This has our vote for sure!
We'd like to have our member profiles include a video as well. An ad or anything they choose, even if it's hosted on Youtube or similar originally but includes a link to the video and a still image of it.
this is a great idea...we would love this too!
I would like to know if you could create a way to link only the email's domain to a membership.
Would it be possible to associate only the email domain with a membership so anyone that enters an email address associated with a member company gets the member discount at our events. For example: anyone that uses an email address ending in @millercoors.com receives the discount.
Justin this is a great idea! We have been struggling with the same thing as Cities and Municipalities join our membership! The turn over is high and there are a lot of members. We have simply asked that they use a generic log in and everyone at the organization shares it... BUT having WA automatically recognize certain domain names would be AWESOME!
I'm sure that there would be problems with domains like gmail.com etc.. but maybe in the membership bundle there would be a setting to automatically add or suggest folks with the same domain and you could turn that on of off?
I would like the ability to be able to schedule a follow-up email to all attendees of an event when the event is built.
We would like this ability as well. Should be easy to implement. And be so useful!
YES! This is a great idea... we do these calculations too often and would love to see it automated!
Member directly is shown using JS code and this is not properly handled by search engines.
I'm inclined to think this is not so much a flaw in search engine indexing, as you imply, but of the membership directory design. Some effort was put into making static pages search engine friendly, but the member directory, which is probably the most important part of the system, was left out of that mix. I hope you are giving this problem some priority.
I agree and would like to see this given a high priority as our members joins us for the eduction we offer and the advocacy we provide on behalf of an industry. If our members could be found through us it would add SO much value to membership!
I agree this is a very valuable idea....and something that we have been asked for from our membership.
If this is not available to us through Wild Apricot is there a workaround so that members in the directory are found through a google search?
This is a great idea and we would too support the development of this. At the moment we simply don't enable the guest registration since it's such a pain to look up members' status.
On this request, we began to work on design and development.
This change will be part of a large improvement over multiple registrations. In addition, it is a logical extension of the ‘RSVP with guests’ feature in which we have already added the ability to set limits (part of 5.18 release).

Yes! please!, We like this idea....
We have lots of event where at a level of sponsorship you may ad a guest, but there is a limit...
It would help us out to have this defined by WA and managed by not allowing people to bring multiple guests rather than calling them after the fact to give them the bad news :(
You have NO idea how much we would love this feature. As it stands now We often have to come up with this exact data. I run reports and export total number of lapsed members in given time period , etc, and it takes a bit of massaging the data to come up wtih this info... You would make my life so much easier if it were done in WA.....
Could you consider adding to the report statistics how many people changed membership levels.... such as renewed at an individual level rather than maintaining membership at a business level.
We also give a certain number of guest passes to our members. It would be great if they could download a pass or register a certain number of guests based on their level. Would save us from having to print and mail out guest passes!
This is a great idea and has our support as one of those wish list items....we certainly would make use of it if it were a feature you added!
If this doens't take much in the way of programming it is a great idea! a nice little lcing on the cake!
This would be so nice for us!! As it is now we have a similar function which scrolls through images held on our server of our major members and sponsors.... it's not as super easy to use as the suggestion to have WA develop it and have it integrated the profiles.
Another chart that would be very valuable would be members vs non-members registered for events.
We absolutely support a quick easy way to track new vs renewals vs lapsed (or not renewing members) each month and yearly.... Currently I export this data into a spreadsheet for our board to review each month... Now that I've got it down it's not such a big deal BUT it would be SO awesome for others to be able to export this data quickly and to have it quickly viewable in a chart!!!!!
IN this chart we'd like to see a dollar figure that represents the amount of income that each set of data represents. (this doesn't have to be exact. ie take into account prorated dues or anything else... BUT it might be a generic calculation such as x number of individuals lapsed at $X dues = $X in income OR maybe have the membership numbers broken down by category so we can easlily make these calculations.... )
YES that one has my vote!!!!!
However... I think we have SO many more pressing things we really want WA to develop...i wouldn't support this feature coming before any of these below we want so badly.
1 invoicing and receipts for renewals including ability to prorate and adjust amounts
2 membership cards online for print by members with info from profiles
3 ability to set up payment plans that are automatically managed through WA
We would really like this feature too... Late fees for late renewals OR the option to get a discount if you renew early... either way the incentive is the same and we'd love to offer something to keep folks from lapsing
Any news on Wild Apricot including this as a feature rather than hiring external developers to create it?
Also along these lines it would be nice for members to add videos to thier profile and note which members have videos.
We also are interested in seeing such a feature!
We would like this feature as well!!
We are a trade organization and want to allow members of the public to post questions that our members who are local building experts can answer on the forum.
I understand the complexity of opening up the forum to everyone regarding spam. BUT we'd REALLY like to have the public be able to use it.
We see this as a way (as a trade organization) to allow and facilitate interaction between Joe Public who wants to know about solar panels for his home and our members who are experts in this arena.
Ideally the posts regarding each question then appear in the gadgets you designed to host snippets of the conversation.... this gadget is on our home page and a great way for people to SEE discussions happening in the community between homeowners wanting green building services and our members who provide those services.
What can we do to accomplish this? If not by opening up the forum for new comments by the public, the workaround is that the public can comment on a topic that is STARTED by a member - though that does not break the posts into threads that are viewable on the gadget you created. SO not ideal but do-able.
Please continue to think about this request.
