recent updates.Notes:
1) ideally track which pages users has already seen.
2)What's the best way to show updates? Simplest idea: Top 10 mostrecently updated pages. For each page - show page name, date updatedand user who updated it (probably show this only to logged in members, not to the public)11 votes -
Document Library Gadget
Our community organization maintains a lot of short legal PDF documents for reference by our members. The current website we use has a document library function which makes it easy to load a lot of documents into a web page. This page then lists their titles, when they were added, how many hits each document has had over time, etc. You can also sort and resort the documents by clicking on the various column headings.
Right now, we have to manually insert details about each document into a static HTML table. Keeping the documents properly sorted is also difficult. If…
