Hi another seemingly popular request for a change that would appear to be fairly straightforward and surprisingly not already implemented as part of the platform 'basics'. Can we please have an update?

I would like to be able to edit the Password Reset email ("Choose a new password for your account") because we are a Canadian association and all our communications need to be bilingual.

We want to customize the system generated email that is sent when user is resetting their password.

We have our own website, so rely on the widgets and API and so users would log into our website and not https://sites.wildapricot.org . They would, but only once a year to renew their membership.

WA support says we cannot customize this email and recommended posting this request here.

I am agree with Winter : some of our members have been suspicious of the password reset email because it is just a plain text email, doesn't have any contact info for any of our team members, doesn't look like any of our other emails, etc. As a new organization we need our members to trust us!

This has been on the wishlist for close to 3 years and seems like it should be relatively easy to implement; just make this email editable like every other system email. We have major recruitment drives by mail, and getting passwords out to hundreds of new members in a user-friendly way each time is a nightmare. This unbranded clunky email should not be one of the first experiences a new member has with our website. I know you probably can't give an ETA, but can we get this in the pipeline to be worked on at least?

Another surprised new admin here! Was just about to customise it etc before a launch.

It will be one of the first emails our users see if we choose not to include plain text password in the intro email (there's another thread about why that's not a secure idea) and most users will end up here sooner or later.

Am loving the software otherwise (thanks!), but hard to understand how this, which must be widely used, hasn't risen up in the list of priorities.

Wow, I was just getting ready to customize this email, since yesterday I customized the new email password, and now I find out it cannot be done. That really is crazy, especially since I am trying to professionalize our system emails with our logo and name.

I am incredulous that your "forgot password" email template CANNOT BE EDITED.
This email sends the reader to Wild Apricot which is not what we want to do. I spoke with customer service and she agreed with me that there should be a way of editing this email. Please, please, please make this happen!

It’s rather ridiculous that this feature has not been added. It can’t be difficult given that all other system email can be customized.

Yes I have to agree with this request. The existing Password Reset email template is not correct for our organisation. It also lacks the tidy formatting of our other customizable system emails.

The system emails do not seem to be going to members anymore, only to admins. So new applicants aren't receiving them, and manual sends for password resets aren't going to members, only to the admin.

When using WA with an external website, this email creates confusion.

Hey Wild Apricot, it's well PAST the time to fix this major snafu. This Wishlist request started more than FIVE YEARS AGO. There have been some pretty awesome improvements in the last five years, however the WA powers that be don't seem to think this is important. It is important - the current email is poorly written and often leads users in circles. Let's do this! Thank you.

All automated emails should be customizable. Some are poorly written. What is the rationale behind only allowing partial customization of system functions?

I'm customizing the system emails for my organization, and was very surprised that the Password Reset email couldn't be changed. I concur with the others that this is a vital email to customize and make user-friendly and linked accurately.
