Registrant to view and change his event registrations
Current features:
Once registered, a person can not change anything (i.e. cancel/edit details) about their registration, this can only be done by the administrator
Desired behavior:
Registrants should have the ability to view and edit their own event registration(s)
Hello, dear supporters!
We’re happy to announce that now your registrants can view and cancel registrations.
This suggestion has accumulated many votes and comments. As usual, we started with the main needs and some of your requests are not covered in this release.
What released:
- All registrants now can view all their event registrations in one place. There is new tab ’My registrations’ in the profile.
- You, as administrator, can allow them to cancel their registrations and specify cut-off date if required.
- We added new email – Event registration cancelled. This message is sent when a registration was cancelled, either by an administrator or by the registrant.
What is not covered yet:
- Managing late event cancellation (cancellation fee) – https://forums.wildapricot.com/forums/308932/suggestions/8826904
- Adding guests later or changing existing ones – https://forums.wildapricot.com/forums/308932/suggestions/8827063
- Changing registration details https://forums.wildapricot.com/forums/308932/suggestions/32407099
Check our help page for more information about these changes and others, that we added in this release – https://help.wildapricot.com/display/DOC/Release+5.15
We hope you’ll like it. Please leave your feedback any time by email, by using in-product feedback form and use our Wishlist for sharing your new suggestions.
Thank you for your patience and have a great day!

We would like event attendees to have the ability to remove themselves from events.
Thanks for your consideration.

Agreed. How about starting with just FREE registrations? Those are uncomplicated. My suggestion: right next to the Attendees list(visisble to members who are paid up) add a "Cancel" button. Should only work if a member is logged in. If someone tries to cancel someone else, message pop up would be something on the lines of: "You are not authorised to cancel another Member's registration".
That should do it.

I would appreciate input form others. This is not a simple issue, we have to consider:
- free and paid registrations
- cut off dates
- how refunds are issued

Mike,
Member can not currently review his registrations or cancel them. I will move this to wishlist.

I can't seem to find help in this area, but has anyone found a way for a member to go into his profile and look at all the events he has registered for and have the option of canceling them?
And in this regard, can the Admin set up a time limit for cancellations e.g. 48 hours prior to the event, so if the member tries to cancel inside that limit he or she receives a pop up denying the cancellation with the message indicating a time limit?
Mike.

I know you have your plates full but I'd like vote for moving this up in priority!

James, there has been no progress on this issue so far, we have to focus on other items with higher priority for now.

Any updates on this? One additional area that could be included with this tread is the ability to change their registration type after they register. For instance, if they register for a Full Registration type and then after they submit that registration, they realize they want to switch to a one day registration, there is no way for the attendee nor the admin user to correct this. The Admin user has to actually completely delete the registration and re-register them to correct this situation. This is a crazy interface and needs to be corrected, but I can see how the pricing adjustments could be difficult to program. However, there has to be a better way to manage this then deleted them and re-keying everything.

I totally agree and this is the direction we are working toward - to have all contacts able to log in etc.

I really like the idea of this one. Now that you have a consolidated database, it would be nice to allow non-member contacts to have the ability to "login" so they can see their event registration history, make adjustments or "REQUEST" a cancellation or refund.
I totally agree that we don't want users to be able to handle any return of money, but perhaps they can initiate an e-mail or some kind of notification within Wild Apricot to request a cancellation or refund. I really like the idea that "contacts" can login and see their history, but yet not have the same access that members would have. This would require some programing to control access and keep track of who they are, especially if you are dealing with a suspended member, but I like the idea of attendees being able to administer their registration after they register.

We want to use event registration on the "member only" access side of our site. Members want to continue using yahoo for our event registrations because they cannot see who else is signed up with the current WA registration process. We look forward to this upgrade in the future!

We have around 40 Events per week and most of them are free to registrants, it would therefore be ideal if the registrant was able to cancel their own booking within a deadline

I've yet to find a way for members to be able to view a listing of events for which they've registered.
At a minimum, our members need to be able to see the event name, date/time, and location. Additional detail would be nice.

It would be nice to have a feature that cancels an event. In our case, we have over 100 attendees for an event tomorrow we are canceling due to icy roads.
Without a "Cancel Event" feature, I have to manually cancel every registration for this event so that the members do not owe a balance OR so that an already paid registration can be applied to a future event.
The "Cancel Event" feature would generate an e-mail going to all attendees notifying them that the event has been canceled. It would also automatically cancel all registrants.
It would be really nice if the e-mail could be different for online & offline attendees. It would be great if it had a macro for current balance, so that we could say in the e-mail, "With this event being canceled, you do not owe the event fee and your current balance is $XXX" , or "With this event canceled, you now have a credit to your account in the amount of $XXX".
